every now and then, the rangers corps asked to do small tasks like this. mila preferred it a lot more than the missions she used to be asked to go on, when she'd still been in training. now that she was off on her own, and only part-time, most of the jobs here were easy.

[break][break] the shiny wooper and spritzee chirp their agreement, before hopping off into the stand. rosé pressed her beak against a stray can, before hopping back over to mila and placing it into her plastic bag.

[attr="class","leymain"]With the swell of summer’s body on the horizon, clean beaches were an important facet for many interested parties-- namely, the tourism bureau, which is where Hoenn made the majority of its income.

This meant that the task of tidying up the tourist hot spots fell down the Ranger hierarchy until it came to those dregs at the very bottom of the teacup.

He didn’t mind. Though picking up trash was a far cry from the scientific pursuits he preferred, he was not above losing himself to the brainless work with the early summer sun a warm light above him. He certainly enjoyed it more than many of his missions with Laurence Anderson--whom he had the sneaking suspicion was the slightest bit miffed at him-- which, quite frequently, put them both in the line of fire.

Joining him is his Croconaw, Nylotica, who Fox had long given up on lecturing about putting trash in her mouth. Cans were her favorite thing-- she loved the cronch of them as they crushed between her jaws.

He reached down towards something shiny, reflecting in the light, and paused when a purple Wooper hopped up nearby.

“Oh? Hello. Are you helping clean up, too?” he asked the little creature, curious as to how it came to be here.
