Asriel's expression remained cold. Indifferent to Frank's nerves, having already been in a sour mood. Frank's persistence was not helping in the slightest - why should he care about some random grunt's problems?

Momentarily his gaze flickers between being indifferent and anger. "I'm here to see Jay-" He swiftly corrects himself before finishing his statement. "Admin Cross, but that's none of your concern." Asriel briefly looks past Frank, fixating on a closed door a few feet away. Odd - Jayden was usually on the sub during this hour, where could he be?

Thinking back to Frank's concerns, Asriel scowls. He didn't like to think of himself as an average rocket grunt, he came from kanto. He knew many of the current bosses, he's different - special. However given his recent failures, it was obvious he was just a grunt; replaceable and not worth remembering.

"Where have you looked so far?" He asks suddenly, gaze still fixated on the closed door of jayden cross's office. His mind had been swayed and concern slowly begins to creep in.

Having just finished up a few training drills, Asriel was on his way to the north wing to speak with jayden cross. Their friendship recently became turbulent, due to his failure in Area Zero. Where Asriel's shortcomings were made painfully obvious in the recent battle; he was weak, but being a nuisance towards Jayden is what truly upset him.

Their last conversation weighed heavily on him, but Asriel knew that in order to remain at jayden cross's side he would need to become stronger. Distracted by his own thoughts, he had passed by numerous silent and empty offices in the North Wing without ever realizing how lifeless the sub has been recently.

That was until Frank Caffey had brought it to his attention. He tilts his head being slightly skeptical "I won't deny it's quieter than usual, but I don't see it as a cause for concern." softly huffing with minor annoyance he shrugs his shoulders "you must be overthinking things. They are probably just busy with war prep." Asriel figured it was the most logical explanation given the silent atmosphere.

He deserved this.

Soon as Jayden barged into his room, Asriel looked as though he wanted to say something - but he remained silent.

With each step he took forward Asriel took a step backward, knowing he had no place in talking back. Instead of looking away from Jayden's icy blue gaze; Asriel kept eye contact. Sadness grips at his heart, as he realized how much hatred and anger was now locked away in a gaze that was previously filled with devotion and passion to those he cherished.

Hands clench into fists with the mention of failure; his failure. Asriel's lip quivers in frustration at the lack of his own strength; he finally had to come terms with his weakness. But what truly caused him anguish was to know he had failed Jayden, his best friend.

"I'll get stronger." Looking directly at Jayden, concern fills his gaze seeing how injured he was but Asriel knew better than to mention it.

There was little luxray could do to protect Magmortar from Aegislash's relentless speed. It's tail lashes out instinctively sending cracks of lightning through the air. Witnessing the brutal attack against it's ally caused the luxray to growl harshly, preparing to take down the Aegislash in case the magmortar was unable to do so.

But there was no need

A grin creeps on to Asriel's face as he watches the horror unfold, massive boulders barreling down towards the league; he was confident that the Hyperbeam finished them off. The luxray would conjure a protective barrier once again to protect Cade from stray boulders.

However the grin quickly fades upon noticing that Gwyar and Yuina miraculously emerge from the rock-slide unharmed and unphased. He huffs clicking open his pokeball to summon a kirlia. "Teleport" the psychic type clasped it's hands in the form of a prayer and within a blink they teleported to Cade's side. Finishing it's task the Kirlia took a swift bow before vanishing back into Asriel's pokeball.

"Looks like this won't be so simple." He remarks to Cade in a tone of annoyance before redirecting his attention back to the league. Asriel scoffs harshly at Yunia's response "Trust me you have bigger things to worry about." Asriel's expression darkens with the warning with a single whistle the Luxray charges towards the group intending to strike everything in it's path with a Wild Charge but it's unable to fight against the powerful hurricane, eventually unable to hold onto ground the luxray yowls into the air as it's sent flying into the air before crashing back onto the ground unconscious.

The defeat of his luxray doesn't phase him instead he simply summons out his next pokemon, a nidoqueen. The pokemon roars out with a Superpower soon as it emerges preparing for the fierce battle.

A direct engagement was a questionable approach but Asriel saw no reason to argue with Cade. Instead he followed Cade's lead, watching from the shadows as the confrontation unfolded. He accessed that Yunia would be an easier target given her youthful appearance Asriel assumed that she was inexperienced.

Before the scorching sands makes contact with magmortar, a luxray leaps down from a nearby tree. The feline conjures a protective barrier which deflects the Charizard's attack. With a menacing snarl it's gaze is locked onto the Charizard carefully analyzing it's every movement.

Asriel decides to remain hidden within the shadows, knowing full well that Cade was the type to bask in the glory. He had no qualms in supporting the narcissist behind the scenes.

Asriel had no interest in coming to Area Zero. There was nothing here for him, but the secrets of the abyss and teracystal's power were of great interest to rocket scientists. If his father Raphael Pryde were still in hoenn he surely would be fascinated with the never ending possibilities.

He had been tasked with keeping the League out of certain areas which is tiresome work... Most rookies would retreat given the opportunity and those that challenged him were far from entertaining. He remained hidden within dense vegetation waiting for something to happen.

Eris manages to dodge his lunge but a smirk sneaks onto his sinister expression; noticing her injured and bloodied arm. He underestimated her, those swift reflections were an indicator that she was well versed in combat. Asriel quickly pursues her and immediately regrets his hasty decision.

A mysterious power sends Asriel flying back crashing into a nearby crystal. Upon the harsh impact he coughs up blood and his vision blurs, "impudent rat..." Asriel curses under his breath groaning as he spits up more blood. After a struggle he manages gain some strength back. He then notices the mespririt hovering next to Eris, his eyebrows furrowed at the sight of the pokemon. Turned out that she had more than one troublesome pest.

Asriel knew it'd be pointless in attacking Eris again, especially when Mespirit watches over her. He would need to formulate a better plan if she is to be eliminated. His priority however shifted away from Eris and towards Jayden due to the interference of a third party. Asriel's expression darkens as he notices the swarm of unowns beginning to swarm Jayden.

DRK TRIAD.
[break][break]

This was his first encounter with the organization, but he knew that they were not allies. Recognizing that their target would most likely be Jayden due to his avatar status Asriel knew he would have to act fast. Whistling sharply into the air he calls for his luxray but the feline is unable to heed the command, as it was defeated by the Zerora's relentless attacks.

Growling with frustration Asriel moves as fast as he can towards Jayden. Once he was close enough he tosses up his pokeball which summoned a nidoqueen, luckily he arrived just in the nick of time as his nidoqueen countering the unowns hidden power attack with a flamethrower.

"Jayden. It's pointless fighting them." the DRK Triad played dirty tricks battling them without a plan would be risky. Their vision became hindered due to Raziel Beckett's interference but Asriel also saw it as a good opportunity to leave before the DRK Triad's next move.

'fucking brat' Asriel's irritation grows with Eris's arrogant attitude and his twin's worthless words. He figured that Raziel would grow some balls after his betrayal, but as always he cried about how unfair life was.

A fast approaching dragon-pulse causes Asriel off-guard luckily for him the earth-quake worked in his favor. The bending of the earth caused him to go tumbling, narrowly missing the dragon-pulse but still in danger of shimmering crystals falling from the caverns roof. Swiftly recovering from his tumble, Asriel sees an opportunity to attack Eris noticing her slipping and losing her balance in some form of waste..

He takes advantage of the earthquake using it as a cover to advance towards her, meanwhile the luxray defends itself against the zerora's Plasma Fists with a b]protect

[/b], snarling fiercely it begins to dash towards the other electric feline with incredible speed intending to tackle it with a wild charge

Given the right moment Asriel tosses a throwing dagger towards Eris, given the chance she manages to evade the dagger Asriel would rush in right after it, tossing her to the ground and pinning her with immense strength.

The impact of wild charge leaves the luxray stunned, sustaining self-inflicted injuries from it's own charge. It's powerless and vulnerable to the sudden volt-switch by Eris's Zeraora. Unable to react in time, the Luxray roars with pain as it is relentlessly attacked by lighting fast punches. Taking notice of the situation, Asriel acts to take control of the battle, whistling three times the luxray retaliates against the flurry of punches by sinking it's fangs into the feline's tail. The powerful bite gives luxray enough time to escape from the close combat and it retreats just out of the Zeraora's range, it snarls with anticipation watching the Zeraora intensely waiting for the next command.

Asriel looked rather uninterested in battling Eris, he was accustomed to fighting children but his mind was occupied with other more important battles. He observes the battle from a distance Asriel was fully confident in Jayden's ability to kill Raziel but he knew better than to underestimate him. Besides he would just get in the way of Jayden if he tried to help, he was an avatar now and had plenty of tricks to use, it would be best to provide him with outside support.

Raziel's remark caused Asriel to scoff in disbelief.

"replacement?" Asriel repeats with a wicked smirk, "you're a disgrace, we NEVER replace scum like you." Raziel's disdain is obvious, and Asriel is pleased with how bothered his twin was with the idea of being 'replaced'. It was also amusing how Raziel was clueless on who he was fighting, he looked forward to seeing how his twin would react upon realizing who this mysterious 'ice avatar' truly was.

The warning to Eris caused Asriel to redirect his focus towards her. He glares at her with cold and blood hungry eyes, I'll warn you now. Stay out of my way or you'll be sorry."

Betrayal is a common occurrence in their way of life. All traitors meet the same horrific demise, there was no exception to this rule. Despite knowing this Asriel struggled with carrying out Raziel's punishment, he had countless opportunities and each of them ended infailure.

Out of everyone he knew, Asriel least expected his own twin brother to betray him.

The outcome left him with a hole in his heart for years bitter and cold. Which is why Jayden's words were so comforting, to hear him say that they were like brothers, it filled up the hole that was inflicted by Raziel. He chuckles softly to Jayden's comment a rare smile briefly appearing on his lips.

The situation intensified with Jayden spotting out Razz and Eris, two traitors. Unable to keep up with Jayden's speed, Asriel clicks open his pokeball summoning his luxray. Within a moment a giant wave came barreling towards them, the electric feline acts swiftly creating an invisible barrier which defected the move and protected them from the wave. Following a high-pitched whistle from Asriel, the luxray begins to absorb electricity from the same electric terrain that Reiner laid out. The luxray then begins to charge towards Eris at a high rate of speed with a wild charge.

Being in caves left a bitter taste in Asriel's mouth. The dreary environment was a reminder of his humiliating defeat back at Ultra Deep Sea, where he was defeated by Razz Kingsman. The thought of that filth caused him to audibly shudder in revulsion and his expression shifted into a dark scowl. Asriel knew it was fate for them to clash again this time Razz wouldn't be so lucky.

Having been out of action for quite some time, he felt lucky to be by jayden cross's side. His childhood friend accomplished many remarkable feats as of late and truthfully Asriel was not surprised, having always known Jayden's capabilities for a long time. Having made decent progress into Aero Zero Asriel kneeled onto the cavern ground and pulled out a detailed map of the caverns.

His eyes study the map intensely, a finger tracing where they've been and stopping at their anticipated destination. "Shouldn't be to much further now." Asriel states as he marks off various locations on the map.

The worker's plea fell upon deaf ears, and the panicked man quickly fled to safety, realizing it was meaningless to try and stop them. His eyes narrow when a high-pitched shriek fills the air and he quickly looks to Jayden when given the order to retreat. Asriel nods quickly recalling his beedrill into it's pokeball and retreats towards safety.
