It has been a while since they had worked with Mint, but they were ready for it. Ready to prove themselves to the beast. Something they hadn't had the opportunity to do last time. An opportunity they had wanted to have since finding out he was a beast, making him one of the higher-ups in Team Rocket.

Reaching the meeting spot undetected didn't take long. And upon closer inspection, they realized they were the first to arrive. Something that didn't really surprise them. They had left a little early, after all, not wanting to risk the chance of being late.

Looking at their watch, they realized that maybe they had left a little too early. They still had around half an hour until they were supposed to meet up.

Oh well.

It gave them a bit of time to go over what was expected of them, as well as make sure they had everything they needed. A good thing, since they liked to be fully prepared.

First, though, they needed to stay hidden in case anyone not from Team Rocket just happened to wander up.

A few minutes later, they found themselves a little way up a tree, crouched down to avoid anyone who walked up and spotted them. Due to not wanting to be seen, they kept their movements limited as they checked through everything.

They seemed to have everything.

After checking that they had everything, they slowly lifted their head to see if Mint was coming. The sound of footsteps reached them, and they waited with bated breath to see if it was Mint.

If it was Mint, they would drop from branch to branch until they reached the bottom to meet up with the beast.[break] mint frost

Petalburg Woods had become contested land ever since the blight had brought more attention to the area. Regardless of Elisabeth Fiorelli 's rot, nature would try to overtake again. But her rot had been so large and unnatural, rangers had attempted rehabilitation. But their utmost focus on the blight left other areas of the woods unattended and that's where Rocket would continue to move through when needed. [break][break]

He carries the usual device from the lab, retooled as a would be ghost hunting tool. His Froslass floated next to him. Neon figured if anybody could help him clear out something haunted with the grunt accompanying him, it was another ghost. [break][break]

The typical beeping in his handheld is silent, and in the darkness he opts for low light mode. The usual expressions that flashed on the front of his helmet were missing for now. Affogato floated forward elegantly before pausing. [break][break]

"Pokemon or?" the Beast asked as his partner tensed as movement from the trees above changed before the young Rocket dropped. "Hey!" his greeting is clipped as he makes sure to drop his voice. "Been waiting long?" he asked as his Froslass smoothed herself over before continuing her path forward. [break][break]

"People seemed to have found some primo caves form the tera crystals that made be ale to skirt around the blight and main league patrol hot spot." he said, not too concerned as the Froslass moved on without them. "Any questions?"

Ignoring the way the Pokémon at the older rockers side seemed to be tense before realizing it was them, they took in the older rockers appearance. Of course, due to their ever-present mask, which only covered the top half of their face, it was hard to tell they were doing this.

Unlike last time, their superior was wearing a mask. Or perhaps a helmet would be a more accurate term. It was definitely a curious helmet, and they wondered if they were prepared to run into any stray leaguers like they were.

They returned the greeting with one of their own before shaking their heads upon hearing the question. "No, I only arrived shortly before you did; I did have enough time to check my equipment again, though.” And apparently there was enough time to scale a tree, but they didn’t say that, especially since climbing a tree was pretty much second nature to them and easier to climb than a wall.

Well, that was good. The last thing they wanted was to run into any more leaguers. The last one they had run into had caused them to fail their mission. It still bothered them that they were forced to surrender to Josh Devlin, though they supposed being able to leave was better than getting killed or captured by the league. It was probably only still such a big deal for them because it had injured their pride.

“Good, I don’t want any goody two shoes leaguer to get in the way.” Their thoughts are still on their failed mission from before they delivered that comment more aggressively than was actually necessary. However, when the topic moved on, Sage would regain their usual calm composure.

The question was expected, and they shook their head. They could ask if they were expected to find a ghost Pokémon or if someone actually thought the place they were going to was hunted by actual human spirits. They didn’t believe in the latter, but they had to admit they were curious as to how all of this would go down.[break] mint frost

"Good motivation! I'm sure it's just some ghost types haunting the darker spots of these caves. Most of the time al it takes is one or two good battles, and adding some lights and they tend to stay away." They'd be doing the initial sweep. [break][break][break][break]

They move in, catching up to his slow floating Frosslass as she scanned their surroundings. The earth opened up into an underground tunnel and eventually widening into a tera crystal infested cave. But despite the brilliantly glowing crystals, it still felt pretty dark. Like something was eating the light or a type of HAZE was floating outwards towards them. [break][break]

"Careful, these spontaneous caves have also been causing wild pokemon to terastalize, on top of the paradoxes that fly out to attack." he said as something moved form the murky darkness and slammed his Frosslass into the wall, right on cute. "Shit-!" [break][break]
