their passive perception is naturally high (matias', anyways) so it's no surprise that they see the approaching mankey before it can get a chance to sneak attack them.[break][break]

mr. mime's dance pauses for a moment, interrupted as it waves its hands to conjure PSYCHIC. the pinkish energy wrap around mankey, lifting it high up into the air to sto pit from FURY SWIPING anything but the air.[break][break]

from out of nowhere, a HYPER BEAM shoots out at them and it is only due to matias' quick reaction that they're saved from being blasted away. he conjures a wall of earth that tanks it long enough for mr. mime to finally put up a PROTECT.[break][break]

"tch. you're slow."[break][break]

with one hand holding up the invisible barrier, mr. mime looks over its shoulder and flips matias off with its other hand.[break][break]

"?"[break][break]

the moment the attack subsides, mr. mime MIMICS and returns the HYPER BEAM that pummels the klink into a nearby tree.[break][break]

matias approaches after to drop a safari ball on it.

the music draws in a cubchoo, snot swaying from side to side as it also joins in and dances. matias wonders just how sticky its snot actually is to not just slop all over the ground but rather hang in the air.[break][break]

RATTLED for whatever reason, the dunsparce crawls along the ground only to DRAGON RUSH forward. it slams into mr. mime, knocking the psychic-type back right into the boombox. the music stops, and mr. mime frowns.[break][break]

"uh oh."[break][break]

mr. mime hops back up to its feet, dusts its palms off, then runs straight at the dunsparce. it's in no mood to play around, not even for a TEETER DANCE. instead, it MIMICS and slams back into it with a DRAGON RUSH.[break][break]

the dunsparce attempts to crawl away only to get lifted up by a PSYCHIC. it is then saved by a safari ball.[break][break]
