On the icy 'ground' level, a flowing jacket hung off a young man's shoulders as he laid a hand on a giant, smirking poke ball and stared holes into the man above.

Electricity visibly cracked around sphere as his arm rose before it pointed at the Charizard.

"Again."

The youth clicked his tongue as a ground type was released, staring as it bore down upon them with eyes aglow, their lightning achieving nothing.

"Go." He muttered as he slapped the top of the Electrode, its grin growing dangerous as it wound itself tightly, seemingly flattening against the floor like a stomped rubber ball before it suddenly launched towards the rushing Claydoll.

It blurred as it moved, rocketing towards the Claydoll even as it barreled into its power, the extrasensory throbbing through its round body as it began shining brightly and—

BOOM!

A bullet wheezed past Dorian's face as he spoke; one could almost get the impression it missed entirely on purpose.

"Make time, then." A voice said from nearby— above?

Riding atop a Dratini not too far behind, the youth held an old revolver in hand, pointing the business end of it at the old criminal.

Not a very efficient choice, but certainly sent a message, given the audible click of the hammer that followed.

"Let's play, Mr. Westcliff." He bantered with a blank face, fun the furthest thing from his mind.

"I'll be sure to hurt only you." The youth replied in turn, pulling back the hammer yet again and trying to line up his shot as the Charizard began to maneuver about, his eyes tracking the other man's top hat—

"Tch!" He uttered as the crazy Baltoy suddenly zoomed into their path, his eyes widening.

BOOM!

As the smoke cloud kicked up, the youth and his dratini disappeared behind the fiery curtain, single long stream of smoke plummeting to the ground below.

Now back on the ground level, Doug was splayed out on the charred remains of his Dratini, its body wrapped around his own. His body was aglow with Lele's neon scales, the burns and bruises brought about by his reckless behavior slowly disappearing. Wordlessly, despite the pain, he nonetheless lifted his arm up and pointed the gun at the man in the distance, determined to take one last shot.

The same couldn't be said for his Dratini. The poor dragon writhed briefly before the light slowly disappeared from its eyes and its body stilled completely— only then did Doug throw away the gun, finally forgetting about Dorian.

But it was too late. It was already dead.

"No..." He muttered lowly, eyes wide as his scales failed to bring it back, swallowing hard as he realized what his idiocy had just caused. "NO!"

What the hell was he even doing...?
