Kaname moved at a leisurely pace through the Safari Zone. He paused near the large lake located within the conservation park and inhaled deeply, the fresh air was a change from the usual recycled air of the Rocket sub or that of the Ever Grande lab. He walked slowly around the edge of the lake, watching a few Wishiwashi splash about in a small school. "Maybe I will..." the scientist murmured, producing a Safari Ball and throwing it at one of the Wishwashi splashing about![break][break]

After a few minutes of walking through the trees, a couple of black and white blurs dashed past Kaname. The scientist recognizes them as Galarian Zigzagoons; speedy little Pokémon who like to play rough and fight. Kaname swiftly produced a pokeball from his bag as the two zigzagoon began to tussle and threw it at the one with its back turned to him, hoping to catch it.

The second zigzagoon promptly fled as its compatriot was captured. Kaname walked over and picked up the pokeball and stored it within his bag. Satisfied with his capture, he continued his walk through the woods, blissfully unaware of the small stream nearby that held a slumbering clamperl.

As Kaname walked through the forest, he happened upon a swarm of Ledyba surrounding a large berry tree. Each bug-type eagerly supped upon the berries, unaware of the man watching them chow down. "I think this won't serve me." He said decidedly, moving on from the swarm.

Kaname barely made it a few steps from the berry tree when all hell broke loose. An elekid rushed out from the bushes at the swarm of Ledyba, using Thunder Punch to scare off the swarm of bug types raiding his precious horde of berries. "Whoa!" Kaname shouted, backpedaling away from the swinging electric pokemon. Elekid continued it's Thunder Punching in a fit of rage; left with no choice, Kaname produced and threw a safari ball at the swing Elekid, hoping to capture it.

Having successfully captured the raging Elekid was a relief for Kaname, who walked over and picked the pokeball. "Better head back to the gate." He murmured, placing the pokeball in his bag; it had been a good trek through the Safari Zone. He'd caught several pokemon that might prove useful to him in the future.

Kaname was all set to head up the path to the exit, but the way was barred by the a small, fiery looking pokemon. A charcadet, a pokemon from the Paldea region... or at least he that's what he thought it was. "Hello there, little sentinel." He called to the Fire Child Pokemon, who only stared back with determination in his eyes. "I think you should... come home with me." The scientist said softly, producing a pokeball that he'd gently toss at the fire type, hoping to add it to his collection.
