Here's the thing about dancing. Magnus? He knows how to dance. Man went to the club scene often, and impressing the ladies and gents, he would dance and fly upon the dancefloor with an impressive rhetoric. He knew a thing about moving back, moving forth, spinning someone in his arms, and dipping.[break][break]

Naturally, when someone catches Leilani Reinhardt 's eye, he does the same damn thing he does with Jasmine. Jealousy starts to spike. A vein pops on his forehead. So some jackwagon has a yacht. Big deal... but this time, it pissed him off.[break][break]

Turns out, the heart is a fickle mistress.[break][break]

This time, he's done it. He moved the heaven and earths tonight, if by heavens he meant reservations, and earth he meant doing favors for someone. Nothing too crazy. But there were two parts to the night. The first one, was the dancefloor. But see, Lani practically frequented the clubs back home. This had to be special. Ain't gonna do somethin' basic. That's equivalent to telling her he couldn't keep it fresh.[break][break]

And if there's one thing known about Jack Magnus aside from his huge man tits, his big personality, and his second head... it was that he was fresh.[break][break]

So what does a man do, but make secret reservations for salsa dancing lessons at a local Mauville studio? He even got dressed up for this very occasion, slicked back his hair, shaved, everything. Man was lookin' clean, and he wanted to ensure that Lani saw that too. Add that to the dinner reservations for some Kalosian cuisine from the coveted Lumiose City...[break][break]

Oh yeah. Magnus kept it fresh. Jealousy made sure he did.[break][break]

Finally reaching their destination, dressed in a tight-fitting suit himself, he eyes Lani next to him, who... is looking incredibly fire, and asks. "Aight, princess. We're here. Ready for some salsa dancing?" he smugly coos out, revealing his intentions of where, and what now.

Maggie had told her to get her pretty ass up and get dressed earlier today but didn't tell her why. He told Lani she needed to dress up too which further added to Leilani's confusion. Despite the countless questions she barraged her big man with, he surprisingly kept his mouth shut. [break][break]

Matter-of-fact, Magnus had been acting strangely ever since she came home from her off-site job bragging about the yacht party. She had a lot of fun there, and it was her first time going on something like that before. As expected, she performed well and earned the bonus that was promised to her as well. All-in-all, a very lucrative gig if she said so herself. But instead of celebrating Lani's bag Maggie seemed...upset?[break][break]

She wondered if he was upset she didn't invite him to tag along. But it was work, she rarely interacted with Magnus when she was working, in case he fucked up in front of her clients. Couldn't have Orthrus losing money now. Keira Torres would kick his ass and hers for that. Either way, he seemed to be a bit better today. [break][break]

He looked good too, she hadn't been expecting him to clean up so well. Wherever they were going was sure to be interesting so Lani just enjoyed herself being the perfect little passenger princess she could be. Magnus parks the car and then glances over at her. "Aight, princess. We're here. Ready for some salsa dancing?"[break][break]

Lani's eyes widen at the mention of dancing. "We're going dancing?" She asked as she glanced around before taking in her outfit. It wasn't so bad, looked more like a performance piece than something comfortable to dance in. But this was Lani, she could dance in anything. "You should've given me a hint, I might've picked a different dress." she said but smiled at him nonetheless. "I'm excited, let's go." she said as she adjusted her outfit once more, specifically her glittering body jewelry that fit snuggly against her tanned skin.

Seeing those eyes widen, Magnus would smirk. Oh yeah, he was particularly happy to see her glance down at herself. She had gotten dolled up very well to this, and now Magnus was going to enjoy it. He looks at his own outfit too.[break][break]

"Nah, you lookin' fine, princess." His eyes are on her tits, his eyes are on her tits, back to her face. And... back to her tits.[break][break]

He gets out, helps Lani out of the car, excited and happy to see where this went, and takes her up the steps to the humble little studio.[break][break]

Immediately upon telling them he had made reservations for private lessons under 'MAGNUS', the duo are taken to the studio proper, where the dance instructor comes out. He's going over the general basics. How salsa works, a few tips. And he holds a hand towards Lani. To practice.[break][break]

Jealousy begins to pang over Magnus. It was innocent, the instructor just wanting to teach Leilani the basics, if she doesn't know them. To give a test run.[break][break]

This is the thing about Magnus' jealousy is yes, he's very open about the veins that pop on his head. But he's also very open about self-improvement. Make him jealous, he'll throw himself at a craft to do it better. And that jealousy might make him really get into salsa dancing.

"Oh I know." Leilani chirped in response to Magnus saying she looked fine. Her earlier comment wasn't in regards to if she looked good enough to dance, she just would've picked something specifically for this sort of thing. That gave off more of a 'dancey' vibe than what she had. Taking dance classes and going to dance at the club were two totally different things after all. [break][break]

Once they made it to the studio Lani new they were in for the real deal. Hearing the flair of the music already made her want to sway her body to the rhythm. She was extremely excited to be here. She couldn't remember the last time she took actual dance classes. Maybe when she was still a teen. [break][break]

Her father would tearfully attend every recital she ever had since she was young. Perhaps that's where her love for the art originally started. She had fond memories of those times back then. After some introductions and initial laughs between the pair and instructor, they have a little warm-up ice breaker that they go through before getting on with the actual lesson. [break][break]

Since Leilani was quite skilled when it came to dancing and picking up on routines quickly, she felt confident that this dance session would go well for her. Still she listened to the instructor attentively before he extended a hand towards her, for practice. Lani knew it was to help her but also help Magnus. He would observe the instructor's stance and then attempt to copy it when he was dancing with Lani himself later. [break][break]

However, Lani knew Magnus. His clenched fists, the flared veins on his temples, his displeased looked. She knew it all too well, still she couldn't help but find herself slightly amused. Usually this jealous was directed towards whomever Jasmine Blair was hanging out with, not her. Lani chuckled before brushing her hand gently against Maggie's rippled bicep. [break][break]

"Relax." she whispered as she flashed him a wink before taking the instructor's hand. Easier said than done, she knew him as well as she knew herself after all. The instructor grinned as he placed his hand on Lani's hip. His grip was firm, but if Lani knew her men, and she usually knew her men, she was aware that the slightly added pressure and the specific glint in his eyes eluded to his piqued interest in the woman before him. [break][break]

The music began and the two quickly went through the motions. Lani was graceful and as the instructor barked out commands and adjustments for her to follow she did so with ease. His words of encouragement egged her on and stoked her ego. The instructor did most of the work, Leilani just had to follow. But the added 'sauce' she brought to the dance could only come from her background in the art. Despite officially learning salsa for the first time she brought the confidence and sexiness needed in this art form. [break][break]

And she felt exhilarated by it.[break][break]

"Very Good!" The instructor praised her as he dipped her signaling the end of the practice. Lani grinned before bouncing over to Magnus and grabbing hold of his hand. "This is so fun!" she beamed. The instructor went to rewind the track for them so that their lesson with each other could begin. Meanwhile Lani hummed and swayed her hips to her own song. "Think you can do all that, big guy?" she teased with a smile on her lips.

It's something that Magnus CAN do. Will he though? No. It's working him up. But he lets it simmer. He lets it boil, and though he's boiling more than a Clauncher at a seafood place, he's doing this for Lani. Isn't about him. This is a date. A good time between the duo. Lani was one of his.[break][break]

Years ago, he said he'd take care of Lani. And... years ago, he meant that. He would. He would be there, to assist. And now, this guy might take that away from him, and the jealousy spiked like a punch to the jawline.[break][break]

He relaxes his fist.[break][break]

"Sorry, princess." He's definitely sorry that he is, but he can't help it. But then comes the dance.[break][break]

He was boiling before. Now though, he's on fire. He knows he's not the biggest special dancer, as he frequented the clubs more often than not, but once the music began, and the dancing started, it was like a whole new level. The show, the encouragement, the sex appeal. If one didn't know any better, he'd have popped a blood vessel. On FIRE. But he kept it in. He held it close. He swallowed pride, venom and poison.[break][break]

Once the song was over, and the instructor praised them, Magnus felt confident. He had a few things working against him, but he had the general vibe. Two lines, back and forth over them, moving spinning, seeing his princess be the sexiest one in the room.[break][break]

Hearing Lani's excitement made it worth it all, and so he smiles back. This was a great idea after all, and so his grip, a little tight, comes over.[break][break]

"Damn right, I can." No hesitation. No lack of confidence, there is no if, there is no but. He CAN mimic the instructor. He WILL.[break][break]

And so, the music starts again, matching outfits together. And Magnus begins his own movements, and he does his best to mimic the instructor. It isn't perfect. It's quite sloppy, but the Instructor tilts their head. He was still making it work. What was phenomenal was the brain inside of the head. Even if rough around the edges, Maggie was actually pulling it off. He's no prodigy, it still needed refining, but as the instructor barked commands to them...[break][break]

Magnus follows the orders, and grins. A hand to her hand, a step to her step, everything on two lines.[break][break]

This is why it was so important to read a book. Because Jack Magnus was nobody's fool. This was his woman. One of two. And he meant to keep to his promise.

Magnus' hand that gripped her waist was possessive, she could tell in how tightly he held her close to him. "Damn right, I can." was his reply. Leilani's smirk and slight shoulder shrug was a tease, a challenge to see if he could live up to those bold words he had just proclaimed. [break][break]

Once the music started though, she was quick to eat those thoughts as she followed Maggie's lead as their salsa raised the temperature of the room. Magnus wasn't just going through the motions. Sure it was a little sloppy here and there, but Magnus wasn't really a dancer so Leilani wasn't expecting much. But what he was actually doing was quite impressive considering as far as Lani knew, this was his first time doing something like this. [break][break]

So he had picked all of this up just from watching the instructor? Not to mention, he was actively adapting his performance while the instructor barked orders at him. That sort of corrective discipline was a talent not everyone was born with. While they dipped and tangoed Lani found herself laughing as they spun around the room. [break][break]

Dancing with the instructor had been fun, but sure enough nothing compared to having fun with Magnus. Because Magnus was doing so well, Lani began to add her own flair and sexiness to the moves. Making it completely her own instead of just following instruction. After all, that's what dance was all about, self expression and confidence. [break][break]

When the music finally died down the pair were left slightly sweaty and out of breath but nonetheless, Lani had the biggest, brightest grin on her face for the first time in a long while. She quickly closed the distance between them to hug and latch onto Magnus as she giggled. "You did so well! What the heck Maggie?" she said as she gripped his face between her hands. "You sure this is your first time?"

The music starts, the hips swing, and heat rises. The two of them, the hottest icon in the room. Every order, followed, every movement of his body, corrected. Every mistake led to fewer. He learned as they danced, and with each dip, with each spin, as she laughs, he grins wider. When she adds the spice, the way her body moves, the flair, the control, he is gawking, he's practically into it. He starts adapting what he can, to match that energy. To add some spice.[break][break]

Magnus, had he ever gotten the chance to have a normal life, was one of the smartest brick shithouses around. He would have gone to college, and had his whole life ahead of him. But that wasn't the Jack Magnus way. Now, all he had was a knack for picking up a skill.[break][break]

Thank fuck he loved reading in juvie.[break][break]

When the music dies, and he holds her to him, a grin matched to Lani's, he wipes the beads of sweat from his face, only to get latched onto by Lani. And her giggles only have him look proud. He had that dog in him after all.[break][break]

"Damn right I did." He felt her fingers grip his face, and he looks so fuckin' proud of himself. "I danced at the club, you know that. Just a little different set of moves is all." He's bashful, damn right this was his first salsa, and he damn knocked it out of the park. Even the instructor was impressed, a clap from the distance.[break][break]

Enough patting himself on the back... okay, maybe more working the shaft. "What about you? You tryin' to get me sprung right here?" He can feel his hands running down her outfit, to her hips now, picking her up, a brow risen to the occasion. How else to explain her own movements?! She must have done it before.[break][break]

All the while, he pondered giving another show of it. He just needed to catch his breath. "We got a few hours here. I ain't done till my legs are burnin'."[break][break]

A charming smirk, placing her down, he holds her hand out. "Shall we, princess?"

"What about you? You tryin' to get me sprung right here?" Maggie asks her which just has her giggle in response. His big strong hands snake down her body before scooping her up with ease into his arms. Leilani flicked a piece of her hair over her shoulder with her wrist as a confident smile adorned her lips. [break][break]

"Well, you know me. Dancing is in my blood." she said with a simple shrug. "Though it has been a while since I've done the salsa so I am a touch rusty." she admitted. "We got a few hours here. I ain't done till my legs are burnin'." Lani patted his arm so that he could set her down. [break][break]

"Sounds good to me. I can dance all night long, baby." she grinned as he extending a hand towards her. "Shall we, princess?" Lani takes his hand and nods. Just like that, the music begins to thump and play throughout the small studio once more and Magnus and Lani are back at it. They practically fly across the floor as they begin to pick up speed. [break][break]

The longer the pair practiced the easier it all became for them, after all they were ridiculously fast learners. The Instructor was getting a front row seat of this as he stared at them in disbelief. He didn't have anything left to truly teach them as they had not only taken his corrections as they continued to dance but also learned to add in their own personal flair to the dance. [break][break]

Lani was having so much fun. Her face was flushed from the heat of the cardio they were working up but she didn't mind. It'd been a long time since she was so excited to dance like this so she was thoroughly enjoying her time with Magnus. He lead her beautifully to the point their pace became so in sync it felt like they were just one person.

Honestly, dancing with Lani was something he never knew he'd enjoy so much. Swinging around, spinning away, and showing off that salsa was very much easy for them both. Lani wanted more, and so did Magnus.[break][break]

Making the Instructor lose it from how well they caught on was a bonus, considering the jealousy.[break][break]

Each movement, faces flushed, heat and cardio caused the sweat to drip down their bodies, their faces. He leads her, she follows, she leads him, he follows. In sync, they felt similar. They felt so similar that no one else could enter their sphere.[break][break]

Truth be told. Leilani Reinhardt was a woman he couldn't be without. No matter what day of the week. He needed her around.[break][break]

Each step made that apparent.[break][break]

So here they were, now resting on a bench, as Magnus ran a hand through damp hair, drinking from a water bottle like it was the fountain of youth. He'd bought two for the two of them, and as he downed his own, he would look down at himself. His outfit was a little damp here or there from the sweat, but it was all in fun for the salsa. Now they had a moment to talk.[break][break]

"Feels like forever since we just did somethin' like this, huh?"

Magnus asked her now that they were both resting on a bench outside of the studio. Now that they had a moment to catch their breath and were alone, Lani felt a soft tiredness wash over her. Taking a long swing from her water bottle she closed the cap and had the bottle rest against the nape of her neck to cool her down. The cool night air nipped at her sweat damped skin, causing a few goosebumps to form here and there, but it was welcomed due to how heated she was feeling. [break][break]

"Yeah it's definitely been a while." Lani responded with a soft chuckle. "It was extremely sweet of you to think of doing something like this though..." she said before smiling at him. "Thank you." she really meant that. Sometimes it was easy to get caught up with work and everything else going on around her. It was nice to just have a moment between them. [break][break]

"How are you?" it was a simple question but awfully loaded. She didn't want a simple answer, but the truth. How was he really? Mentally, physically, emotionally? Life wasn't easy, so how was he dealing the many things that came his way? Magnus was a natural born leader and often shouldered a lot more than he let on and it wasn't easy for him to open up and talk about it. But he could always open up to her and she'd always be there to listen.
