Toshiaki pulled out all the stops on this one. Brand new baking equipment is polished neatly on the counter tops. Whiskers, mixers, every ingredient possibly needed- you name it! Baking was a rather vague memory for him. Sometimes he’d help his mother or grandparents in the kitchen, but only when he was very small.[break][break]
He straightens his cooking apron all prim and proper, and smiles over at Lilith just like he always does.[break][break]

[attr="class","hanatext"]He honestly didn't need to buy any of this. If simply given a bowl, a spatula and a whisk, and asked to work with it, Lilith would have no qualms with doing everything by hand. But she neglects to mention a word about the sheer extravagance because if it makes him feel like a true baker, why should she rain on his parade?

"Uhm."

Unlike Toshiaki, she doesn't quite have a cooking apron to adjust, only a Wooloo to carefully manoeuvre around with ingredients and bowls in hand. And whilst he smiles, she can only offer him a temporary look of contemplation.

What were they actually making?

"Macarons, I guess..."

What a great choice for beginners! She carefully pulls her hair back and twists it into a bun, bundling it all up with a rather mundane brown clip.

"We need to separate the yolks from the egg white." Golden orbs do nothing better than reflect the beautiful hue of his eyes, tinted with hues of concern as she attempts to pull the words from her mind.

"Do... you think you can do that?"

Macarons were a Kalos speciality, right? Despite being to a bunch of stuffy rich people parties in his childhood his mind’s coming up blank. Oh well. It’ll turn out fine, right? His hand causally glides over to get Wooloo brisk pets whenever it runs on by, lending a helping hand. [break][break]
And.. has he seen Liltih’s hair up like that before? It’s cute.[break][break]
“Let's give the Macarons a try! And yeah! Leave it to me.”[break][break]
Say what you want about him. He’s not a quitter. Once given the instructions, he’s already working on separating the yolks from the egg white. Seems like his muscle memory hasn’t failed him yet.[break][break]
