Personality: [break] Jade could probably be described as a player. Due to never having never met his mother and assuming she just abandoned him to his father his views on love are a bit skewed. To a certain extent he doesn’t really believe in love but still dreams of finding the perfect one. Someone he can spend the rest of life with. However due to how much he flirts and how many people he has dated one would have trouble believing that about him. With how popular he has become since becoming an idol it has made it even harder for him to warm up to the idea that there is someone out there for him.

Due to his father he does struggle with trust issues. Not that his father ever did anything to him. His fathers tough love just made it hard for him to warm up to people. Sure he’s friendly and he’ll talk to someone but he tends to keep his cards close to his chest and never fully opens up to people. That is perhaps why he dreams of finding the one so he can tell someone things he can’t just talk about with anybody.

The one thing his father ever commended him on was his determination. He has a stubborn streak a mile wide. Once he has decided to do something he is going to do everything he can to do it. It’s after all through sheer determination that he has made it where he is today. And it’s also that stubbornness that prevents him from fixing the strained relationship he has with his father.

His father says all of this and more. He knows his father will never support dreams of him being an idol. He wants him to have a what he calls a good career. A career fitting of a River’s. He knows his father has high hopes for him and sees idols as nothing but a joke. But he can’t help but dream of making it big of people knowing his name.

His father is strict and tries to get him to study for what he calls a respectable career. He tries to get him to abandon his dreams, constantly telling him “you’ll get nowhere by following your dreams”

But dream he does and when a chance presents itself he leaves. He packs his bags and slips away in the middle of the night. For awhile he travels going from one place to another before eventually finding his way into Hoenn where he hopes to make a name for himself.
