The Espeon is much smaller and much daintier than the Persian that usually accompanies the banker, but she’s equally as affectionate. When coming out of the Luxury Ball, she rubs against Mars’ leg in greeting, a forked tail curling around it while looking up at him with wide lavender eyes.

There’s a slight smile tugging at Mars’ lips, and even reaches down to pet the feline before stepping forward into the familiar Safari Zone.

The pokémon within had changed once more, and that means it’s time for a few walks through its grounds.

With snow coating the ground, the Sandshrew is hidden at first, appearing as no more than a pile of snow in their way. Delphi knows better, though. She pauses, causing Mars to pause as well, and when she touches the pile of snow with one dainty paw, it shakes.

The banker clicks his tongue, and as SWIFT as can be, the Espeon strikes the other pokémon, following up with a PSYCHIC attack before it can even retaliate or figure out what’s happening.

Mars himself isn’t in as much of a rush, but he reaches for a Safari Ball and chucks it soon enough.

The Staryu is not as easily missed.

It stands out in these icy fields, clinging to a rock as if it were attempting to soak in as much sunlight as possible despite the heavy clouds that obscure the sun. Starmie have always been one of Mars’ favourite pokémon, especially shiny ones, so in many ways, he finds it to be a sad sight.

This time, he doesn’t command his Espeon to attack.
[break][break]
Instead, he steps closer, and Delphi walks right by his side. The Staryu doesn’t seem too bothered at least. In fact, it doesn’t move an inch. Not even when he gives it a couple of pats.

So it is, then.

Into a Safari Ball it goes.

Even with snow coating a large portion of the Safari Zone, a herd of Mareep peacefully grazes nearby, bringing Mars reminders of the one he had encountered at this same spot about a year ago. Back then, he had captured an adorable pink Mareep, which had then been given to luka chêne as a present.

This time, the Mareep of his choice is far more ordinary.

Pink isn’t exactly his colour anyway, and so, the one wool of the one Delphi soon chases after is as white as the snow around them. It’s just going to be another piece of his collection, anyway. It doesn’t need to be shiny.

Delphi, of course, is ever so efficient in dealing with her targets.

As they keep walking down the snow-covered path, no pokémon are to be found, as if they all had suddenly decided to go into hibernation. That may be true for certain species, sure, but if the Safari Zone were to be stocked with pokémon that remain in hiding for the entirety of its guests' visits, it would kind of defeat its purpose.

The pokémon are somewhere, but where?
[break][break]
The answer comes when a nearby pile of snow rumbles and shakes, beginning to lose its form. Alert, Delphi jumps forward, but thankfully what they have awakened is no abominable snowman.

It’s an Eiscue, and quite a friendly one at that; it waddles closer to the feline, as if curious by this pokémon that most definitely does not belong among all this ice.

Delphi does not seem to mind it all that much.
