”Thanks,” they said acknowledging the compliment. Though they didn’t plan on climbing too far up. They had no interest in being some kind of leader. Telling someone what to do had never interested them. Or maybe they just didn’t want to be the one to be the one making the hard decisions. They would leave that to someone else.

To be honest they weren’t sure why anyone would want immortality. It seemed like it would lead to reckless behavior. Of course that was just their opinion. Maybe not everyone would let such an ability go to their head. But maybe it was because they also so death as a fact of life. And to mess with that seemed like it was just asking for trouble.

”I don’t envy you there’s not enough money in the world that would make me want immortality,” they told the older male after having watched him heal after cutting himself. Getting injured didn’t really phase them. Sure it hurt but there was something about almost dying that led someone to not be phased about getting injured. That didn’t mean they were reckless though.

In fact they were a fairly cautious person. Though considering the fact they stayed masked even in rocket that probably wasn’t to surprising. Even with a simple mission like this they were cautious. Yes they knew it was weird that they didn’t want to become an avatar. But they had had things handed to them their whole life. And becoming an avatar seemed like it would be something that would continue that trend at least to them it was. For once they just wanted something that wasn’t handed to them.

They weren’t stupid and knew one must probably find the legendary to gain its respect and become an avatar. But still to them it was a pretty easy one way to obtain power. And if they were to gain power it’s something they wanted to fight tooth and nail for. There was also that whole messing with nature business. They weren’t about to mention that reason though.

That is if the conversation ever came up again. Bryan seemed content just to let the matter go so they would as well. Silence fell between them only to be broken by a commotion in the cafeteria. They were already moving towards the location reaching the cafeteria just after Bryan did.

The ninja Pokémon appeared in a flash of light before looking at Sage for direction.
