[attr="class","cmonbody"]Just when Dallas thought he had escaped, an obstacle blocked him from success. Literally. The obstacle in question being a person who collided with him in the tight alleyway as they both fell onto their asses.[break]
A deft hand caught the cigarette that fell from his mouth before Dallas scrambled to his feet. Looking around to see if the thugs were still hot on his tail. No sign of them. Only the woman in front of him who didn’t necessarily look like a thug. Probably not associated with those other guys either.[break]
He offered a helping hand “Shit, sorry. Just uh…in a bit of a hurry there.” He placed the cig back in his mouth. “Although if you’re the type of person to say frick you might have deserved it.” He laughed nervously. Remembering the part of Slateport he was in as he spoke. Most folks didn’t take kindly to jokes and Dallas could only hope she had a sense of humour.[break]
“Anyway, if you happen to see some shady looking guys asking for a suited man mine like myself, just tell em-“ Movement in the distance caught his eye. Another person? No, a Pokémon. A Scraggy, swaggering over to them as if he owned the place. And behind him, a bigger Pokémon. A Krookodile with folded arms and a menacing look in its eye.[break]
Were they seriously about to get jumped by Pokémon in an alleyway?[break]
“Hey, we’re not…looking for uh…trouble?” Dallas gave a shrug. That was what you were supposed to say when you were about to be mugged, right? Did the same apply to Pokémon? The crocodile gave a swift answer to that question as it swiped at Dalla. The blond only managing to dodge by falling back down onto his ass. [break]
“Shit! Hawks!” A Pokeball was thrown from his jacket into the air, a Fletchinder flying out. “Roast em,” Dallas commanded as he got up onto his feet for the second time as the Krookodile was peppered with flames from above by Hawks’ Ember.[break]
Its response? Striking a menacing cross-armed pose and forced laughter. It had used Swagger, and Hawks was pissed. Being baited easily into the implied insult that she was weaker than the ground type. [break]
“Hawks, wait-” In a confused fury she charged blindly. The crocodile easily dodged as the bird smacked into a bin. [break]
“Get a grip! You’re not a Magikarp, so don’t take the bait. Roast him some more, close and personal this time.” Hawks’ body was then engulfed in flames. A Flame Charge being launched at the Krookodile. This time Hawks hit. A fiery wing colliding but the shady crocodile stayed strong. Tanking the hit so it could use Foul Play.[break]
Hawks soon found her momentum being used against her as she was grabbed and swung into a wall. A cackle echoing from Krookodile.
“Acrobatics this time. Go so fast he can’t grab you.” And that she did. A glowing blue trail following her as she sped around the enclosed space. Up in the air, down on the ground. Before it could get a read on Hawks next move, the Krookodile was tackled in the back by the fast-moving bird. And to follow it up, a red ball landed on its head before being sucked into it.[break]
Would the troublemaker make a good addition to the team?

Bailey Cooper – 556 - Hawks used Ember. Krookodile used Fould Play. Hawks is confused. Hawks hurt itself in its confusion. Hawks used Flame Charge. Krookodile used Foul Play. Hawks used Acrobatics. Attempt to capture.

[attr="class","cmonbody"]Luckily Dallas didn’t need to fight for the two of them. His fellow muggee making short work of the Scraggy that opposed her. He shifted down the small space to retrieve the Pokeball. Yet another Ground type. At this rate, he was becoming like a Gym Leader with so many of one type.

“Some…guys. I couldn’t even tell you their names. I just know in this side of Slateport City I don’t fancy my chances if they decide they wanna jump me. Don’t know who else is around the corner.”

A noise around the corner catches his attention. Could it be the men he mentioned? Tentatively, Dalla peered around the corner. The good thing was, it wasn’t the guys that chased him. The bad thing was Dallas had instead found a Seviper cornering its prey. A small Pancham.

These shady streets were wild. The Pokemon here were not much different than the people. The snake seemed to share a similar short fuse, as it snapped its head towards Dallas with a furious glare. With no time to even take a step back, the Seviper began to ready itself to strike. Hawks was still outsider her Pokeball and it seemed like today was her lucky day of back to back battles.

Fangs dripped with purple poison, aimed for Dallas or Hawks. Whichever got in its way first. Its attack was interrupted, however, with a flaming winged body to the face.

Hawks took to the air, gaining the high ground before flying back down to strike. “Finish it with Steel Wing.” On cue, the shining wing of the Fletchinder struck the Seviper. Knocking it out near some rubbish and grime.

“I think everything has it out for me today.”

It took her four months to process what he had just said.[break][break]

“Well, that sucks. Sorry, suit dude,” and Bailey Cooper shrugged while fetching a pokeball from her pocket–an empty capsule that flared to life as she tapped the center, letting it expand and prepare itself for capturing. The Officer seemed distracted, because her eyes had glanced away from the ongoing conflict with the Seviper to focus on something else.[break][break]

The Pancham. It was cute as fuck. “You're mine,” and the Officer dive-bombed the small, bear-like pokemon after it was released from the Seviper's grasp. It eagerly clutched to her jacket, happy to be free from the clutches of the poison-type. Just from the weak way it clutched onto her, she could tell it had been weakened.[break][break]

So, she tapped its head with her pokeball–time to head to a Pokemon Center, right?[break][break]

“If someone is trying to kick your ass, you better get moving. I'm out,” and she gave a two-finger salute before she bailed, running down the alley and going back from whence she came.[break][break]
