She had decided to go hunting in a random route to try and get her hands on some of the new paldea pokemon that had been popping around everywhere as of late. [break][break]

She wanted to see if there were any she could put to good use, it was certainly be useful for catching people off guard against pokemon they wouldn't have normally found in Hoenn. She spotted a young lady in the same route as her, she waved over to her. "Hey! Are you alright over there? Nothing to catch?" she asks wondering if the lady would tell her about how her luck has been faring here so far.

Yeah, Thalia remembered Melody Miro. It’s hard not to-- she’s been a celebrity almost as long as Thalia has been alive. (Not really, but the catty thought does present itself.)

She hums, bottom lip popping out in a pout. “Nah, nothing fun,” she says, as Breakers hurls a shadow ball at a looming Gastly; the ghostly energies collide and explode with a hissing noise that turns the air cold. Thal throws a Pokeball.

“Just the usual suspects.” She tucks her chin, smiling. “What about you? Find anything good?”

She pouts her lips "Booo. Nah, I just got here." she answers but in reality it didn't bother her too much, she loved all pokemon so any catch was a good catch. [break][break]

She was just really awkward ever since she achieved her own free will and didn't know how to really connect with people and make small talk. Was small talk even necessary? It did often put her at ease..why was that? [break][break]

These thoughts became too deep, best saved for when she sought out therapy. She spots a murkrow, looking to play a prank on the young lass while she wasn't paying attention thanks to melody. However Melody's primarina fires off a well timed springtide storm onto the pokemon to boost her own stats. [break][break]

Melody smiles "Nice shot primarina." she compliments as she lobs a pokeball at the fainted bird on the floor. "You looking for anything in specific here? I'm not really either so you can have dibs on what you want." she says as she lobs a pokeball at the murkow to CAPTURE IT

You can take the girl out of Hoenn family politics…

She steps to the side when the woman’s Primarina downs a lurking Murkrow. “Nice shot, indeed,” Thal said, smiling, “you just saved me from a hair’s worth of crow shit.”

Breakers uses hypnosis on a Scrafty that happens to be passing by. The Pokemon pauses, mid-step, and falls over, asleep.

“Nothing specific,” Thalia confirms, zapping it with a Pokeball. “I’ve heard there are Pokemon native to Paldea appearing in Hoenn now. I only recently just got back, though.” She cocks her head. “Is it still the land of perpetual chaos?”

The woman asks Melody if it was still the land of perpetual chaos. "Oh. 100% You wake up for morning coffee and on the walk there a god like entity just arrives and decides that it wants to kill you all of a sudden." she replies with a small tone of annoyance in her voice. [break][break]

Melody spots an azumarill and decides to capture it. But first she had to pick a better dance partner for it. "Meowscarda. Flower trick!" she calls out as the pokemon snaps it's finger and small flowery bombs drop for the air around azumarill, but it seems like the pokemon was immune? "Ah shit, it has sap sipper. Acrobatics!" Without losing a beat the meowscarda leaps into the air, back fliping over and landing on top of the azumarill and kicks it from behind. It bounces against the tree before rubbing it's head. "Oooo..sorry!" she apologizes to it before eventually the azumarill passes out and Melody throws a pokeball at it to ATTEMPT A CAPTURE IT. [break][break]

Melody looks over to the woman again to continue the conversation. "Oh? Where did you go?!" she asked suddenly excited to hear more about the world outside of Hoenn.

Melody’s Meowscarada makes an appearance and makes quick work of an Azumarill. Breakers, on the other hand, reuses the tried and true method of putting a nidorina to sleep using hypnosis.

"I went to university in Paldea,” Thalia said, looking fondly at the Meowscarada, “but I grew up in Hoenn. It is comforting to know that the more things change, the more they stay the same.”
