[attr="class","starrytext"]tightening the grip upon his ball. rosy cheeks enveloped arian's expression. he was near the point of reaching a euphoric climax. heavy breathing grew as he began to undo the tie around his neck. "i'm feeling so overwhelmed right now. this is the point of climax; will you help me reach the ultimate true bliss, fernando?" the ecstasy of this battle had been so overwhelming that it was time for the final bout.

arian was going all in.

"i knew you were going to be a ride." and so, gripping his ball, he'd toss out his final pokemon: gengar. the snickering ghost who smiled with glee was ready to bring on the pain.

[attr="class","starrytext"]in return, arian ordered, "lock it up." burning, magenta hues indicated gengar was using an ability. using DESTINY BOND, gengar could see the smeargle's very soul. tethering them together in mind, body, and spirit. they were now one in two and two in one.

"and let's follow up with CONFUSE RAY!" his next command was given. gengar stared intensely into the smeargle's eyes. had it not chosen to divert its gaze, it would come to be afflicted with a sinister ray that would trigger confusion.

[attr="class","starrytext"]oh. gengar became enraged. gengar would utilize, without command, SHADOW BALL. generating a black sphere of dark energy, gengar would toss it directly at the smeargle.

[attr="class","starrytext"]the smeargle shifted into gengar. "that was transform...what an annoying pokemon." but that didn't mean arian was down for the count. the one thing fernando was most famed for was training his pokemon to the point they were neither partners nor pokemon, but simple soldiers. whether this was true or not could be proven based on how the match started.

there were little to some commands being given. he had a strategy. from how he spoke earlier, arian was able to tell that he had a battle plan but had to shift his order. even he's human, so there was bound to be an upset every now and then; no plan was ever foolproof. there were things he could factor in what the no-longer-smeargle knew: transform, encore, taunt. arian was unaware of disable for the time being.


and now that he shifted into gengar, it meant they were both on equal footing. but gengar was still under the effects of taunt. arian just had to trust his pokemon, so there wasn't much for him to do as his tamer. gengar was so focused on hurting the copycat that it began to charge a shadow ball. once constructed, it would release it toward the g!smeargle simultaneously as confuse ray was used consecutively with night shade following right after.

gengar was taken aback by the surprise of confuse ray, but upon shifting to night shade it would collide with the shadow ball. causing the energy to clash and dissipate one another. the night shade saved g!smeargle, shockingly, by an accident.

gengar was now confused.

[attr="class","starrytext"]there was no chance for gengar to escape. arian could take a gamble and continue the fight. hoping that, upon being confused, there was some chance for gengar to fight back. the percentage was there after all. but the gamble wasn't exactly fun for arian. a good trainer knows when he's been outmatched--this time.

"no point in dragging it." raising gengar's ball capsule, he'd return the pokemon. "next time i'll use my strongest pokemon on you." he'd forgotten who challenged him. it wasn't some random trainer, it was FERNANDO SILPH. "this wasn't as fun as i thought it'd be. we'll have to have a rematch." offering his badge, he'd toss it to the silph mentor.

"when you're not busy and wanna have a proper gym battle befitting someone of your strength. come back--make sure you have something to bet on. i'll definitely give you a run for your money." winking, arian smiled. sending him off with the chance to return for a greater fight. one that needn't require an official to oversee it.
