Seriously, who was this guy? Didn't he know what a paradox Pokémon was? They had thought everyone knew what they were. More than enough people talked about them in their opinion. But it seemed there were still people who hadn't heard about them.

"Paradox Pokémon, said to be variations of Pokémon we know from different timelines or ancient/futuristic relatives of certain Pokémon we know, that's what the stories say anyway," they said with a small shrug. They themselves weren't really sure what they believed, nor did they really care.

With the guy agreeing to stay out of their way, they put a plan into action. Hopefully, it would work out in their favor. They barely paid any mind to the other as he ordered his Pokémon to help them out with Flower Shield, instead just choosing to focus on getting the Iron Thorns to leave them be.

Minerva's Psybeam slammed into the Electro Ball, keeping it at bay a bit as Poseidon and Artemis did their moves. Poseidon used Double Team to increase his speed and evasiveness, while Artemis used Shadow Sneak to sneak up behind the Iron Thorns and use Leaf Blade.

Being a Rock type, the Leaf Blade did a considerable amount of damage to the Iron Thorns. Trusting Artemis to be able to take care of himself, they turned their attention to the power struggle between the Psybeam and the Electro Ball. [break] Ozni Adebayo

Decided to file that information away for later, they decided to just answer their fellow Rocket's question. "Unfortunately not, it's a Pokémon I'm hoping to add to my Pokémon team though. I do, however, have a Chandelure that knows the move Night Shade. I've been working with her in order to use the move outside of battle to cast illusions. If I don't have access to the illusions of a Zorua or a Zoroark, then I just have to be creative and make do with what I do have," they explained, resisting the urge to sigh at the amount of talking they had done.

While it was true they weren't really antisocial, they weren't exactly social either. So a lot of talking wasn't something they were a big fan of. However, since the older Rocket was their partner for the mission, he needed to know what he was working with.

Listening to what he said about the Dark Triad, they decided to look more into that later. While they would love to know more about the people they would be facing, now wasn't the time. They would have to find out more about the Dark Triad at a later date, on their own time.

"Sure, if I make use of Soulfire's Night Shade move and cast an illusion with it, I could," he agreed, deciding not to mention that if he was by himself, he wouldn't need a Pokémon to move around undetected. The perks being adept at matching his movements of shadows in order to blend in with them.

While they awaited the others response a familiar feeling hit them. The same feeling of fear that had hit them once before, the last time they were here. It made them want to doubt themself, question everything that could go wrong. However having experienced it before they were better prepared for it and were able to brace themselves against it. A slight stiffening was the only sign of what they felt but other than that they showed no signs that anything was wrong.

Be on guard, something in here might try to influence you to feel fear," they told him, sounding more serious than they usually would. Usually, in a situation like this, to not appear weak, they would lie. However, as he was their partner, he should be warned about any obstacles that could stand in their way.

They didn't like it. They didn't like something trying to influence the kind of mood they were in or the images such a strong feeling of fear had produced.

The sound of footsteps approaching caught their attention. Whoever it was, they were running. This could be very bad or very good. Oh, who were they kidding? When was someone ever running a good thing? And with that thought, they braced themselves.

They weren't sure what they were expecting. But the person that appeared wasn't it. It took a second for their mind to register that whoever it was, they were speaking to them. Getting out of the crouch they had instinctively fallen into in case they had to launch themselves at the person, they looked the guy over, not that the guy would realize that considering the mask he wore.

Before they could respond, the sound of something large coming from the direction the guy had come from had them snapping their head towards the source so fast it was a wonder that they didn't get whiplash. "Damn territorial paradox Pokémon," he said, turning to face the threat.

"Stay back, I'll protect you," they said. And didn't those words feel strange on their tongue.

Shaking off the weird feeling, they released Minerva, their Beheeyem, from her Poké Ball. "Use Psybeam on the Electro Ball when it's released. It should hold it back a bit. Poseidon, use Double Team, and Artemis, use Shadow Sneak and then Leaf Blade after you appear behind the Iron Thorns."

If they got worked up about someone keeping their identity a secret, then they would be nothing but hypocrites. After all, besides Cillian, no one knew what they really looked like. Even when at the base, he always wore a half mask that covered the top half of his face. This mask completely sealed the top half of his face and often made people question whether or not he could see. Contrary to popular belief, he could see, and even if he couldn't, his senses were fine-tuned enough through meditation to navigate without relying on all his senses. His clothing choice also gave little away about who he was; basically, the only thing one could know for sure about him was his hair color.

So, his fellow rocket appearing disguised didn't bother him. Instead, he simply inclined his head to the other when he returned the introduction, as he had never been the best at small talk unless the other person started it.

"Yes," he said simply, trying not to sound as awkward as he felt. To further hide it, he turned away from the other and started walking in the direction he needed to go.

He had barely taken a step when sudden intense fear shot through him. It was like a punch to the gut; the feelings were so strong. "The fuck," he muttered under his breath as images of himself dying down here and, in turn, his twin dying because of their parents flashed through his mind.

"I'm probably still lacking a few Pokémon known for stealth, for instance, I don't own a Liepard," they said, their thoughts straying to the Dark type. It just wasn't a Pokémon they had ever come across. But considering its skills of moving silently and reappearing and disappearing with no warning, it would be a good Pokémon to have, even if they already had a few Dark type Pokémon in their possession.

At the mention of only one of the other Pokémon being capable of helping with missions, they were surprised. Perhaps it was because all of their Pokémon were fully evolved. Though they had no way of knowing if that was the case. It was entirely possible that the other teen, like them, had a team full of fully evolved Pokémon.

"Is there a reason for that? Most of your Pokémon not being reliable enough?" they inquired curiously, wondering if they had been right in their line of thinking or if it was something else.

At the introduction, they committed the name to memory before getting on with their own introduction. "I'm Sage," he said as they followed them into the bath room.

When they had heard of someone in armor, they had been expecting someone in a clunky suit. The kind that made a lot of noise if you weren't used to wearing it or was heavy to move in. What they hadn't been expecting was a cybernetic suit of armor that made them think of a ninja.

"Cool outfit," they told the older male. Unlike Amor, they had no modulator to alter the sound of their voice. Instead, they simply deepened their voice. Even so, they didn't really need a voice modulator. They were pretty skilled at mimicking someone's voice, throwing their voice, or simply changing the way they spoke.

At the introduction, they simply inclined their head before thinking over how much they should give away. Part of them wanted to keep some of their skills secret. After all, there was a bit of fun in mystery. And who didn't love a good surprise? Besides, if there was anything they had learned, it was that it was good to keep your cards close to your chest.

"Stealth and subterfuge are my strongest points," they said at last before continuing. "However, that doesn't make me incapable of fighting. I was in a few martial arts classes when I was younger," they said, keeping their voice at a lowered volume, which was surprisingly easy despite speaking in a deeper voice than their own.

At the question, they shook their head. "No, I've only been with Rocket for a few months though. Didn't they kind of fade away in the background for a while there?"

Apparently, venturing into the Giant Chasm and the surrounding areas was a good way to meet new people. It seemed that every time they came here, they met someone new, whether it was their partner for the excursion or just by chance.

Being the first to arrive at the entrance to the Giant Chasm, they were waiting for their partner and decided to do a bit of meditating while they waited, standing to do so.

Since they were meditating, Poseidon, their Greninja, was keeping guard. However, it turned out that having Poseidon stand guard was unnecessary because the sound of approaching footsteps caught their attention, causing them to open their eyes. Of course, no one would have known their eyes were closed due to the mask they wore, which covered the top half of their face.
