The dark wings of the Braviary stretch, its shadow being cast done upon the path as it glides overhead. It’s been a while since the last time Mars brought Boreas to Mount Pyre; ever since the assault back in November. Circumstances had been much different then, and truly, the underboss had relied on his companion during more than a couple of dangerous moments.

Now, he simply runs while the huge bird-of-prey flies overhead, knowing Boreas is both enjoying the chance to stretch his wings and also searching for any potential threats. That’s just how the Braviary is. It’s part of why he has come to be one of the most valued Pokémon in Mars’ team.

A warlike screech warns Mars of the presence of a potentially hostile pokémon nearby, but unlike the Unown, Boreas can't just show him what concerns it. This being the case, the runner chooses to trust his companion, whistling once for Boreas to deal with the issue.

A battle ensues and soon a Beheeyem falls from the skies. Mars watches it, his gaze shifting up towards his Braviary once he's sure the threat is dealt with. At that moment, he smiles.

"Good work." He says before returning to his run, knowing the bird-of-prey will hear.

When the Rotom darts by, Mars barely notices it; only coming to realize what he's seen when it appears a second time. It seems to follow him for a bit, zapping from tree to tree as if taunting him.

Of course, the more likely reason is that it's attracted to electronic devices Mars has on him (phone, smartwatch, and so on), for those are a rarity in this graveyard of a mountain, but honestly Mars prefers his reasoning.

Good thing he couldn't care less for getting yet another Rotom.

Now, see, a Farigiraf is not a pokémon you just miss. Where the Rotom had barely been noticeable until it started to try to mess with him (and then promptly disappeared into the woods when he smacked it), a Farigiraf is... well... tall. Really tall, at that. And this one in particular stands right by his path.

It probably wont attack, Mars knows as much, and he also already has one of them, but...

But, he's greedy, so Boreas is given a whistled command.

The Braviary is quick to act, circling overhead and soon striking the wild pokémon with brutal power. Their encounter does not take long, and soon enough, Mars finds himself throwing a Luxury Ball.
