Cillian Quinn's advice had been taken. A special saddle ordered and then fitted to his pokemon's back. Trigger shook herself some to make it more comfortable as Temp finished up strapping her up. Taking a step back to admire his work, Temp leaned forward to pet his dragon on the snout before trying to climb on.[break][break]

Unlike last time, there was no sliding and getting tangled up. Feeling a little more confident, Temp grasped the reigns and urged her forward gently. He tried his best to recall what Cillian had taught him on their horseriding trip.[break][break]

"Come on girl, we got this." He muttered to his pokemon. A run through the Safari would be a good chance to test her out.[break][break]

Part of this whole endeavor was to find a few pokemon to fill out his ranks. Another part was to get used to riding on Trigger. And the third? He didn't just want to ride on his pokemon; he wanted to be able to battle with her.[break][break]

They got their chance soon enough. A Venoshock splatters on Trigger's side, causing her to whirl around suddenly. Temp is almost thrown off but manages to catch himself.[break][break]

A Mareanie stares back, lingering on the edge. Temp hated very few pokemon for that they were, but these guys... they were an invasive species in Hoenn and causing major problems for the Corsola colonies in and around Pacifilog. Why had the Warden thought it was a good idea to stock these?[break][break]

He was going to have to pay an old man a visit and kick his ass.[break][break]

The Venoshock's poison darkened the flesh, a sure sign of poison. But Trigger didn't allow that to stop her, rushing forward to slam into the other pokemon with a Dragon Tail.[break][break]

While the pokemon was stunned, Temp tossed one of his Safari balls. May as well take this one.

Another pokemon shot from a dark patch, hoping to get a quick hit in while Trigger was weak and Temp distracted.[break][break]

It slammed into the Kommo-o, making her yelp, but she lashed back out with a Drain punch. The Morpeko ends up crying out as it rolls to the ground, clearly not expecting the sudden and powerful attack.[break][break]

Trigger huffed out of her nose and shook out her scales, clanging them slightly.[break][break]

Temp pulled out his phone and checked the time, then checked on his pokemon's injury again.[break][break]

"Well..." A Shrug and he tossed a second Safari Ball at the Morpeko. He could give it to someone later. It was almost time for dinner, anyway.
