If one were to ask if they liked working with others or preferred working alone, they would choose the latter. Not out of dislike for others but because they liked their own privacy. It was probably the reason they knew only a select few of the people who also aligned themselves with Team Rocket.

Due to this, they somewhat expected very few people to know about them. So learning of a fellow grunt looking for them who they had never interacted with before was definitely a surprise.

Usually, unless dealing with one of their superiors, they wouldn’t go out of their way to track someone down. However, hearing that this person was seeking them out purposefully made them curious.

Curious enough to see what this stranger could want from them.

Though curious, they still proceeded with caution when going to see what their fellow grunts could want from them. It wouldn’t be to let one guard down and get stabbed in the back after all. Not that they thought that was what would happen. But still…

Babies, huh? Probably not the best idea to have such a team if you planned on being a part of Team Rocket. Especially not when they were on the precipice of a war. People like them and Asher needed to be prepared to fight if they needed to. They highly doubted the higher-ups would just allow their members to not help them in the fight against Team Rocket.

"Could be a problem if you're asked to battle against the league. I've heard the whispers, another war is brewing."

When fighting against the league, it was probably best to come fully prepared. In their mind, that meant having a team of fully prepared Pokémon. However, if the other teen could figure out a way for Pokémon not fully evolved to work in his favor, then he should have at it.

"I will admit, though, that I probably don't have as many Pokémon as I should. I haven't been out much in order to catch Pokémon."

Considering he was trying to keep his identity hidden from the league, it was probably for the best. Less of a risk of being discovered if he didn't go out much. Of course, that would involve him losing his mask. But still, one could never be too careful.

At the question, he paused in his cleaning, repositioned their body so it was easier to talk and clean, before they answered his question. "I got caught up in someone else's mess and got hurt because of it. Found myself on my own, hurt, and with limited knowledge on how to treat wounds. Didn't feel I could go to the league, so I turned to Rocket," he explained, trying to stay somewhat vague while also sticking to the truth.

War. Of course they had known about the conflict between Rocket and League long before they had joined. If things were different they wouldn’t be having this conversation with Cillian but a league official. They had been all ready to fight for the league. They had dreamed of being a hero who took out the big bad rockets. Things change though and heroes didn’t exist, not real ones. They had come to learn that the hard way and with their views skewed they had decided to pledge their alliance to Rocket.

“True enough, one who takes the gym circuit could easily just figure out what moves are strong against what Pokémon and use that as a basis to make their way through the gym circuit. Doesn’t really force out of the box thinking. In all honesty one doesn’t even have a be a god strategist to make their way through the gym circuit.”

As he spoke it was clear they considered themself among the few who took part in out of the box thinking when it came to battling. Of course the they had had Absalom as an example was a plus. He seemed to actually think over the benefits of each move before using them, or so he figured.

After getting some kind of confirmation and realizing they were up first they released Soulfire, the Chandelure, and Kitsune, their Thievul, from their pokeballs.

Once they were far enough away, the illusion around them dropped, and they returned Soulfire back to her Pokéball. Minerva, on the other hand, stayed out of her Pokéball as a means of finding out if everyone perished. Luckily, it seemed they all had, even the guards that had simply been knocked out hadn't made it.

There had been a small part of him that had been worried about them waking up and getting out. After all, they had been the closest to the exit. It seemed their worries had all been for naught, however.

The other's voice brought them out of their thoughts. Anyone else might've bragged about their skills, but since they weren't the type, they simply inclined their head in acceptance of the praise. "It was a pleasure working with you."

High praise for someone like them. It was hard to make a big enough impression on them to get any kind of praise from them.

Once the other was gone, they turned their attention to Minerva. "We should head out as well, probably not a good idea to linger for too long in a place like this," they pointed out.

Well, they supposed that taking them out was one way to go. It was no skin off their back if they simply forced their way in. Not that they had actually forced their way. More like used some kind of knockout gas. Which was more their style. Kind of made them curious about the other, especially when it was clear he had been prepared for whatever the gadget was to not work.

Instead of acknowledging what had been done, they remained quiet as they followed the other into camp. If needed, he would help the other out, but for the most part, he kept an eye on their surroundings.

Listening to what they were told, "Don't worry, I'm not planning on letting myself get blown up. If worse comes to worst, Minerva knows teleport," they told the older rocket, making sure to keep their voice low. While the illusion masked their presence, they had a feeling that it wouldn't protect them if they got too loud.

Sounded like a plan to them. Something short and simple, not some kind of complex plan that may take them a while. And their kind of plan as well, considering it required them to be sneaky. Some might even say it was a bit underhanded, not that they would agree with such accusations.

Seeing no point in further conversation on the matter, they simply nodded to show their consent and allowed the other to start off the plan.

Once the Braviary had successfully grabbed hold of the Pokémon's attention, he gestured for Artemis to attack.

Thanks to Artemis possessing the ability "long reach," he didn't have to get up close and personal with moves that usually meant getting close, so he only went a small distance away from Sage and Priam before attacking the Walking Wake with Leaf Blade, landing a pretty devastating blow due to landing a critical hit.

It seemed that the other person did have a hard hitter. A Pokémon they had never seen before but had heard about. Absalom had talked about it a few times before they had ended up in Rocket. What was it called again? They were well aware that it had in the past only been native to Alola but couldn't remember what it's called.

Deciding to think more about it later, they turned their attention to the tent. Trusting Greninja to take care of himself without him there, they slipped inside the tent, immediately releasing Nightwing, their Crobat, to put the scientist to sleep.

Once that was done, they could do what they needed. Get the research and meet back up with their partner and Poseidon.

"Teleport can be disorienting to those not used to it," they said, seeming wholly unfazed by the teleportation, unlike Ozni, who looked like he was about to be sick. While the others recovered, they kept part of their attention on the Iron Thorns and the restarted battle.

Like Artemis, the two mentioned Pokémon heeded their trainers' call, each activating their own moves. Minerva used Psychic, while Poseidon followed up with Water Pulse. Once close enough, they could safely see the Pokémon without being detected. They eyed the Pokémon, which looked strange and kind of resembled a Suicune, one of the Johto legendaries. Or should they say former? It was no longer around, after all.

The other's voice drew their attention, and they committed the name to memory. "I wouldn't know, honestly. I heard a Pokémon like this appeared in a game, but I'm not much of a gamer," they admitted with a shrug. They just preferred a good book to a video game of any kind.

Eying the Pokémon, their gaze flickered briefly on the path behind the paradox Pokémon. Something told them that they should go ahead and deal with the Pokémon now while it was distracted, instead of sneaking off and risking the chance of running into it again when it had all of its attention focused on them.

They hadn't been traveling for long when Priam's voice drew their attention. Turning away from the direction they had been going, they looked in the direction the other rocket was pointing. Smoke, not good. There was no doubt in their minds that it was from some powerful attack.

The roar that followed didn't make them any more keen on checking out what had caused that smoke. On the other hand, they were sure to be chewed out by their superiors if they didn't even try to gather information on a powerful Pokémon.

Resisting the urge to sigh, he nodded in the direction the roar had come from. "Let's get closer. I don't really want to get on the bad side of our superiors if they found out we missed the chance to gain information on a powerful Pokémon that the rocket could potentially get their hands on."
