He’s mostly joking. It’s very likely they’ll be far too busy to think about souvenirs. Though, of course, he would not turn down a piece of space rock if it was offered to him.[break][break]

A kommo-o wanders close, loose scales clanging like quiet symbols. Rather than go on the offensive, Honeycrisp hovers closer, flitting around the fellow dragon. Maybe she’s smitten? In any case, it doesn’t seem to mind her, so Fern opts to chance tossing a ball in its direction.[break][break]

in stark contrast to the peaceful encounter fern's flapple has, theo's luxray is met with a MEGA PUNCH that comes from seemingly nowhere. for such a large and clunky pokemon, this golem sure does move fast.[break][break]

feeling GUTSY, luxray returns a CRUNCH only to decide to ROAR it away. the golem, angry as it may, is forced to run right into a well-thrown pokeball.[break][break]

"that feels as though it'd be cursed."

The peace of Honeycrisp’s interaction is destroyed as an archeops nearly crashes into her with its erratic, THRASHING flight pattern. “Woah,” Fern remarks as he steps to the side.

The flapple irritably spits a jet of ACID SPRAY at it before blasting it in Fern’s direction with a beaming DRAGON PULSE.

Fern, of course, is at the ready with a pokeball.[break][break]

“That's a fair point, but…maybe if the curse is house in the shrapnel itself, you can later use it to curse someone else.” Always think on your feet!

The request feels a bit unexpected coming from Theo, but Fern tips him a two-fingered salute. “I’ll do my best, if those are my marching orders.”[break][break]

He can’t help but insert that levity, but of course he’s going to do what he can to get smushed on the Mount by the meteor hurtling their way. “Seems sentimental, coming from you.”[break][break]

There is a temporary distraction in the form of a dedenne, which Fern peers down at with wide eyes, before glancing over at Theo to gauge his reaction.[break][break]

A sad little swirlix shuffled back into the forestry, cold shouldered because of the dedenne’s cuteness.
