Naia knew well the amount of effort she'd have to put into Rocket if she wanted to be known and trusted, but even so, it would have been nice to just have everything magically work out. Now more than ever Naia was lost on what to do. Normally her mother would have laid out a path for her in which all Naia needed to do was nod and smile, but this choice was hers alone. The glimmer of anticipation she saw from her mother did nothing but add to her crippling pressure; Naia knew even if she were successful in her endeavors--it will only get worse from here on out.

[break][break]It was for this reason that Naia was taking her little meeting so seriously, she wanted to give good impressions to her fellow.. what would she even call them? On that thought, the person ahead of her stepped up to the counter, leaving the young silvered haired Naia next. Her hand searched through her pockets to fish out her phone, nonchalantly maneuvering the different windows with one hand to get access to her messages with... Miss.. Mrs? Alvara.

[break][break]Once Naia was called up for her order she didn't bother to look up from the screen, just hovering a hand slightly in front of her to feel where the counter started so she didn't just blindly walk straight into it. The snippy tone of the barista barely registered with Naia when she'd carefully consider and sound out her order, "Two larges.. 4 sugars, creams and milk on the side.. and uh... three expresso shots on the side as well." That way if Alvara didn't like any Naia can handle drinking the rest. "You can throw in a muffin too.. I don't care which one.." Wait.. would it be rude to be the only one with food? "Th-Throw in a second.."

How often did she entertain waltzing into a famous coffeeshop chain? Calliope was certain she could count the amount of times she had on a single hand, and there had been reasons for that. Reasons she'd forgotten because it'd always been someone else fetching her caffeinated drinks. But she had wanted to be alone; had even gone through the effort of sending her personal assistant home early and whittled their presence down to non-existent for the next few weeks by gifting them a paid vacation.

Anything to get them out of her sight. It wasn't like there was a lot going on now, with having announced a break and going abroad. It had only bothered Cal slightly, seeing as her mentor applied the same reason as she had three years ago... except hers had been an excuse. From the depths of her heart she hoped it was not the same for Velda.

It had led to her being here too, in a way. With her modeling career currently on the downlow she'd decided to focus more on the Rocket part of life, and had been granted an opportunity. She was to meet one of their long-time supporters, reasons to be explained during said meeting. Hear her out; see what she has to offer. Clear instructions by far, and their rendez-vous was only a stone's throw away from this particular shop. Calliope had hoped to hop in for a drink and hop out just as fast, but had not taken into account the fact half the shop actually knew her face.

The delay had been a hell, but she'd managed to smile through all of it, even appealing to some's wishes for an autograph while slowly but steadily squeezing her way into the queue. Much to her dismay she now found herself behind a fellow silverhead who just seemed like she couldn't make her mind up about her order even if her life depended on it.

With an annoyed huff, Calliope crossed her arms and watched the smaller woman fumble with her own thoughts. "Or a third, while you're at it." she muttered underneath her breath, rolling her eyes at the barista quickly enough for the woman in front of her not to see. Whether she had heard Calliope's sarcastic remark wasn't something she was too concerned with; she'd made sure, despite exasperated, that her voice had been neutral.

It was a good thing her meeting was only bound to happen in another hour or so, or she'd be fashionably late.

[break][break]Naia wasn't completely oblivious to the scoff of the woman behind her, however they did pose a very real possibility for her. If she just stuck with two there was a chance that maybe her new acquaintance would get something they didn't want. What if they were more hungry than she thought they were. There was too many variables for Naia to just be okay with two muffins now, plus she hadn't paid yet so she can change her order. "Add a third one too.. M-Make sure they're all different."

[break][break]It didn't bother her none that the worker behind the counter threw a death glare to the woman behind her and rolled their eyes to at least grab her food before she'd make any more changes to her order. However it wouldn't be long before that irritated look would be one of shook when Naia finished punching in her tip and completed her order. The last she wanted to do was annoy someone who was handling her food, so she ensured both her and Alvara's safety by paying double. It wasn't the first she'd nonchalantly throw money at some random café and it definitely won't be the last.

[break][break]Now she just needed to wait for her drinks, by taking her spot over by the pick up Naia finally got to see her secret helper and the carnage she left behind. Just watching made her feel exhausted, she couldn't imagine having people constantly talk to and about her day in and out, and pity only grew when she noticed there were still some who seemed to be working up the courage to get more signatures. As a way to distract herself from the tragedy before her, Naia would take out her phone to start fiddling with a crossword app she had installed before a thought struck her.

[break][break]Wouldn't the coffee get cold? At least what she could do was leave them a message that she'd be showing up a bit early, then if they showed up on time it wouldn't be her fault anymore for it being cold. Worse case, Naia just drank cold coffee and bought more.
