while others have spread out, he decided to stay and hack away at the panels that constituted the walls of the room they were in. it's enough to expose wiring that runs behind them, and for him to have an idea of how they were fixed.

he spends time trying to figure out how similar the engineering of alien technology is to their own, and with enough inferences, he just gets enough of an idea about them before he hears Cade Atreides

She finds the direction she was headed towards was nothing but a dead end. The outcome was disappointing as she had hoped to discover something useful, the poor lighting concealing her dismayed smile. Her mood doesn't stay sour for long as Cade was quick to announce what he had discovered - something far more useful.

"Amazing find Cade!" She speaks with a smile looking towards the others before agreeing that they should all head down towards basement level 2. Soon enough they come across a stair case leading downwards and an elevator, Sunny turns to the group to ask how they should proceed.

"Soo... stairs or elevator?"

She cared about their input - it's never wise to act entirely on your own. She learned a valuable lesson from her grandma many years ago, that the best way to live life was to value the input of others never make decisions by yourself.

watching ellie disappear off into the dark, her heart clutches just a little bit. no, it was all going to be fine.

[break][break] she's glad for a distraction in the form of Cade Atreides. "oh, that's a good idea." with a nod, she heads down with the rest of the group towards the destination.

[break][break] the idea of getting stuck in one of those elevators... it brought back a memory that she didn't want resurfacing. fighting back a shudder, callie heads down the staircase. while it was longer than expected, sure enough, they reach the end.

[break][break] however, when a loud groan echoes from the interior, she squeaks with surprise and accidentally backs into Cade Atreides.

"Chin up, amigo," The one-eyed blonde responds to wolfgang volkov with a smile. "The best rewards come with big risks, don't they?" Though, on some level, the mechanic was right. They were probably trapped in here if they couldn't find some other means of exiting this building and world safely.

Alas, when asked whether to take the elevator or the stairs, Cade Atreides is in agreement with CALLISTA MOON and nods towards the latter. "I'd sooner trust that elevator to become our tomb than take us down safely." He remarks, leading the way onward with his Sableye clinging to his shoulder still. Once they reach the bottom of said stairs, a strange noise prompts him to grab his flashlight.

Thin blue lighting appears in the dark just ahead of them as CALLISTA MOON accidentally backs into Cade. Instinctively, the Paldean grabs her hand and positions himself in front of her before shining his flashlight on the source. His beam of light reveals a ghastly, half-built STAKATAKA emerging from a pile of scrap like a zombified mechanical behemoth.

The light surrounding its body surges as it prepares an attack. At that same moment, he whistles at his Sableye and prompts it to MEGA EVOLVE before frantically shining his flashlight around the room. It finds another set of stairs nearby just as the light from his MEGA SABLEYE's gem illuminates the room. "There! That's our escape route! Vamonos!"

As his companion lifts its large gem to PROTECT them from the FLASH CANNON that is fired at them, Cade Atreides urges his team to escape and leave the basement behind.

his rotom travels through the ceiling, hopping from one lighting to another and powering up whichever segment of the room they were in.

their means of travel leads to a fruitful escape as they eventually reach the end, only for it to be guarded by one of the creatures that held them up in the first place. on the bright side, it didn't seem like the rest of the ones that chased them.

still scary nonetheless, though.

"fuck it! substitute."

as the initial attack clashes against the mega sableye's protection, the rotom produces humanoid copies of the party. it remains on their previous position, keeping the stakataka's attention focused on it.

these were the new intruders that it should be blasting, not them.

The group had reasonable suspicion as to not trust the elevator. Given the circumstances perhaps it was a stupid question to ask in the first place. Sticking close to the group as she had a fear of the unknown growing inside her once again the loud sound that alarmed Callie also worried her.

Bumping into the wall behind her by natural instinct her eyes widen with shock at the strange pokemon as it crept towards them in a sinister manner. Luckily for the group Cade Atreides was able to clutch up and get them out of that pinch when his sableeye underwent a mega evolution. She doesnt hesitate to run for the hills.

Quickly fleeing using the staircase Cade pointed out, Sunny found that there was a portal waiting for them at the end. She quickly assumed that it was a portal to get out of this dimension, which she quickly communicated to the others.

"I think we can get out using this portal!" With that said, Sunny takes a leap of faith and jumps in hoping she would return back to Hoenn.

And if she dies - the other's would surely find a different way.

behind the sturdy back of Cade Atreides, callie stares wide-eyed at the monster that appears in front of them. her heart stutters with something akin to fear.

[break][break] as her teammates all find ways to defend itself against the ghastly, half-built STAKATAKA, the lieutenant shakes her way back to her senses. "skoll!" a sharp whistle, and her lycanroc jumps to her defenses. as wolfgang volkov uses his rotom to create a distraction, her canine's ACCELEROCK cuts the beast away from them, a fissure cracking along the ground as an earth wall is resurrected between them.
