Hailee's favorite season was fall. Well, lets be honest. She'd probably tell you at least once that every season was her favorite. But now that she was experiencing autumn in it's prime she had to say that it completely stole her heart. At least until winter comes. The beautiful multicolored trees, pumpkin spice, apple cider, and most importantly, it was sweater weather. You know what that means. Turtle necks and comfy boots. Well, that and it being cuddle season, we all what made fall Hailee's current, favorite season. [break][break]

Better yet Hailee was being totally 'responsible' by ditching her student and adulting responsibilities and instead choosing to go hunting for pokémon with her older sister, Fae Madden. This was Hailee's kind of day. She loved the time she got to spend with her sister, even if she got on her last nerves. With work sure to ramp up soon she wanted to make sure she spent as much time with Fae as she could while she was here. [break][break]

Humming as she took a sip of her hot apple cider, she walked with a little extra pep in her step, clearly happy for this outing. "So, what are we looking for?" Hailee asked as she turned her gaze towards her sister and extended her cup out for her to try some of her drink if she wanted to.

"Dragons...right." Hailee nodded as she kept her eyes peeled before taking another sip from her drink. ”I usually hike around this area, it’s nice.” Hailee could hear the smirk on Fae's face without having to look at her. "Bleh. Hiking. Gross." Hailee cringed with a shiver. It was no surprise that this prissy ranger wasn't too into physical exertion. But despite all that she still maintained a healthy exercise schedule. Not to mention she was a ranger too.[break][break]

Hailee always said if it wasn't for her job she'd be living the good life and never have to wish for death while toiling on the StairMaster3000 ever again. Then again, it was thanks to those habits she could keep her figure and use it to her advantage like in the Swimsuit Contest. [break][break]

A bush nearby rustled and quickly drew Hailee's attention. Emerging were a wild Sableye and Trapinch. "Ah what cuties do we have here?" Hailee said with a grin as she reached for Lilli's pokeball on her belt. "I'll take the Trapinch if you don't mind" she said to Fae before tossing the pokeball at it. Lilli appeared with a yawn and a stretch before nodding to Hailee that she was ready to put in some work on the little fella.

”Don’t rangers hike all the time?” Fae teases, still wondering why her sister out of all people would ever choose a profession like that. Personally, she just sees it as getting into dangerous situations for no good reason, and it sure as hell makes her worry for Hailee’s wellbeing.

But of course, that’s something to be discussed another time. Just as it has been discussed before.

While they should be the ones looking for pokémon, the pokémon come to them instead, and while Fae had claimed she wanted to find dragons, the truth is that dark types are the pokémon of which she will always be fondest.

”Weird pair, no?” She tilts her head, looking at the Sableye and Trapinch. ”Sure, I’ve been looking for a Sableye anyway.”

Instead of calling out one of her pokémon, Fae decides to begin to take off one of the studs on her ear, crouching down in front of the Sableye. The pokémon looks at it, curious, for it sees the shimmer of the small black gemstone it bears. Onyx, nothing more. Meaningless to her, yet known to be delicious to a pokémon that feeds on crystals and gemstones.
