Sadly the Avalugg hardly held much of a threat. He stood proud with a fire type, and Avalugg was merely a large chunk of ice in the grand scheme. While he readied himself to make an attack, his gesture was halted in the way that Andrea spoke from her heart on the matter. For a moment, he felt himself hesitate. What was he doing? What did he get out of this in the long run? A simple 'good job' and a lack of any punishment? How low had Roman gone that he'd sooner do something wrong than face punishment for what was right? He'd once been a proud officer, and here he stood, nothing more than a criminal.

He took a deep breath in and a step back as he stared hard at the ground. His vision grew foggy. (Were those perhaps tears?) Another deep breath and his shoulders shook as he glanced back up at the two, guilt gnawing at his very core.

"I don't want to do this, it's something I have to. Don't you get it? I'm just a pawn in the grander scheme of things. There's bigger fish to fry out there and I work for them. I--"

His words fell short as he took impact to the stomach. It was enough to send him flying back, cracking the back of his head off of one of the stone pillars used for the sake of aesthetic. Such an impact was enough to render him unconscious. The offender, the human-morphed Ditto that had been his plus-one, walked over and picked up the offending grunt. It seemed punishment was in order for him at a failed job. Not only that, but he'd attempted to speak out on his current predicament. What a shame, really, and he was doing so well too. In a puff of smoke, the human-morphed Ditto, Arcanine, and 'Desmond' had all three disappeared.

After what seemed like moments, the maintenance closet cracked open as it seemed the pokemon had broken free of their restraints and opened the door in a matter of teamwork. At least for now, Doraemon and Dussy were safe.
