It has been awhile since he has seen his son. The young man having left before the dome had come up, from what last he heard was to visit his mother. Whether or not that last bit was true he couldn't be sure without actually talking to the boy. Either way there was one thing for sure, he left without permission. [break][break]

So when he heard he was finally back he made sure to send a message to the young man that he wanted to see him within the training room of the ship, claiming that he wanted to test some new subjects. Something that wasn't entirely untrue now with the Terra Shards having been made.

The summons was unexpected. Asriel had been purposefully avoiding detection, wanting to keep his return a secret from his father for awhile. However he was ever so foolish to think he could ever hide something from the man.

Walking towards the training facilities Asriel kept his presence minimal, his footsteps barely audible. Which was expected for a man who lived in the shadows.

Slipping through the doorway, a silent gaze rested on his father for a very brief moment before falling towards the cold floor. Asriel then shifts to a kneeling position "Father.. I hope you've been well."

"Indeed, with the help of Lulu Flint she and I were able to make a new toy for Rocket," he informs his son nonchalantly as he takes out a PokeBall and throws it at him. Inside it would be the Riolu Gamma 1 as part of his one of many experimental Riolu. [Break][break]

"Something you'd know had you been around," he continues sounding more disappointed than angry, "But you'll be fixing that today with me, send out the Pokemon I gave you"

His father's disappointment was clear as day. Not that it meant anything to Asriel - after so many years he never achieved having his father smile at him. It causes him to remember about his youth, the extreme lengths they went through to get their parents approval. Their aspirations were a stupid and childish hope.

A bitter taste lingers in Asriel's mouth, the memories bringing up a person who couldn't be forgotten no matter how hard he tried. Asriel shifrs focus releasing the pokemon from it's confinement. Once it's released he's surprised to see a shadow pokemon, a riolou no less.

The corrupted pokemon completely outclasses his own, Asriel figured it'd take a lot of time and effort to try and get it under control.
"incredible.. so this is a shadow pokemon." Asriel muses aloud

this had been his first time actually seeing one for himself.

Give his son a taste of power, as a small reminder as everything Rocket has given the young man. Though as he knows just how much power the little Riolu has Pryde also intents to give the reminder on just how easily it can be taken away. Despite the increased strength of the shadow pokemon, it was a fledgling at best, and it's shadow powers didn't compare to the ones originally modified. Do he had full confidence for his new pokemon as he tosses it out himself. [break][break]

A Ceruledge as he's come to learn from his research of the newer pokemon that have found themselves in Hoenn. "Lets see how much of your mother has rubbed off on you," he mentions as he knows most of the boy's skills come from her teachings. Pryde gives a whistle before the fire blade pokemon used PSYCHO CUT. Aiming in a straight line between pokemon and trainer as both would need to evade if they wanted to avoid the psychic blades. [break][break]

Whether or not its intentional is up in the air.

Asriel was accustomed to the snarky comments, he knew better than to respond. For his father, actions would always be louder than words. The atmosphere shifts immediately when the Ceruledge is summoned, while this unknown pokemon was new to Asriel he wouldn't have time to fawn over it as it attacks him and the shadow riolu without warning.

Due to trained reflexes Asriel manages to evade the purple crescent-like blades relatively easily by leaping back and out of it's range. The riolu isn't as lucky as the pyscho cut connects and the impact from psychic energy was powerful enough to send the shadow pokemon flying into the wall of the training room.

Riolu is swift to recover from the brutal attack. It's shadowy aura appearing to grow more sinister as it stares down both pryde and the ceruledge with an eerie expression. "Now, attack with icepunch." what should of been a simple attack ended with the riolu disobeying completely.

Instead of a chilling punch the riolu decides to charge at the ceruledge punching it with powered up fists from bullet punch. It's sinister expression growing with each punch thrown.

It was clear that it would be a long tedious journey for these two to work together. One that Asriel would embark on without any complains, for the glory of rocket.
