Nebula was the first to alert him to the presence of a Pokémon. Looking at where the dark type was looking he saw a Wishiwashi in one of the ponds. ”Leave it,” he told his partner. It wasn’t a Pokémon he wanted and there was no point in the dark type attacking it. Not when it wasn’t doing anything to them. It would be different if they had to defend themselves against it.

Come on let’s move on he said as he resumed walking. Of course with his trainer moving on Nebula resumed walking as well. Like before the dark type kept to his trainers heels.

While they walked he kept an eye out for any Pokémon. His attention would soon be grabbed by a Galarian Zigzagoon. From what he knew of the Pokémon it would be a pretty interesting Pokémon for him to have. ”Nebula, weaken the Zigzagoon so we can catch it,” he told the dark type. Since he was watching the other dark type he noticed it was gearing up to attack them anyway. Probably because the Galar version was known for being territorial. Not that it mattered any to him. But he knew that Nebula might go out if he thought there was a chance the other Pokémon would attack Jade. Which he knew was a definite possibility considering how aggressive the Galar form of the Pokémon could be.

Having his orders Nebula charged towards the Zigzagoon using knock off making the raccoon Pokémon slide back. Before she could react Nebula would slam the Galarian Zigzagoon with a quick attack before pinning it to the ground. The Zigzagoon seemed to realize she wouldn’t win against the Absol so he threw a safari ball at the Zigzagoon. The Zigzagoon was sucked inside and he stared at it watching as it shook back and forth.

Seeing that the catch was successful he grinned. Picking up the ball containing the newly acquired Pokémon he put it away. Now that that was taken care of he continued on his way. Not bothering to call for Nebula he started moving again. He knew he wouldn’t have to call for him. He would just fall in behind him. The dark type was just good like that. Good at not having to be told to do something, though that might be due to how close him and the dark type were.

As he walked he looked around. His attention was momentarily grabbed by a Clamperl but he decided just to let it be. This time he didn’t need to tell the dark type to let it be. In fact the Absol seemed to pick up on his trainers body language and didn’t even acknowledge the Clamperl. Which worked well with him. Since he didn’t want to have to call it back every time they happened to come across a Pokémon.

So far he hadn’t had much luck. He had only used one of the three safari balls. He was sure his luck would change soon. Considering his line of work he had to put forth a certain image. And that included the Pokémon he had. His fans expected him to have a certain collection of Pokémon. Not that it really bothered him. But when it just came to him he had no preference. Seeing himself as a lover of all Pokémon. However considering he only had two safari balls he had to be think of how certain Pokémon would fit in with the rest of his Pokémon. And on a lesser scale about his image.

Still he couldn’t help but feel bad about the Pokémon he dismissed. It was a feeling he got every time. And it was a feeling he got again when aside from looking at the Ledyba he didn’t acknowledge it and neither did Nebula. Instead the two just moved on. He hoped that the next Pokémon would provide him away to get away from this feeling.

It wasn’t long before they came across another Pokémon. This time an Elekid. The electric was definitely a Pokémon that would do well with the Pokémon he currently had. Seeing that his trainer had come to a Nebula stopped as well and eyed the Elekid who seemed to notice them at that point. Instead of attacking it just seemed curious and walked over to the dark type.

He watched as the Elekid seemed to be trying to get Nebula to play with him for a few seconds before throwing a safari ball at the distracted Pokémon. Hopefully since she had seemed interested in his Absol the electric type would allow herself to be caught.

After picking up the safari ball containing Elekid he continued on. While they were walking movement from his peripheral vision caught his attention. Pausing he looked around trying to see what had caught his attention.

His gaze would finally land on a Charcadet. After looking it over he noticed it’s eyes weren’t the normal color. Did that mean it was shiny? Before he could think to much on it it noticed them. It than charged towards Nebula with a flame charge.

Nebula wasn’t unprepared though and quickly used detect to protect himself from the attack. The attack harmless slammed into the shield Nebula had up. Unhurt Nebula would preform his own attack on the fire type. He would hit the fire type with a knock off.

Before the Charcadet could retaliate he would throw a safari ball at the wild Pokémon. It would hit and the Charcadet would be sucked into the safari ball. Now all there was to do was to wait to see if the catch after that. After that it would be time to head back considering he was out of safari balls.
