Amor looked curiously at the man, and nodded, admiring all of his avians as they flew away. Bird Pokemon were to him, like Dragons were to Amor. It was an interesting thing to note, but he just smiled a bit.

"I apologize for interrupting your feeding, but yes, just a one on one. I am curious to see how much I have improved since the last time, if it's all the same to you." He stated simply as he held the Pokeball that contained his most trusted partner in it. Though the battle hadn't officially started yet, so he refrained from throwing it, and instead waited to be told that the battle was starting.

You didn't just walk into another mans home, and just start unleashing Pokemon everywhere. Amor had manners at the very least.

Oh a Salamence? Now that was an interesting choice of Pokemon, but it only made him smile as he tossed out his own Pokeball to unleash a Dragonite. It was much larger than normal ones, and it was obviously well taken care of, upon hearing that he got the first move he just smiled.

"Well then I appreciate that! Draco, go!" He roared the command, and the bond with his most trusted partner was such that he didn't need to give him explicit commands. They both understood their strategy. Figure out what your opponent could do, and then crash into them full force. The Dragonite beat it's wings hard against the air taking flight, and then without a seconds pause it blitzed towards the Salamence using Extreme Speed as it's opener to hopefully see just how tough this other mon was.

Choosing a Dragon was good from a type matchup standpoint, but it only got Draco more fired up. The one who wanted to reign supreme above all others in his giving typing, so this would only serve to put him higher up towards that goal!

TLDR

The Dragon Claw found purchase, but due to the Multiscale that his Dragonite possessed, it did far less damage than it actually should have, but that didn't mean Draco was going to just take that laying down, and so it began to build up an enormous amount of dragon energy, and then it shot it into the sky. This was usually the trump card of most, since it lowered the power of special moves, but Draco didn't rely on just moves like that.

And soon a meteor storm began to rain down from the sky towards the Salamence, who had tried to put more distance between the two, and Draco stood there watching as the purple arrows of energy flew towards his enemy. Draco Meteor was a powerful move, and it wasn't one to be taken lightly. So both Amor, and his Dragon were curious to see how it was handled, but he wasn't naive enough to believe that the battle was over quite yet.

So with abated breath, Amor watched as the two dragons danced in the sky above.

Draco just snarled back as he watched his opponent do the boring thing, and so with a smirk as if he had hoped that is what would happen, light blue energy began to encircle his form as he Roosted to recover from all the damage that had previously been done to him. Cracking his neck now as if nothing had happened, he just glared back at his opponent, with a look that said.

"If you weren't a pansy, I wouldn't have been able to recover." or something like that. Another roar poured from the dragons mouth as he began to prepare for his next move, and now that he was fully rejuvenated, his opponent would feel the pressure all the more.

Amor just quirked a brow at Draco's strategy, well it was technically their strategy, as it was something they had come up with once they realized how common it was for opponents to use moves like Protect. Draco wasn't a fan of it, and so he refused to learn that move in particular, and instead focused his entire being on offense. Though with one move to punish opponents for not facing him on his terms, and now he was showing that to the Salamence.

Draco just laughed as the Salamence came after him with a Rock Slide, and he didn't flinch as the rocks came at him head on, and he met the other dragon with electric charged fists. A Thunder Punch uppercut was thrown to the Salamence, and then a right hook, and a left jab. It was like boxing, but with dragons, and electricity. Draco didn't seem all that perturbed by the Salamence's taunts, and instead didn't reply in an attempt to incense the creature even further to get him to make some more reckless moves.

Thankfully with his injuries restored fully by that last attack, the Rock Slide was buffeted away similarly to the claws earlier, and So Draco barely felt it thanks to his Multiscale, but that cheeky strategy wouldn't work further as he intended to beat this Salamence into the dirt, and it showed in the way that he was unmercifully unleashing punches upon it.

Amor instead was watching his dragon fight curiously, regardless of the fact that he couldn't understand a word of what was going on, he could understand the gist of it. It was some sort of Dragon, chest puffing contest, and part of him was proud that Draco had found an opponent that he could have fun with, the other part was a little embarrassed by the whole ordeal.

"I am inclined to agree with that sentiment." He stated to the Gym Leader. Whatever the two dragons were saying to each other, was sure to make both Trainers cringe a little bit. Though before he could finish that thought more roars echoed through the arena as the Salamence seemed intent to strike out with all of it's claws at once. Draco was able to block two of them with his fists, but he was smashed into by the last two, and so the boxing match had resumed. Though Draco wasn't the least bit perturbed, and with both of his fists still charged he attempted to slug the Salamence across the face with a good old fashioned one, two, combo attack.

A quick jab to it's face, followed by a powerful uppercut to it's jaw with it's Thunder Punch. Of course Amor had no idea that his dragon knew how to fight that way, but considering how often Draco sparred the others in the garden, and open field arena in his estate, he assumed that he had picked up there along the way. Fighting so many different kinds of opponents almost daily, had taught him to try, and be ready for anything. Though whether he actually learned from it or not, remained to be seen.

"Not fighting dirty, I am winning." Draco corrected his opponent as he kept his fists charged up ready for another quad-Dragon Claw attack should it come. Though he didn't feel like he could lose, he still kept his eyes on the enemy dragon waiting for an opening to strike next.
