[attr="class","rosepost"]It was comparatively rare for Archer to set foot out of Slateport. It happened from time to time. For the most part though, he found that the city suited his needs a good deal better. It was easier to find food there, to say nothing of potential victims when it came to pickpocketing. The great outdoors was a bit too open, and exposed for his liking. There were wild pokemon out there and he was certain that trouble wasn't confined to solely within the borders of the city. There was some peace to be found though, a certain absence and tranquility which was he supposed rather soothing.

It was the quietness that he found difficult to get his head around. He was used to an incessant rumble of cars, people coming and going, shouting as they went about their day to day lives. He found the absence of all that to be somewhat unsettling.

Beggars couldn't be choosers though and when Team Rocket called, Archer would answer. He walked with his hands in his pockets, a thick but dirty sweater to keep him warm. His eyes trailed over the landscape. "It's like looking for a needle in a haystack..." The man grumbled under his breath. He looked down. Dizzy was by his side. The Dusclops however had her attention rooted on the sky above them. Archer rolled his eyes. "It's already fallen Dizz!" The grunt shook his head. Aware that in a few minutes, she would be back at it again. Slowly but surely, frustration was beginning to build.

He would take a few steps towards the other Team Rocket member out here with him. "I'm no scientist." He answered in part her initial statement. "It must be quite small right? I mean, if it was big there'd be a huge crator or something..." It seemed logical to a man who knew absolutely nothing about meteorites and falling stars. They were fire and rock, crashing into the earth, surely there would be some traces to be found.

[attr="class","rosepost"]The man didn't really see the purpose behind this mission. Well, that wasn't quite true. He could understand in a vague sense that there could, potentially, somehow be something worthy of interest and study on the rocks (although just what was indeed something which eluded him). He didn't see just why it had to be the two of them who were sent out. Surely there were some scientists or something similar who knew what they were looking for and where to find it who they could call upon instead. They must have been busy doing something else he guessed.

He turned his head slightly to glance towards the woman as she talked to him. Whilst he shared her exasperation, he certainly hoped that she wasn't about to start complaining about it. That could easily make things insufferable as Archer had little patience for such things. "Same here." Archer responded gruffly. "But we can forget about showing out faces anywhere near HQ if we can't find a friggin' piece of rock." Even if the bosses had nothing to say about their failure, he doubted that the other grunts would let them live it down.

Half way through contemplating whether or not to call out Rook in the hopes that the flying type might have a little more luck spotting the rock from the air, Archer was stopped by the shout from his companion. Finally!

The man would be over in a flash, keen to get this all over and done with. As soon as he was faced with the rock however, a somewhat stupid thought occurred to him. "What now?" He knew that they needed to get the thing back for the bosses but this was something he'd never looked at or dealt with before. "Think we can just grab it?" If somehow it was excessively heavy, they would struggle to move it unless the woman with him happened to have a very robust pokemon. That wasn't what really concerned him though. Faced with the prospect of actually having to touch the thing, he suddenly had images of himself going up in a burst of space spoke.

[attr="class","rosepost"]Archer folded his arms, contemplating the rock from afar, still unwilling to get to close. "If they know so much about em', why do they need this one?" He couldn't help but ask the question, although in truth, he didn't expect much of an answer from her. Although who knew, maybe it was just him who failed to see much of the purpose of their presence here. "How can a rock even die?" Rock pokemon, he could comprehend dying. Their bodies might have been made of rock but inside there was still a living creature, how could a regular space rock be alive?

The idea of having to lift such a weight, especially with a time limit wasn't an appealing one, especially when he didn't have any pokemon suited for such a task. The young man rooted around inside of his bag for a moment. Inside, he still had his five pokeballs which he hadn't even contemplated using yet. "Here." He handed it to Yumi, trusting that the woman would be able to make better use of it than he ever could.

Archer glanced around, taking in the surroundings. With the exception of Dizzy and Kiba, they still seemed to be alone out here. Good. With luck they could be here and gone before anyone noticed...

[attr="class","rosepost"]Archer came close to hopping backwards when he spotted the face in the rock. Next time, he would most definitely pay closer attention to the mission brief, if for no other reason than to spare him the embarrassment or any potential nasty surprises in the future. He considered himself lucky this time, these things he'd been taking for inanimate pieces of rock seemed to be inoffensive enough. Another day, he might not be so fortunate.

"Huh..." He made an effort to sound unimpressed by it all. "I wonder how they survive up there." The man raised his eyes to the starry sky above, losing himself there for a couple of moments. Space was a very alien concept to him, he couldn't quite wrap his head around it more than "it's cold and you'll die if you go up there" and so he didn't waste too much time pondering it.

He would only nod in response to Yumi's suggestion. He pulled out his remaining pokemon and called it out. Rook appeared before him in a flash. The large bird pokemon stretched, before turning to face him. It tilted its head to one side, awaiting further instruction. "Clops!" Nearby, Dizzy waved a hand, waving in greeting towards her travel companion as if she hadn't seen him in years. "I need you to fly up overhead." Archer instructed. "See if you can spot any more of these rocks. Okay?" With a nod, the Corviknight took to the sky, it's dark feather's and armor almost vanishing into the night's sky.

"Dizzy, come on. If they're out here. We'll find em." Obedient for once in her life, Dizzy crossed the small distance separating herself from Archer in a run before slowing to walk next to him as both scanned the area in search of more pokemon.

[attr="class","rosepost"]Archer walked steadily. His hands were in his pockets. He moved along steadily, eyes scanning over the landscape in search of the fabled Miniors. Some part of him wondered just what else he could have been doing with himself right now if it weren't for this mission. Likely he would have just been wandering the streets passing the time. In that respect, he assumed that he should have been grateful for being given some sort of purpose.

It took a few minutes, but eventually from the sky above came a cry. Archer glanced up, spotting the flying type circling above a nearby spot. The young man altered his course, heading towards it. Sure enough, he found a small crater. Cautiously, he got a pokeball out from his pocket. Whilst Archer had never actually used a pokeball, he of course understood the basic principle of them. Given that these creatures were apparently dying, he supposed that he didn't need to worry about weakening them. That would be overkill.

With a deep breath, he readied himself. This should be simple enough, right? He tossed it in the direction of the pokemon which promptly vanished inside. "Think that qualifies as a first?" He couldn't help but question Dizzy. This didn't quite fit his definition of a typical catch. The Dusclops presented with him with a thumbs up and perhaps Hunter felt a bit better for it.

They searched for a while longer before going to meet his human companion once more. "Just the one." He would offer her the pokeball, having no real use for it.
