Raziel had that same expression plastered over his face again, the exact same one.

Asriel was never able to forget Raziel's gloomy features whenever their father scolded him for screwing up the projects. Scoffing softly when Raziel rubbed his arm to comfort himself, his twin's behavior reminded him of their turbulent childhood. Only this time, he looked even more pathetic.

Asriel's fist clenches tightly "weakling." he whispers indiscreetly not caring if Raziel heard him or not. For Asriel this situation was simply unbelievable, leaving him to wonder how memory loss could change someone so drastically.

"Good. Me neither." he sighs deeply trying to calm himself but it doesn't work. Looking ahead Asriel clicks his tongue in annoyance. "why the hell do you move so fucking slow?! GO!" Asriel shoves Raziel forward trying to urge him to get moving quicker.

Asriel rolls his shoulders and casts a dismissive glance at Victoria's taunt. He wasn’t one to fight without purpose; his mentors, THEO BECKETT and @cillian, alongside jayden cross taught him better than to engage in meaningless conflicts, especially against those who were weaker than himself.

Observing Tori closely while she made herself comfortable on Jayden's bed. scoffing at her audacity, and deeming her behavior and remarks to be absurd. Sighing dramatically, Asriel flops into his own bed, positioned right next to Jaydens. His eyes wandered to the plain ceiling, a deliberate attempt to shut out the girl besides him. Letting out another annoyed sigh as Tori continued to pester him with questions he deemed utterly stupid, before finally responding to her.

"Yeah? Well I want you to shut the hell up so I can get some fucking sleep." Keeping his eyes trained on the ceiling, he reached blindly for a pillow besides him, finally managing to snag it after a brief but determined struggle. He then lazily tossed it toward Tori, secretly hoping it would land squarely in her face.

“I know exactly what I want from Jayden: to be his friend. But let’s be real—you’re the one who’s totally lost when it comes to what you actually want. So quit wasting your time asking for answers from people you hardly even know.” Rolling onto his side, he turned his back to her and buried his face into the pillow, trying to get some sleep.

In an instant, Jayden’s demeanor shifted, sharp and unforgiving, like ice splintering under pressure. The warm, reassuring eyes Asriel once knew were gone, snuffed out like a dying flame. In their place was a cold, distant glare, hollow and unrecognizable. As if the person standing before him was no longer Jayden, but someone wearing his face.

It was painful for Asriel to see him like this, a mere shadow of his former self, and an overwhelming guilt settled deep within him. He couldn’t shake the feeling that his newfound avatar powers were somehow to blame. He hadn’t been there when everything had spiraled against Jayden - when the very people who once stood by him had turned to seek his harm.

unsure how to respond, he blurted out his feelings, voice trembling with raw emotion. “Because you've changed Jay.” His face tightens with a swirl of emotions. "and.. I don't know how to help you anymore."

Asriel’s eye narrowed at Raz’s words, a flicker of something unreadable passing over his expression. He lets out an exasperated sigh, the sound thick with frustration, as the reality of the memory loss settled in like a cold shadow. "Shut the Fuc-" Asriel halts mid-sentence, taken aback by the intensity of his own anger.

Having always been adept at controlling his emotions, dutifully following orders without hesitation. But this? This was a stark deviation from the norm, a chaotic storm brewing beneath his carefully crafted mask he wore.

Jayden had always been his anchor, a steadying force that brought clarity even in the darkest moments. As he breathes deeply, Asriel focuses on that memory, hoping to evoke the soothing calm that had helped him navigate the storm of his emotions, a stark contrast to the lingering stain of his brother, who had inflicted both deep scars and haunting memories.

It's been months since he last visited hoenn. with the war intensifying it became evident why headquarters had deployed kanto troops to the region. It was a race to seize control over the region, hoenn will meet the same fate as kanto. The familiar surroundings stirred up memories he'd rather forget. A sense of dread settled over Asriel, war was an unpredictable tempest which swirled with chaos and uncertainty. Hoenn has burned him too many times, there was no telling what would be lost in the upcoming battles.

Setting his worries aside, he prepared himself for the current task. Having received word that someone wished to add more pokemon to their team he was ordered to accompany him. Asriel arrived ahead of him, he slipped into the shadows of the thick foliage by the crystal caverns waiting in silence.

When he saw who was approaching he could hardly believe his eyes. Emerging from the shadows Asriel crept up behind him, each step silent. "You're late." His tone sharp with irritation, his expression a blend of anger and hatred was elusive and difficult to read. Having heard of Raziel's memory loss, Asriel played along acting cold as usual.

He was entrusted with a simple task. To poach as many chansey's without calling attention to the operation. Asriel believed he had managed to infiltrate a sanctuary, without anyone noticing. He couldn't have been more wrong, as Elinor Anderson had answered the call to a potential poaching operation.

He had noticed the presence of Elinor's salamence circling above them. Asriel clicks his tongue in annoyance at how fast the leagues response was. In haste he kicks the happiny's cage into some nearby bushes while finding some cover for himself in order to avoid detection.

Asriel scratched his head, briefly closing his eyes as he tried to come up with alternative strategies. He sighs, opening his eyes and throwing up his arms in defeat. "Nope. none." He grumbles in annoyance, he continues towards the laboratory not bothering to wait for Frank Caffey, he swiftly enters the institution as the sliding doors open.

Upon entrance Asriel quickly confronts one of the research assistants. "Hey you! have any of the bosses spoken to you recently? " The assistant clearly startled, shakes his head. "we've received no request from any of the bosses as of late. why do you ask? " without bothering to waste time, Asriel quickly informs the assistant of their peculiar situation. To his surprise, the assistant shares that how they also have been concerned for Dr.Sato, who according to them has scarcely been around.

It didn't take long for Frank to catch up; Asriel informed him of the development soon as he entered. "Clearly, something's not right." He briefly pulls out his phone to check if Jayden had messaged him back but there was nothing. "I'm going to look around sootpolis. I think it's unlikely that the bosses are on the ship." without wasting another second Asriel bids Frank farewell, exiting the facility.

"..fine." Asriel was expecting a more thought-out approach as to how they would conduct the search. searching the submarine sounded exhausting; and a waste of time. "my names Asriel. Asriel Pryde." the introduction is casual; and the name Frank Caffey meant nothing to him.

Asriel's extends his arm outwards, his index finger pointing towards the general direction of the laboratory. "We should search the labs next." He did not know much about the current head scientist Naomi Sato, but when his father was head scientist; he would seldom find a reason to depart from the sub. Only doing so when there was a ground breaking discovery, and to Asriel's knowledge there was nothing revolutionary lately.

Asriel has always felt more of a connection to jayden cross then he ever has with Raziel. He found it easier to talk with Jayden and truly viewed him as an older brother. while he did cherish his twin, there was no denying that Raziel at times was infuriating, he couldn't stand how much of a baby he was at times.

a sudden visitor barged into Jayden's room. A young girl who looked to be around the same age he was. Given the lack of reaction from Jayden, Asriel assumed that the two were friends of some sort. He didn't care to acknowledge her outside of looking her way when she first erupted into the room without bothering to knock. Asriel focused on sharpening and polishing his throwing daggers, completely ignoring her comment.

When jayden cross left the vicinity, Asriel attempted to follow in his footsteps. He only pauses when the unknown visitor stated another snarky comment, this time he didn't let it go unanswered. "I do not know the type of relationship you have with jayden, nor do I care much but.." he turns around locking eyes with her, a glint of anger shining in his. "be careful with your words. " he warns her subtly before answering her other comment. "I don't want anything from him." he states without providing any more detail, his tone gradually becoming more irritated. "I'm just at ease around him, he's my friend."

It was a curse.

Asriel immediately recognized the change of behavior in jayden cross. The full effects of Chien-pao's abilities was unknown to Asriel, but it became clear that his best-friend was entombed in a vicious cycle of hatred. Leaving only a few fleeting moments for Jayden to be his true self.

"...Just now" Asriel responds to Jayden's question after a momentary pause, abruptly clearing his throat afterwards. He maintains the act of normalcy, overall relieved to see Jayden acting like himself again after the sudden outburst. It proved that he was not lost to the ice.

Once again Asriel clears his throat, his shadowy features failing to reveal his emotions of embarrassment. Stepping slightly back from Jayden Asriel he takes a slow inhale, carefully considering his response: "I.. I don't want to lose you Jayden. But that day I felt that I almost did, and I don't want to risk that happening again." He sighs again his hand at his side rolling into a tight fist. "I relied on you too much, but I want you to be able to rely on me too. I want to stand tall with you." Fully aware how he failed Jayden, Asriel knew his failures would repeat if he didn't change. Losing his twin brother didn't significantly impact him the way he thought it would have. However, he couldn't imagine what his life would be without jayden cross.

Asriel's hand rested on chin as he silently contemplated the situation. He didn't like to admit it; but Frank was right to be concerned. Asriel shakes his head dismissively to Frank's hope on another person knowing something, "unlikely I've been in this corridor for awhile and it's been dead silent."

Asriel follows Frank's suggestion by pulling out his flip phone, a few clicks was all it took to call jayden. he holds the phone up to his ear; listening intently as the line continued to ring. The hopes of Jayden picking up the call to confirm his location was met with silence, instead the call was redirected to an automatic voice-message system.

"Jayden, call me---" abruptly interrupted with an automated voice-message which stated that the individual's inbox was full; the call swiftly disconnects. Asriel blinks with confusion in response to the message, it was already surprising that he didn't answer but even more suspicious as to why he wouldn't clear out his inbox or have a full one.

Asriel clicks his tongue in annoyance, shoving his phone back into his pocket. "No answer, couldn't even leave a message." He communicates with Frank Caffey while crossing his arms, the uncertainty in his mind grows and spreads, and Adriel was completely clueless as to what the next steps would be. Redirecting his attention back to the older grunt, Asriel gives him an expectant look; waiting for his next order.

Nina described Ballonea with vivid imagery. It made him believe that she had gone and visited it firsthand, but that wasn't the case. "That's surprising, you strike me as the type of person who travels around quite a bit." he responds to her follow up question with a nonchalant shrug; personally having no such desire to explore other regions outside of hoenn.

Asriel keeps an eye out for potential danger as they continue to venture deeper into the abyss. Looking over at Nina with a puzzled expression when she mentioned a voice out of the blue.

"A voice..?" Asriel repeats his tone heavy with skepticism, "I don't know what you're talking about it's been dead silent." he takes a moment to truly try and listen to hear their surroundings, "yeah no voice." He confirms to her with certainty.

"Beautiful..?" he repeats after Nina, taking a closer look around their surroundings. observing the bioluminescent plants as the lit up the pulsating walls, he did in a sense find the flickering lights to be beautiful; they reminded him of the stars he saw back in Sootpolis. "It's more unsettling if you ask me." Asriel dismisses Nina's description by shaking his head, beauty is fleeting.

guided by the glowing plants, Asriel begins to walk down on of the tunnels. The pulsating was noticeably quicker and stronger compared to the entrance. Initally he was skeptical about Ultra Deep Sea being the belly of eternatus, but without the theory it was difficult to explain the current phenomenon they were witnessing.

He looked back towards Nina when mentioned ballonea. "Ballonea.. where is that exactly?" Outside Kanto and Hoenn, Asriel did not have a good sense of the world. "never been outside of hoenn" he keeps his kanto background private, finding no reason to share that information with Nina.
