Alexei wouldn't have to look far to find Shalin; from the air, he would be able to see a sizable plateau in the corner of Petalburg Woods, nestled in the foothills between the forest proper and Rusturf's mountain range. In the forest proper, it was hot. Thankfully it was a relatively dry heat. Once at the plateau, though, a strong breeze would help cool things off some. It was far from a pleasant day, but the wind evaporated sweat and allowed the bodies of trainers and Pokémon to properly cool themselves.

Two sources of commotion near a small lake may have caught the Birdfather's attention: one was of a Pheromosa and a Type: Null sparring with one another, the other a rather large, blue-eyed, Shiny Beedrill standing next to a Flygon. The saddles and reins they wore told him all he needed to know about who they belonged to. If he were to fly in closer, he would be able to see a short, green-haired female dressed in a green-and-red SYGNA SUIT, large eye shields similar to a Flygon's covering her eyes.

Wait, was that Beedrill using its wing to lift her off the ground?!

After the Pheromosa and Type: Null traded several blows, the latter had enough, letting out a yawn and falling over in a power nap. Nymris, still pent up with energy, pranced all around Lathiel as Alex and Kyouya came in for a landing.

On the other side of the small lake, Shalin heard Alex's voice seconds before her Beedrill was to start buzzing. "Hold off for a bit," she said to her partner, her legs dangling from the translucent wing's sides. "Hey Alex!" she waved toward the savant of the skies. "What, you've never seen a Sygna Suit before?"

While each suit was unique, tailor made to wearer and synced Pokémon, the capabilities bestowed with Shalin's were... jarring to see in action, to say the least. By now, he had made it close enough to see that she was clearly... somehow... sitting right on her Beedrill's wing, tilting with it as her partner tried to keep it steady with each gust of wind. "Glad you could make it to my Romping Grounds at last, and especially after the cleanup from that... woman's... mess." As much as she wanted to oust Elisabeth Fiorelli , she knew she was no match for her Wo-Chien. She could throw a dozen Pokémon at it, only to see them all die in the impending RUINATION.

Alex's reaction, perhaps an over-reaction, left Shalin hysterical, lost for words before she could answer. "No joke, but we took care of it. The blight's gone. It took way too many Rangers to clean it up." Though the field was still quite yellow instead of a vibrant green, things had improved over the course of recent weeks. "Most of it's been concentrated around my home, too. I saw the Pokémon that's behind it. It's this snail that carries these tablets with it. I've never felt a bigger sense of dread from any Pokémon in my life."

But enough negativity. Shalin smiled as she was about to break poor Alex's brain. "Seriously, you've never seen a Sygna Suit before?" she asked, pausing to let him answer. "It's pretty wild what they can do. They're the pinnacle of a bond between a Pokémon and trainer, and they can let their wearers do extraordinary, almost supernatural things. It's almost like being an Avatar, but on a lesser scale. Mine makes me feel a lot lighter to Pokémon, and lets me handle... extreme motion. I can show you!"

With that, she rest her hands on the Beedrill's wing and held on tight. As Queen Zing warmed up her wings, beating them just below the threshold of human hearing, Shalin looked like she was in the middle of DOUBLE TEAM, false images of her forming around her in the arc the wing beat in. Not long after that, when it seemed like things couldn't get any crazier, they buzzed - far louder than Beedrill wings had the right to. Shalin was now a mere streak of red and green colors marking the part of the nearly invisible wings the Beedrill was churning. The vibration aroused Lathiel, who started prancing toward the source of the noise.

Even Lathiel couldn't help but blink in awe of what Shalin was doing; as many times as she had been around her trainer while she pushed her suit's capabilities, this was the first time she actually saw the girl in action. The vibration peaked; it was so fast that Shalin was nearly invisible, the green glow of her suit's glowing Crystalbloom the only way to track her position. Her Flygon's Sync Stone also glowed in a bright green color; if Alex was familiar with the flow of Infinity Energy, he would be able to tell quite a large amount of it was traveling between her and her Flygon.

The peak didn't last long; after just a few seconds, the wing gradually slowed, Shalin becoming more and more visible. She let out a yelp as a strong gust of wind forced the Beedrill to adjust the angle of her wing to keep the girl seated. She became visible when the wingbeat rate slowed to that of a small bird, eventually coming to a stop. She swayed on the wing much like an intoxicated person. While the suit prevented almost all of the physical harm the vibration would have caused her (and it was a good thing, as she would have been pudding without it), it did not leave out any of the disorientation that came from being flung up and down countless times per second. "Whooooooo-hoooooo!! What a ride!!" she whooped in triumph.

It was no secret that Beedrill had some of the highest wingbeat rates out of any Pokémon around. "It's all okay!" Shalin answered, regaining some of her mental and physical acuity after one of the wildest rides any of her Pokémon could take her on. Her legs still tickled too much to stand on after a run like that, though; the first time she did that with her Yanmega, she slid off as soon as the ride was over, only to collapse on her legs the moment she touched down.

"Without a Sygna Suit, it absolutely would!" She clarified with a big grin on her face. "But with it, it doesn't even hurt!" Without the suit on, giant wings vibrating that fast could cut right through a finger or even a limb, depending on the Pokémon.

Once she recovered, Shalin slid off the green Beedrill's wing. "Thanks for the run, Queen Zing!" The bug-type's eyes flashed varying shades of blue as the rider withdrew her prized Pokémon. Though her legs were still feeling a little like gelatin, she wanted more. "The suit is actually compatible with Flygon and not Beedrill, but it works all the same as long as we're close enough to one another! If you've got a single Pokémon you're really close to, and a vision of what you want to be able to do, you can commission a suit around it! Mine was to make me the wildest Pokémon rider Hoenn has ever seen, and will ever see!"

With that, she repeated the act with her Flygon, only this time the vibration was even faster. With a muffled command, the dragon's wings chirped in a harsh pitch. The shriek of its BUG BUZZING wings was far louder than normal, just like with the Beedrill. It fully put on display the powers of her SYGNA SUIT, Shalin's reckless BRAVERY making the clashing shockwaves visible in the green light of her SYNC STONE. Anything standing where the two sound waves overlapped one another would have been torn to shreds from the inside out.

Once the madness was over, Shalin spent a minute or so catching her breath before smiling, "And that's what a Sygna Suit can do!"
