“Nahhh, not today greedy bird!”[break][break]

He’s lucky he just happened to be walking by the glass door that leads to their measly balcony space (if it can be called that). Maybe it’s his appletun that catches his attention—often out sunning with his small garden boxes that take up most of the space save for a chair and tiny table.[break][break]

The dragon type is thumping his stubby legs against the glass—alerting Lam to the thieving wingull as he is not equipped to go on the offensive. [break][break]

Maybe it won’t be as bad as the flock that assailed him in Lilycove? Found to be untrue as he slides open the door and the bird does not immediately fly away. As a result, his leafeon is sent to pull it down. Fig’s spray of MAGICAL LEAVES are quick to do just that as Lam tries to then collect the mischievous bird into a pokeball.

These birdies really like showing up on his balcony.[break][break]

Normally, Lam would be all about that—but not when he’s trying to tend his berries! He was lucky to catch the hawlucha in action. But before he can even get to it, his garden kitty is on the job. Clove rose from her sunning spot, hissing and spitting at the brightly colored bird where it perched on the rail just above the garden boxes. Its wings spread out to be imposing, but the sprigatito was undeterred. As Lam stepped out, she was darting forward. A QUICK ATTACK disrupting the hawlucha’s balance.[break][break]

He threw a pokeball to seal it up before it fell backward off the rail entirely. Stooping, he then greeted the little cat as she trotted up to rub against his ankles. “Such a good guard kitty.”

When he steps out into the backyard that morning, Lam isn't expecting a delicate frost to have spread out across the grass.[break][break]

He frowns, squinting against the early day sunlight for the source of the problem - and promptly locates something that does not belong among the little songbirds that live and nest among the trees and bushes of their outdoor space. The vanilluxe drifted through his plants, shaking bits of snow on the fronds. [break][break]

"Hey!" Lam calls out to it, indignantly as it startles, "not before I've had my coffee..." Chilled winds kick up as it goes on the defensive, and he shivers, but is quick to whistle. Poppy comes fluttering down from her perch - feathers ruffled against the cold. She's clearly just as disgruntled, but gets the memo.[break][break]

A blasted HEATWAVE melts the frost and sends the icy pokemon hightailing it toward the ajar back gate from whence it came.

Calla yawned as she shuffled through her apartment. It was early—earlier than she probably needed to be up on a weekend, but the habitual routine of being an early riser in order to commute to work had embedded itself into her sleep cycle. Rubbing her eyes, she made her way to the coffee pot to begin its daily percolation.[break][break]

Only to stop short as she passed by the patio door to her cramped balcony. There was an eiscue perched in front of her tiny window garden. Could eiscue fly? How had it gotten up there??[break][break]

hey! shoo! she yelled as she thumped on the glass, but the bird only looked at her and went back to its snooping.[break][break]

Scrambling, she found a pile of pokeballs she’d recently bought and threw open the door. Vesper, her mawile, roused from the couch and followed. She pelted the eiscue with a fairy wind and while it was dealing with the pulse of air to its face, Calla chucked a ball at it, smug as it was sucked inside. that’ll teach ya to mess with my grepas.
