"Not only age wise but mentally wise. And I've grown up to fast. Dad was always a tempermental man. He liked to drink and do drugs. But I thought that was normal. My best friends dad did too. It wasnt till... Till my mother left when i was 4 that I realized the dangers I was in." Icarus looks down, and pulls Absol closer to him. "Dad did a lot of things to me since then... I was his punching bag.If it weren't for absol here, I'd still be his punching bag." He ruffles Absols fur and a low grumble of content comes from her chest. "Some days I still wonder if I deserved all the scars he gave me. Dispite what all my previous therapists tell me. I cant help but wonder." [break][break] Icarus looked up at the therapist. As she spoke. "Will you tell me specifically what he did Icarus? Our notes here say he ---" [break][break] Icarus's eyes shadow over. Almost like a mask covering his face as he tenses up. Absol, feeling the difference, becomes wide awake. [break][break] "I don't want to talk about it." Icarus states in a low voice almost like the words are struggling to come out of his throat, before she can finish saying anything. [break][break] The therapist opens her mouth to ask again but before she says anything Icarus lunges out of his chair, knocking it back. "I SAID I DONT WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!" The therapist, surprised by his quick outburst stands quickly reaches for him but this surprises him more and he Grabs her hand and quickly twists it, spraining or possibly breaking it. But before he can do anything more Absol has the back of his coat in her mouth and she's pulling him back and away from the therapist. [break][break] A few moments pass with Absol holding Icarus back while the therapist holds her hand to her side. [break][break] "Deep breaths Icarus. Deep breaths. Just like we practiced." After another few minutes of showing him how Icarus starts to mimic her breaths. As soon as he calms he breaks down. Crying and curling into a ball he repeats "I'm sorry. Im so sorry. Over and over again. [break][break] The therapist just nods, picks up a remote and the recording ends.
