It'd been a while since she'd been home. She'd been living in Hoenn for a couple of years thanks to Orthrus so she was well accustomed to how wild things in Hoenn could be. She just never would've expected things to go to hell as soon as she decided to take a vacation to her homeland for the first time in a while. [break][break]

When she heard about the dome going up over Hoenn and how she wouldn't be able to return home, she'd done everything in her power to try and get in contact with Jack Magnus and the rest of her gang family to no avail. So instead, she returned home and spent time with her father and old friends in Unova. [break][break]

It just wasn't the same though. She was beside herself with worry and no matter how much she tried to distract herself it didn't help to alleviate her worries. On the day the projected meteor was supposed to crash into Hoenn she stayed glued to her phone for news updates. The relief she felt once everything was confirmed to be okay was immeasurable. [break][break]

The first thing she did was tearfully call her friends back home to check up on them. Now that her feet were now finally on the soil she felt like she could breathe again. Another thing that surprised her was that her brothers were in Hoenn too. She wasn't quite too thrilled for one of them to be here but whatever, Hoenn was a big place. Surely she could avoid him well enough. [break][break]

Today she was supposed to meet with caelum reinhardt for lunch. She was looking forward to it because it had been a while since she'd seen him. A lot had changed about her and she wondered how much had changed with him too. Manicured nails quickly tapped her screen as she shot a quick text to let her brother know she was at the cafe and would hold a table for the two of them.

It had felt like centuries since the three siblings had last seen each other, with Caelum's arrival in Hoenn he had received an invitation for lunch from his sister, something he could not pass up that easily, after all father would be long distance paying for everything. As the last sibling to have come over he would once more be thrown in the chaos of being the middle man between his younger sister and the older brother, something he had already been accustomed to.[break][break]

He also knew that his mission needed to begin as soon as possible too. The first step had been accepting Leilani's invitation, the second step had been conning his older brother on joining him for lunch, without the two parties knowing of course. Sadly this was the only way he could do it, otherwise they would avoid each other like the plague.[break][break]

Quickly looking over at his phone because of the vibration he'd quickly reply to his sister. "Can you get us a table for 3? I'm bringing over someone that has been helping me get used to Hoenn." Putting his phone back into his pocket as quickly as he had taken it out, he knew this plan was going to backfire for about 20 minutes but by the end everyone was going to be laughing. [break][break]

"I heard the panini in this place is to die for, bro." He'd say towards @maximilian as they pretty much arrived at the place, never letting the smile on his face fade away, despite knowing both of his siblings were about to explode at him and each other.[break][break]

He and Caelum had always gotten along, there was no need for competition between them. The two of them sought out different paths in life, and rarely overlapped aside from social situations.[break][break]

"Table for Reinhardt." He announced to the hostess, stepping up to the stand with both hands in his pocket. The woman gestured towards where Leilani Ka’uhane was seated, a crimson flush of frustration rushing into his cheeks as he jerked his head towards Caelum. "You're fucking kidding me, right?"[break][break]

Max rolled his eyes, clearly disapproving of the gesture, before sliding into the seat across from Leilani.[break][break]

Lani knew something was up the moment Cae replied to her text telling her to expect another to join them for their little lunch date. But she gave her sweet older brother benefit of the doubt, which she quickly came to regret. Caelum hadn't changed at all these past few years, this was proof. [break][break]

The smile she had reserved from him quickly faded as sanguine orbs, much like Max's own, landed on her eldest brother. Her disappointment was immeasurable as it was clearly written on her face, but she said nothing until, "Surprised you could take a break from whoring yourself out to have lunch, Lani."[break][break]

Her eyes narrowed sharply in a glare before her facial features quickly shifted to something more pleasant. "Aww jealous? I would be too if I couldn't get any bitches." she said as she leaned her cheek against her hand. "So what brings you here? Shouldn't you be busy losing championship battles or something?" Lani's words were honeyed but the punch behind them stung like venom. He went low but she'd go to hell and wound him where he hurts most.[break][break]

It was always like this between them two of them. Didn't he ever get tired picking these fights with her? Turning her eyes to Caelum she gave him a tired look. "If you want to give me a headache there were more efficient ways to do it."
