[break][break] a loud mechanic screech echoes in the air as the pokemon slashes at the poisonous globs with FURY CUTTER. they fall to the ground like confetti, making a move to dash for john and ollie.

[break][break] however, when the former throws STICKY GLOBS, the beaste throws up a WIDE GUARD. the sticky globs crash against the shield, exploding on sheer impact.

[break][break] "i've got more!"

[break][break] ollie checks several more STICKY GLOBS in the pokemon's direction, all of which multiply and detonate upon impact. soon, the shimmer of the wide shield hardens into iron and then careens backwards, slamming down atop the strange creature.

[break][break] was it...?

[break][break] then it suddenly bursts wide with DAZZLING GLEAM.

[break][break] shit!

[break][break] ollie tosses out his kecleon, who's SUBSTITUTE immediately takes the brunt of the damage and is knocked out.

Post-Dormitum Mission: Interdream

"Crud!" Spat Doug as he leaned back to catch the unconscious kekleon by the head, yanking it back atop the Wyrdeer. "Is this thing made from someone's nightmares?! Who the hell dreams of this shit anyway?!"

Usually, whenever people dreamed of Gardevoir on the internet, it didn't have much intersectionality with mechs.

"This is gonna be the last of my sticky balls!" Doug warned Ollie as he prepared for one last hurrah. "Soon as we get it, we gotta kick it into high gear and get the hell out!"

Though whether or not they managed to get out of the Interdream zone just by wanting it would be up to pure luck.

Lining up his shot one last time, the youth threw the sticky ball right at Gallade-esque machine unsullied foot, releasing a victorious cackle as it stomped the damn thing and visibly stumbled, it's LED-like eyes widening in shock as it nearly face planted before it managed to correct, stomping the floor solidly before it turned its narrowed gaze back towards them.
