No way Derek was playing delivery boy, and he didn't have one on him at this time.

Slotting two pokeballs between his fingers, Derek allows their contents to spill out onto the field. His Gigalith and Maractus weren't as proven in battle as some of the others, but he had a good feeling about the synergy between them.

"Ready when you are." With the challenge soon to be underway, it should come as no surprise that Derek's pokemon begins to kick up a sandstorm within the arena. Not that it would be anything new for the guy in possession of the weather badge....

it sends out a DARK PULSE at the gigalith while the flygon soars high above, letting a DRAGON BREATH pour down over the gigalith as well.

The assault on a single target is expected, though Derek trusts his Gigalith to endure for as long as it can. During the chaos of their attack, Maractus acknowledges part of the problem, decisively flinging it's worry seeds towards the fellow cacti.
