Family: Oz comes from a family with new money roots, but deep ones. His great-grandfather started a large energy business and grew it through grit and determination. The business was then passed to his son before being handed over to Oz's father. The latter was a terrible businessman and cut all kinds of corners. This utter abhorrence for workers' rights led to the largest coal collapse in Orre's history. In the wake of that, the old man cut ties completely with Orre and moved his family to Alola. In addition to his father, Oz also has an older sister (who was slated to take over until teaching called to her) and his mother. He also possesses two younger half-siblings and a very estranged fiance. He's currently looking to be Daddy Warbucks to some lost little kid in Hoenn.[break][break]
Pokemon: When it comes to Pokemon, Oz is rather ambivalent. He is not really a trainer, but he's also not cruel or heavy-handed. They live a pampered life, though rarely get much in the way of attention. All of his Pokemon were chosen because he thought they were funny, useful, or cool looking. For the camera, he's willing to smile and shake hands with any Pokemon.[break][break]
HISTORY[break][break]

• Marrying more for business clout than anything, Oz's mother and father were wed. With them, their two companies became sisters. One focused on household goods and the other on coal, energy production, and alternative energy. As expected of them, they produced two children. A girl named Kalani and a younger brother, Ozni (Oz).
  
• The two children were raised in the lap of luxury though not love. Much of their upbringing was handled by nannies and expensive tutors. They were also brought into the family business early.
• After decades of running the company, Adebayo's founder handed it off to his only child. A somewhat blustering man prone to yelling, temper tantrums, and risk-taking. In pursuit of profit, he ended up causing the largest mine collapse in history. With a desire to deal with the drama, and a whole portfolio outside of coal, the old man pulled out of the affected region entirely.
• After graduating high school, Oz set his sights on doing good in the world. He decided to get an engineering and computer science degree from a prominent school and then go out there and make a damned difference. During this period, he met and fell head over heels for a young law student.
• Oz's father was not a good businessman. These scandals followed him throughout his reign. But none of them gave the board and family the power they needed to shove the guy out.
• After completing her teaching degree, Oz's sister revoked her place in the inheritance line. Suddenly, her baby brother was one trip down the stairs from unspeakable power.
• A terrible oil spill off the coast of Alola--where the family lived full-time--put the company in a terrible light. But it seemed Oz's father was going to get out scotch-free again until a mysterious source revealed his knowledge of cut corners. Pictures of his multiple affairs, with men and women alike, came close on the heels of the leaked emails.
• Oz assumed the post of CEO, becoming the youngest head honcho in company history. Immediately, he booted out many of his father's corrupt confidantes and cut off non-profitable departments. Not liking the change she saw in him, his fiance left him and has sued them on more than one occasion.
• Feeding his immense ego and megalomaniac streak (it's a family thing), Oz decided to expand his operations in Hoenn. Instead of coal and home goods, however, they focused on renewables, science, and environmental restoration work.
• After a "fan," sent him a death threat, Oz decided to move to Hoenn and set up shop there.
