Maverick has once again, wasted his money on a special ticket that allowed him early access to the safari zone before everyone else. And unlike last time where there was at least a few pokemon he wouldn’t mind having, this time there was nothing. Why he bought the ticket you may ask? Yep, shiny.

A heavy sigh escaped the burnt scarred man, entering the safari gates only after giving the warden his ticket. His gaze squinted at the horizon, the suns hasn’t quite yet risen over the horizon yet its rays already casted some of the land in light. His mouth gapped open, hand subconsciously rose to over his yawn. Beside him, his massive six foot seven hell hound stretched. Her muzzle too, opened wide in a yawn. It was too early for them to be out, but here they were. Sighing, the ex leader pressed forward. Time to hunt.

The pair made their way through the safari zone slowly and surely. Morning was never Maverick’s favorite, being more of an afternoon type than the morning type. Another yawn took over, only for Azula to sniff out a wild pokemon close by. Her nostrils flared, following the tracks. And soon, she found the target.

The shiny kecleon tilted its head to one side, long tongue licked its mouth blinding at the oversize houndoom. The canine bared her teeth at the creepy thing. It didn’t seem to affect it, only turning its head the other way. Maverick cleared his throat, reaching into his pocket and toss his first sphere at the shiny pokemon. It smacked it in the head, drawling it in and sealing behind it. Azula let out another series of grumbled, nudging the ball with her nose. It wiggled, making her growl and Maverick chuckle.

It wasn’t too shortly after catching the green things that another pokemon appeared out of thin area. This pokemon however, wasn’t so friendly.

The shiny monkey screeched to the heaven when it spotted Azula. It heated its chest hard, flailing its arms about like some kind of crazed trend. It made Maverick take a step back, but the hell hound didn’t seemed to be affected. The canine snarled, baring her teeth at the baby monkey like pokemon. Her intimidating worked, making the pokemon flinch.

Maverick took the opportunity. Reaching into his pocket, he plucked another empty safari ball from the few he had left. With the flick of the wrist, the sphere was launched into the air at the shiny creature. It clocked it beside the head, forcing it open to drawl the pokemon in. Once in, it locked close and fell to the ground with a soft thud. Another bites the dust.

Yet another pokemon cross their path in no time flat. This time, the gear pokemon floated around them while grinding its heads. Azula snarled, the steel shiny moving around more vigorously though still remained by them. Maverick grunted, reaching into his pocket to sent a sphere at it. The creature moved about, unknowingly right into the path of the balls. It sucked the creature in, locking behind it. One more to go.

The next pokemon to pop out from the long grass was one the brunt scarred man didn’t mind too much. It wasn’t hit type, but one that if push came to shove he wouldn’t mind. The shiny cubchoo gave the tiniest rawrs, scratching at the air in an attempt to intimidate them. Azula snorted, trotting to the baby pokemon and staring at it all menacingly.

The wild pokemon went wild eyes, slowly moving away from fleeting for its life. Maverick chuckled, shaking his head as he continued to walk. “You probably just gave it nightmares for the rest of its life.” Azula the hellhound let out a snort, steam rolled out from her nostrils. Good, that was her intention. She trotted off after Maverick, nose still sniffing the air and ground for scents.

It wasn’t that he didn’t like the pokemon per say. It also wasn’t that he didn’t like the color pink. Maverick just didn’t like it. SO when Azula spotted the wild pokemon, the man didn’t bother telling the canine to leave it alone.

Instead, he gave the canine a nod and let her chase it for as long as she wanted. Snarls ripped through her throat, ready to clamp down on the round creature. Maverick chuckled, shaking his head back and forth. As long as she didn’t harm it, everything would be fine.

Several hours after running to the last pokemon, the pair came across another one. By this this, Maverick tired and honestly… He just wanted to go home. He eyed the weird looking pink and yellow pokemon, shrugging his shoulders before tossing a ball at it.

The ball hit, sucking the pokemon in and locking behind it. The sphere fell to the ground with a soft thud, wiggling in the tall grass. A heavy sigh escaped him, really not impressed by this weeks safari selection. His crimson gaze fell upon the ball. He could always trade or gift the shiny dunsparce to someone. If he really wanted too. Either way, the man was ready to go home.
