Vanilla sat in place, her hands bringing Proxii's body towards her chest as tears poured out of her face. The smartphone laid beside her, once the cozy home to a little gremlin of a Rotom, crushed into multiple pieces. Her world had grown mute, focusing on her fallen companion while the world around her had become muffled and mute. The beast standing over her that had slain Proxii, the resulting beam from Eris that was to push them back, even Fritz shaking her to snap her out of the mental funk she was in. Her weight seemed to sink into the earth, the girl letting out an ugly sob until she felt something pull her along.

Vanilla blinked, slowly coming back into the thick of things as the little floating orb would stay by the party. While still distraught, she would be able to move alongside Eris quietly, still clutching the empty shell of the Rotom that was Proxii's body. She quickly found her center and began to run alongside the Eris to safety. "I won't let you go just yet, Proxii!" Vanilla cried, fetching a Pokeball from her side as it grew in her hand. She'd toss it out as a Sylveon would appear before the group. "Moonbeam it, Ribbon!" The pink and white Pokémon would charge for but a moment, then unleashing a multicolored beam at the spirit before them.

Her smile is so cheerful, a brief thumbs up thrown in their direction as Reiner throws one final aiding Spark and Mesprit touches her shoulder. And with that, they're gone like the wind.

While the two focused on taking out the vengeful spirit, Flynt hadn't even noticed Eris slip away. So when he turned to see that their party was one member less, his mouth dropped agape. What the actual FUCK?! Oh hell no. They literally got ghosted in the land of ghosts. Rather than lament on his frustrations, Fritz turned back to narrow his eyes at the spectre that posed a current threat. With his Annihilape at the ready, the creature prepared itself with a Rage Fist, attacking the spirit with dark energy. Once it hit, Fritz clenched his fist, proud of the Annihilape.

"Alright, now one last hit -- shadow punch!"

With the final attack on the spirit, it seemed that Fritz was able to dispel it. Shadows began to collapse in upon themselves and soon faded into a bright white. Before them sat a now purified spirit of a Shiftry, likely one of the many guards over this seal. Fritz bunched his brows together and couldn't help but frown at the sight before him. He could only assume the long deceased pokemon had been stuck in between for centuries. But he spoke kind words to the restless spirit.

"It's ok, you can rest now. We won't disturb this area any further now. But when we come back, I promise we'll treat it respectfully."

Fritz bowed his head politely to the spirit and soon the Shiftry's soul faded away. He'd never exactly helped something pass on, but it was a little peaceful. Soon enough, he called back his Annihilape and threw out his Alakazam. Hopefully with the vengeful spirit now at rest, they could try to recover Proxii's spirit. Fritz's Alakazam stood with its arms outstretched and carefully performed a Recover on the spirit itself to try and draw it back to them. Once the spirit of Vanilla's Rotom was drawn back in, things were now up to her.

"Let's try to raise Proxii's body up to the spirit and join them together, shall we? After this, I'll have Alakazam teleport us back to the entrance."

Even with their combined might, Vanilla would watch as the angry spirit continued its assault against them, but not before discovering Eris had decided to dip away from the fight and wish them both well. Vanilla frowned at the smaller girl, her brows furrowed as her and her Pokémon would zip away after helping dispatch their angry spirit. This left only the ranger and her to fend for themselves in this realm, although nothing seemed too impossible for the two of them so far. They had been through like 4 things together in the span of roughly an hour anyway. Their combined attacks would take down the angry spirit while Vanilla hurried to the side of Fritz. Light condensed in the form of a Shiftry, with the younger girl observing as the man would help soothe its fury. With a little prod and a promise of respect, the spirit would ascend beyond. Ribbon came up beside Vanilla as she looked up at the smaller spirit currently fleeting around. The small orb would hover just out of reach of them, while Fritz would call forth an Alakazam and get him to help recover Proxii.

"Hang on, Proxii." Vanilla said to herself, holding it body above her head and slowly pressing it against the spirit. Proxii's body would remain still for but a moment while the orb phased into his body. ALl remained silent until the Rotom showed signs of life again. Vanilla let out an audible gasp as the Rotom flickered back to life, crackling around them both. She cried in joy, having worried about losing her friend. After the two had a little reunion, Vanilla's arm went around Fritz, squeezing him as hard as she could manage.

"Thank you....ThankyouThankyouThankyou!" she cried, hugging the Ranger tighter as she ugly sobbed.
