[break][break]
every great hero and villain have an epic origin story.
[break]
ironically, life is not predictable. namely how life starts. one cannot pick their own origin story. instead, one is forced to accept the origin story dealt to them. it is their very
SOUL that determines what they will become.[break][break]
rarely, in some cases, there are those who are truly in the middle. that
GRAY AREA that nobody wants to accept or tread. the area where right and wrong sometimes swap sides like some sick joke.[break][break]
life begins
fine. mother and father are mediocre at best. they care more for each other than they do the child. eventually they pawn the child off to the help. why not, they have enough money to do so.[break][break]
when the child cries, they shush the child by giving it whatever it wants. this
spoils the child. helps the child to believe that life will do the same.[break][break]
but life does not. for life is
biased. life does not spoil the child; cruel reality rears it's ugly maw. the shining and brilliant fairness the child has known is washed away by the blackness of unfair denial.[break][break]
in response, the child throws a fit. the child gets angry at the world for not giving the child what it wishes. but the child cannot punish the world, it can only punish the one who betrayed the child. the child thinks,[break][break]
'vengence will suffice. after this, i will be happy.'
[break]
a
villain is born. this villain wants revenge; to get even. the villain lashes out, destroys those who hurt them. tears their world apart like their own has been torn.[break][break]
horror sinks into the child's very core. the child always thought themselves a
hero. always thought themselves worthy of the love that so easily betrayed them.[break][break]
what then but to
run? as hard and as fast as the villain's legs could take them. from one region to another, running until they cannot breathe. they are
suffocated; they are
drowning. their muscles are cramping and the world begins to darken. water fills their lungs. but as they feel they may no longer float, there is a
break in the surface of black. they begin to wonder,[break][break]
'what if i stop running, and start fighting?'
[break]
the sins of the past, the stains of yesterday, they cannot be washed away so easily. but the clothes can be changed. the past can be stripped and the future can adorn the child's shoulders.[break][break]
but sometimes, the villain becomes a hero
[break]
a great deal of life has been spent running. it's high time a new leaf is turned. fighting for love; even if it isn't one's own love that is being protected.
