[break][break] Maybe after your parents discovered the work you dedicated yourself to, that's the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. You forced their hand and they threw you out. But with your connections and money that you acquired through a variety of means, you were pretty set to leave. You could leave the parents who failed you, the sibling who was better than you, and actually make a life that you desired to live. Your friends had connections and those connections held promises. While you didn't care at the ideals held behind Team Rocket, you realize even more that it's not like it affects you personally and that you yourself use pokemon for monetary game just like them. So it was better to ally with them and share a common goal, but you're selfish by nature, so you're willing to dip if things get too heavy.
