The mission was simple: locate the Sealing Stone before Rocket did. Unfortunately, to do so, they would have to navigate the Interdream Zone, and all of its dangers. And given Thomas' last attempt to do so, accompanied by Callan, he knew how dangerous the area could be.

Complicating matters was his company, his own student. After Andraste disappeared on him, he couldn't bear the idea of Doug getting hurt.

"Be careful.", he'd warn Doug.

Thomas certainly had reason for concern; Doug looked like he had seen hell thrice over throughout the entire day, his uniform in tatters. It looked as if it had been slashed, shot, beaten, bitten, burnt, soaked and dragged across the dirt all in one.

Which it had.

"Don't worry so much!" The youth said with a laugh. Perhaps that was most disconcerting; the youth looked terribly unbothered by his state. Moody and like he wanted to be literally anywhere else, certainly, but definitely not concerned for his own health.

Granted, his uniform looked far worse than the youth himself did. Disconcertingly so.

"I'll be fine, trust me." He said, palming a pokeball confidently. "S'long as that thing doesn't pop up, we'll be golden!"

"I can't help but worry.", he'd reply to the younger man. "I've dealt with enough loss for one day."

When he mentioned a 'thing', Thomas looked at him. "What was this 'thing' like?", he'd inquire.

Only for a Mist to summon a figure familiar to the young soldier.

"... Yeah, that's fair." Doug said in response, his blasé mask slipping off. "I'll be more careful."

Unfortunately, he wasn't called the jinxed for no reason. He just had to go and say the thing.

"Uh. Well, it looked kinda like—"

Pop.

"Like that, yeah."

... beat.

"Son of a—!" Yelped the youthin a panic as he jumped back in shock, dropping down the pokeball in his hand and releasing his Kingler. Well shit— broke that egg. Best to make the most of it! "Guillotine!"

The idea was to kill the thing as quickly as possible— Unfortunately, he hadn't called it a Sith lord for no reason, the Gallade-voir leaping back easily enough before immediately summoning it's Darth Maul-esque Double lightsaber.

"Aw shit, here we go again!"

Thomas looked on at the strange thing that was summoned. It looked mostly like a Gallade, but Thomas could also see characteristics of a Gardevoir in there.

Perhaps it was some sort of hybrid?

In any case, its appearance answered his question.

Thomas brought out his Muk, who would belch up a glob of Toxic sludge at the strange Pokemon. The hybrid had other plans, as it managed to use its blade to Psycho Cut the glob before it could reach it.

"I'll tell you about my encounter later.", he'd promise Doug, as he examined the thing carefully.

"Yeeeah, best we keep our focus on this one." Doug said with a nod, narrowing his gaze at the Gallade-esque machine.

A good attempt, but it did not help. One moment, the Gallade was standing still after cleaving through sludge, the next it had zoomed across the field and planted itself between the Muk and Kingler, its lightsaber suddenly shooting off in either direction and impaling both pokemon in the blink of an eye.

Doug remained silent and speechless for a moment— before the machine swept its arm, turning the impaling into a cleave and cutting both pokemon in perfectly seared halves.

Its gaze slowly shifted towards the humans next.

Thomas looked on in shock and horror as the Pokemon managed to cleave both of their Pokemon in half, in a frightful display of power.

Before it could act on it, Thomas quickly sent out Freke the Alakazam.

"No more fucking around!", Thomas declared, pulling out a pocket watch, which opened up to reveal his Keystone. Pressing it caused the Alakazam to undergo Mega Evolution.

The Alakazam managed to Trace its Quark Drive, an ability that would not come into play.

Thomas would activate the Alakazam's Z-Move, Psy-Tempest.

The Gallade-like machine would be surrounded by a pink haze, before it would be caught in a violent storm of psychic energy, which left a Psychic Terrain in its wake.

"R-right!" Doug said, more than a half-step behind as his gaze lingered on his Kingler— another pokemon— before he swallowed his anguish and palmed a pokeball of his own.

No more fucking around indeed.

"Garo! Mega evolve!" Shouted the youth as he threw out the pokeball, the keystone etched into his cap coming alive with a crackle of primal energy that soon swallowed his Orbeetle whole, enveloping it into a black egg.

It shattered not a moment too soon, just as the Gallade-esque machine crashed from the storm onto one knee, struggling to rise back to its feet, eyes glowing bright red as if in warning.

Z-move: Psyquic

SHATTERED PSYQUE



One Z-move from a mega evolved pokemon had brought the machine damn near defeat— A second one was just overkill.

As the psychic beetle finished smashing the machine across the dream zone like a pinball, its target dissipated into nothingness upon crashing one final time, leaving the two men tensely waiting for something else to occur.

The combination of the two Z-Moves managed to defeat the strange, mechanical Pokemon. Thomas noted the effect that Psychic-type attacks had on the strange creature in general. One would expect that a Gallade and Gardevoir hybrid would be resistant, or at least take such attacks neutrally, like Gallade.

That was when more of the Interdream Mist started to form and manifest. Thomas looked to his student. "Shall we get the fuck out of here?", he'd ask Doug.

If Doug accepted, Freke would Teleport them out of the danger zone.

Doug gave his Kingler one last look before returning the corpse to its pokeball, sighing. "Yeah, let's get the hell out of here."

If he never got into the Interdream Zone ever again, it would be too soon.

He needed to stop signing up for these bloody shit shows.

+50 MP for participation in a Postdormitum Battle/Mission.
+100 MP for completing a Postdormitum Mission.
+200 MP for pokemon death (does not stack with KO). (Kingler)
