Hell, the Braviary gave a surprised squawk the moment he realized something was amiss, because holy shit on a stick how were they going to survive for long up here?!

“W-wait for me!” he yelled as once they’d finally come to a landing on the moon… he would literally jump off and away from the Braviary; ready to just. Be there.

With all the small and not-so-small Kaguya Celesteela that called the moon home.

Elinor hadn’t really had time to consider the implications of where they were going. Too many things had happened all at once, so by the time she reached the moon and realized that she wasn’t supposed to have been able to make that journey, never mind leaving the atmosphere, simply breathing up here, that was all too late. She had already made the journey. Still, if by some fluke they made the journey, they still shouldn’t have been able to survive up here. And yet here she, and as she looked around, everyone else was living and breathing.

This was all very dizzying, and that was putting it mildly. She jumped down from the Salamence, she needed to feel proper solid ground beneath her feet. Beside her the Kartana hovered thoughtfully as if deciding what to do.

“I am in favor of not disturbing them.” Elinor agreed, though finding herself beset by a dizzying spell of vertigo. She merely assumed it was the journey here that had caused it. But as she tried to move, she found her foot stuck. Looking down, she saw vines that had sneakily sprouted from the ground. A Celesteela nearby stood tall with a smirk on its face as it was happily lapping up Elinor’s energy through its LEECH SEED.

It was rather anticlimactic, the way they all landed on the moon and nothing terrible happened. Memo still had too much anxiety to trust that everything was okay.

…the waver in Elinor Anderson ’s voice got him looking over, and he saw the myriad green vines crawling up her leg, like verdant varicose veins. He tsked, realizing it was all too good to be true, and released his Kabutops, who gently slipped one of her scythes between the leeching roots and Elinor’s leg to free her from their grasp.

“We should get out of here,” he said, then thought about it a moment, and amended: “We’re leaving. Everyone mount up.”

For the three of them, they were in agreement not to disturb the origami-looking… thing.

Alex, however—never mind he didn’t have his breathing mask on—was actually traipsing around the ‘lunar’ surface, taking in all the sight of the gigantic and teensy Celesteela that called this place home…

“No,” he breathed out, before finally spotting the tiniest little Celesteela, some distance away from a rather large brood. “You… you go do your thing with the little origami things. I’m staying here.”

With that, he would crouch down and gently pick up the infantile Celesteela in his arms—never mind if it felt like they were absolutely weightless because outer space, and all that—there was no gravity around here, so the little ‘steela in his arms was light as a feather!

The Braviary let out a screech of dismay, before flying over to Memo and then gently trying to prod the other man towards where his idiot human had run off to, absolutely refusing to leave the surface of the moon now that he had a little ‘steela of his own to baby.

Aww, Kaguya!

(Someone get him out of here by hook, or by crook. Use Mega Evolution and haul him back screaming if you have to!)

“Thank you!” She said, giving Memo and his Kabutops a quick thumbs up. Before returning her attention to her surroundings. It seemed the Celesteela might be feeling a little bit peckish and they looked like snacks.

“Agreed, let’s leave.” Elinor said, but before she could make a move she noticed how the killer-origami hovered in front of her. It seemed almost as if it was expecting her to do something. Deciding it wouldn’t hurt she quickly retrieved a Pokéball and offered it to the Kartana. It looked a bit confused quickly followed by curiosity. It poked the sphere and was quickly sucked inside. It did not emerge again.

Only then did she realize that she had held her breath the moment it had been sucked inside. Returning to her surroundings once more, she quickly jumped onto her Salamence and took to the air.

And as she ascended it became apparent that the Celesteela that attacked her wasn’t the only one rising to the occasion, and they had noticed Alexei’s unwillingness to depart.

Can’t believe I have to do this… Elinor grumbled in her mind as she summoned Chang, another Salamence, to her side. The Dragon took a moment to hover besides the one Elinor was riding, before flying in the direction the trainer pointed.

Radiant rainbow light enveloped Chang the Salamence for a brief moment before it emerged Mega Evolved, and with new speed it soared quicker than any flying Pokemon in Elinor’s arsenal could toward Alexei. Like a missile Chang flew with purpose, and only halted his speed for long enough to safely grab the unwilling trainer with its jaw, before dragging the trainer into the air kicking and screaming of necessary.

Hopefully their Braviary would come and pick the trainer up after this, because flying like this wouldn’t be a pleasant ride for Alexei.
