Getting the Amigo app had been a strange experience. It wasn’t something he would’ve signed up for if it wasn’t for a friend. A friend of his had thought it was a good idea. Though he was sure it was because they thought he worked too much. The app was a way for him to find activities with other people and relax. Nothing he was to good about doing.

Though in the end he supposed it hadn’t been such a bad idea. He had met a few people he had stuff in. One of them he had even been going back and forth by email to set up a meeting. Her first message to him hadn’t made much sense. But it had been later cleared up through his private email that it had been her younger sister sent.

It seemed like something his younger brothers would’ve done. They would’ve seen it as them helping him to make friends. And he was sure it was the same thing when it came to Shion’s younger sister. That she done it to try in her own way to help her sister make friends.

He had only said he understood before they had gone on to make plans to meet up. And that was what he was doing now. He was on his way to meet her in front of the cafe they had agreed to go to. He just hoped he hadn’t kept her waiting. That he wasn’t running late.

Considering how punctual he was he didn’t think he was. But he was still worried that he was due to that shower he had to take. His workout routine had left him all yucky so he had decided to freshen up. He was too big on making a good impression to do otherwise.

As the cafe came into sight he saw Shion already waiting. He quickly approached his Espeon and Umbreon trailing behind him. ”I hope I didn’t keep you waiting to long,” he said giving her an apologetic smile. ”Oh right like I mentioned in our emails this is Aurora and Selene,” he said gesturing first to the Espeon than the Umbreon.[break] Shion Uehara

To his relief she had been kept waiting long. He hadn’t thought he was running late. But it was always best to be sure. On any other occasion he would probably arrive before the specified meeting time. But there was a few times where he just caught up in his training. Like he did today. Luckily it hadn’t made him late.

Both Aurora and Selene were friendly. Something that showed when they weren’t opposed to moving closer to Shion. Though Aurora was the most forward of the two. Selene had always been more on the reserved side. Something he was sure was his fault. Since he kind of toed the line between being amiable or being reserved.

He wasn’t to worried about their interactions so he decided just to let them get acquainted with each other. While they did that he took the time to take in their surroundings. It was while doing this that he noticed the woman’s Rookidee. It seemed to be trying to use leer to intimidate him. But it wasn’t really having any affect. Perhaps if he was someone different. But he had seen too much to allow something like that to intimidate him.

”Noted,” he said upon hearing her warning before continuing. ”As you’ve noticed Aurora and Selene don’t have that problem. In fact I swear that they plot together to get me friends. So of the friends I have are because they went over to someone completely ignoring me when I tell them to come back,” he admitted with a shake of his head.

The two eeveelutions for their part were trying to come off as innocent. Well Aurora was anyway. Selene had always been good at masking her emotions. Aurora could be as well at times.

Aurora was more obvious about her dislike of the way Eua was treating her trainer. Seeing this the young man pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. ”Just ignore it Aurora. I don’t want anything to get started,” he told the Espeon causing her to look at him.

He knew both Aurora and Selene were real protective of him. And while he appreciated it it would do more harm than good in this situation. ”My life isn’t in any danger,” the this time was left unsaid as he continued to stare into the Espeon’s eyes.

Finally Aurora backed down and he returned his attention to Shion. ”Aurora and Selene are both real protective over me. Though Aurora is more obvious about it,” he explained to her. Hopefully it wouldn’t seem strange and she wouldn’t question him about it.

Nodding he moved passed her and opened the door holding it open. ”After you,” he said indicating that she should go first. It was also an indication that he had manners ingrained in him since he was holding the door open instead of just hearing on inside.

Aurora and Selene had always been over protective of him. But it had gotten worse a few years back. The attack that had taken so much from him had been what they needed to become more protective of him. Probably because it was a was a situation where they could’ve all died. And it was for that reason that he was also pretty protective of his Pokémon.

Hearing her comment he nodded. ”I suppose that’s just Pokémon for you. They want to be able to keep their trainers safe,” he said with a chuckle. ”BUt then again I’m protective over my own Pokémon as well and would do whatever I can to ensure they’re safe.” Something he had almost failed to do one time.

As she moved passed him she smiled at him a gestured he returned. It was only after she was inside that he would follow her in making sure that door was shut behind him. And once he had done that he would take he chance to look around.

The theme of the place seemed like a mix of a cafe and a bookstore. It wasn’t tacky though and actually looked good. Whoever had designed the place knew exactly what they were doing to not make the place come off as tacky.

It didn’t take long for him to take in the decor of the building. And before to long he was following Shion over to a table beside the window. He waited until she had sat down before sitting down across from her.

”Yes it really is,” he agreed before continuing. ”Whoever came up with the design knew what they were doing. It’s just enough of a mix between cafe and bookstore not to come off as tacky.”[break] Shion Uehara
