Hideo regained his balance, fortunately avoiding the sudden burst of vines and thorns erupting from the theater. His Pokemon avoided harm too, and neither his Beheeyem nor Ribombee were really hurt in their scuffle with Chu-e Choi - those rocks that hit his Beheeyem didn't amount to much harm.

But with the man off on his own, Hideo was once again forced to find his bearings - and focus on his initial objection: find Eris Halla . Not just for his own desire - Chu-E asked him to.

Yet moving around with these vines wasn't going yo be easy, and he hadn't brought any Pokemon that could lift him over them. Without any Pokemon to dig under them either, that left one remaining option: go through them. And he did bring a Pokemon perfectly-suited for the task.

He recalled his Ribombee, switching it out for his much larger, much tougher Aggron. "Aaron, see if you can do something about these vines," Hideo ordered.

He received a nod, the Aggron getting to work at tearing through the vines and thorns, his steel-like body more than tough enough to avoid getting pricked along the way.

His Beheeyem, meanwhile, was on the lookout for Eris - or even what had been responsible for the vines in the first place. Something this big appearing that quickly couldn't have been made by any random Pokemon.

And with how it aimed at them, it probably wasn't from someone friendly.

As aggron tore through the vines, more and more would begin to grow and replace them. Until eventually a hand emerges from the vines and punches the pokemon in the face, hopefully pushing it back. bryan emerged from the vines. "And where do you think you're going kid." he comments, his voice changing slightly as he was now older since the last time he spoke to hideo. [break][break]

"The theater is closed to customers. You need to leave, or I'll make you." he answers, taking no pleasure in threatening the young man he met on a couple of occasions. [break][break]

But work was work. [break][break]

From the vines emerges another pokemon, Bryan's pangoro "Mega punch." he orders as Bryan Pangoro lunges forward, his IRON FIST ability enhancing the attack further and attempting to punch aggron back further.

While his Aggron was more than capable of tearing through the vines, it wasn’t making much progress; the vines were regrowing faster than he could destroy them. “Well, worse comes to worse,” Hideo began, sighing, “we could just have you carry us over them.”

There was a tinge of regret for not bringing a flying Pokemon with him, but then again, it wasn’t like whatever Rocket was looking for was up in the sky. He still had to wonder what could've made vines like these.

But the sound of a fist striking metal(-like face) stole his attention, his Aggron staggering back slightly. Seems they’d drawn the attention of another Rocket, one whose voice he vaguely recognized, albeit without a name coming to mind.

“You’re the one that should leave,” he retorted, his Aggron regaining its balance, “You’re hurting everyone who lives here for what? Some kind of power?”

His Beheeyem notified him of the Pokemon emerging from the vines, his Aggron bracing for the incoming punch with an Iron Defense. The attack pushed the Aggron back slightly, but it held its ground - and was ready to retaliate. “Aaron, crush’em!” Hideo ordered, his Aggron glaring at the Pangoro as it charged forward, aiming to crush the attacker with a Body Press.

"Wont take no for an answer huh?" he says as a grin slowly spreads across his face. Bryan liked a fight, he had spunk. "Fine then. Let's tussle." [break][break]

Bryan's Pangoro was slammed onto the floor as the aggron fully charged into Bryan's fighting panda. It was effect thanks to the dark typing of pangoro but this pokemon could take hits like he gave them out. "Fire punch." he orders as Bryan decides to suddenly leap in there as well to fight. Pangoro's fists ignite and aim to punch into Aggron's stomach while Bryan leapt towards it's legs, looking to deliver some swift super strengthed kicks.

Well, no shock that led into a full-blown battle. It’d be his first proper battle in Littleroot - that one he had with Chu-e Choi was a quick scuffle - and he was more than prepared for a fight.

Yet he hadn’t expected his Beheeyem to tell him the other trainer was actually jumping into the fight as well. While Hideo himself had to fend off some Pokemon by himself a couple times, both were out of necessity. And against much smaller Pokemon than an Aggron.

Even more shocking was that the man’s attacks were actually pushing his Aggron back, his Pokemon trying its best not to lose its balance between the Pangoro’s Fire Punch and the man’s leg-attacks. It could take the attacks well enough, but being pushed back like this was completely unexpected.

Hideo was quick to recompose himself. “Aaron, focus on the Pangoro! Elga, get that guy out of there!”

His Aggron went for a less mobile attack, a Flash Cannon firing from its mouth towards the Pangoro.

His Beheeyem, meanwhile, focused a Psychic on the man, attempting to toss him aside and away from the battle. It was meant more to get him out of there than to actually cause harm, though that was more due to its trainer’s request; Hideo didn’t want to hurt the man unless necessary.

The Aggron did well to stand up to Bryan and Pangoro's attacks as keep balance would have been no easy feat for anyone or any Pokémon. [break][break]

The Flash canon barrels into Pangoro and pushes him back, a steam coming off of it's body as the pokemon fully tanked the hit head on. Bryan was also successfully flung into the Psychic, however it seemed like he let himself be taken by it? He got flung into the wall but Hideo may have been surprised to find out, there was no sound of collison with the wall at all. [break][break]

Bryan had SUNKEN INTO THE ROOTS COVERING THE ROOM. He had used his avatar ability to TREE STRIDE into the roots and reappeared above aggron, wrapping himself around the Pokémon's head and covering his eye to try and blind it. "Pangoro! Sock him!" he ordered as it seemed that Pangoro had been anticipating this and rushed forward with a BULLET PUNCH

A successful hit followed by a successful flick. They were managing pretty well, and they still had plenty of energy to go.

Yet Hideo didn’t need his Beheeyem to tell him something was off about the man; he already seemed way stronger than anyone else, but Hideo noticed the absence of a *thump*, whether on the ground or on a wall. His Beheeyem was telling him the man outright disappeared into the vines.

The gears were running in Hideo’s head, but the realization hit him as he was told the man emerged above his Aggron.

“Oh shit, he’s an avatar.”

His heart began to race: his first battle with a Rocket, and it was a freaking avatar.

A roar from his Aggron brought him out of his thoughts, just now finding out the man - an avatar - was right on top of his Aggron. Covering his Pokemon’s eyes, just in time to hear the man order an attack. Hideo could count himself lucky his Beheeyem was keeping him aware of everything; against an opponent this tough, slipping up for even a moment was a recipe for disaster.

“A-Aaron, Protect yourself! Up front!” His Aggron was quick to erect a Protective barrier around himself, blocking the Bullet Punch. The attack was blocked just in time, keeping

Though it did have the unfortunate effect of keeping the man above him safe from any attacks as well - from the outside. The Aggron reached up towards the man, trying to grab him and toss him at his own Pokemon. His Pokemon sure wasn’t tossing him any closer towards Hideo.

Eventually the aggron manages to grab bryan and toss him again, this time towards a spot with less vines that didn't allow him to tree stride fully. [break][break]

But he had a couple of tricks up his sleeves, he was a crafty bastard. He recalls his pangoro "Silvally." he calls as he sends out one of his more fearsome pokemon. "Take this." he says tossing a cd as Silvally leaps into the air and catches it, becoming a FIGHTING type.[break][break]

He rushes forward, charging towards aggron again but this time silvally is the one who vanishes. TREE STRIDING as well as he appears from underneath aggron using a FIGHTING TYPE MULTI ATTACK.

The momentary switch gave Hideo some time to think, short as it was.

There was no knowing how strong this guy was, or what other Pokemon he had. Hideo could have his Aggron Mega Evolve, but then he’d risk catching the man in the crossfire. While he might be stronger, Hideo didn’t know if the man was tougher too, and killing him was a major risk. Rocket or not, Hideo wasn’t here to kill people, just stop them.

The man switched his Pangoro out for another Pokemon - one that his Beheeyem was quick to identify as just like Franky - the Silvally they found in that cave. That left a pile of bodies lying around when they found it.

Hearing his Aggron take a nasty hit - and being told the man’s Pokemon could travel through the vines as well - was enough to convince him how outmatched he was here. His Aggron was the toughest Pokemon he brought, and it was up against an even tougher Pokemon now.

“We gotta go,” Hideo muttered, taking out his Aggron’s Pokeball. He recalled his KO'd Aggron just as it was about to hit the ground, promptly taking his Beheeyem by the arm and booking it away from the theater.

He wasn’t going to put his Pokemon at risk here. He didn’t want any more to die from his incapability.

Was he trying to leave? Bryan had considered letting him go at first. But...if he learned anything from his interactions with Eris Halla. [break][break]

Children left alone to their own devices could become a problem. [break][break]

"You think you can leave so easily? Escape isnt an option anymore kiddo." he warns him as he suddenly interlocks his knuckles and the tree's vines and roots begin to move again, suddenly growing further in length as they seal off the exit Hideo was going for. "I was going to let you go before, but a little friend of mine reminded me of how annoying kids can be if they're left alone. So i'm gonna knock your pokemon out one by one." he says in a threatening tone. [break][break]

"Tri attack." he orders as three balls of different types of energy manifest by Silvally's side and aim right for the Beheyeem.

Hideo had hoped that the Rocket guy would actually make good on his initial word - he was leaving, which was what the guy told him to do.

Well, that turned out wrong; Hideo could hear the vines and roots move in the way of his path. So not only could this guy travel through the vines, but he could move them as well. Not good.

“Well gee,” Hideo said, turning towards the man with a sly smile on his face, “Here I was hoping you’d keep your word.” The few beads of sweat building up on his forehead betrayed his anxiety; his toughest Pokemon was down, and now he was legitimately cornered by an avatar that wasn’t going to let him go. “Guess that’s my fault for having trust.”

His Beheeyem pulled its hand out of his grasp, moving away from Hideo as the Silvally’s Tri-Attack came towards it, hitting it straight-on. Hideo knew there wasn’t much playing around with a Pokemon as strong as a Silvally, and he’d have to respond with all he had.

“Elga! Go all out!” His Beheeyem took that as the cue to use the strongest move in its arsenal: the Z-Ring on Hideo’s wrist lit up, sending the light over to his Beheeyem. Psychic energy built up quickly, before firing straight at the Silvally - with the intent to slam it against a number of psychic surfaces it created.

He could only hope the Shattered Psyche would be enough to take down the Silvally, or weaken it greatly.

Well that was unpog. [break][break]

Bryan's Silvally leapt forward but while it was vulnerable in the air, the psychic energy from the SHATTERED PSYCHE grab onto it's body. "Shit!" Bryan shouts in response as he tries to help his pokemon by moving the vines to grab it, but the Z-MOVE destroys the vines as Silvally slams against the psychic platforms. [break][break]

The final throw of the move throws Silvally through one of the theater walls and destroys it completely, the vines in the hole not growing thanks to the Z-MOVES ENERGIES clashing with one another. [break][break]

Crap there was an exit now for Hideo to escape. Bryan recalls his Silvally since it's now KNOCKED OUT from that attack, he'd have to heal it later. "You've pissed me off now." he growls as Bryan decides he cant afford to hold back "Xerneas. Come out and end his life." he calls out as the pokeball pops and fairy aura lights up the room once more. "Moon blast." as moonlight fills up the room and gathers between Xerneas's antlers and fires a pink ball of light towards hideo's party.
