WHAT IS[break]THE RKS SIMULATION?

TEAM ROCKET DISCOVERS THAT THE SEAL STONE procured from Ultra Deep Sea is able to allow trainers to explore a simulated universe. Through careful or reckless choices, trainers and their Pokemon can experience scenarios that explore the cosmology of the universe, past and future events, and more...[break][break]

Your characters will encounter scenario after scenario in non-sequitur fashion due to how the simulated universe forces your scenario to shift after some time. Leaving the simulated universe can only be done through one of two ways: simulated death or reaching the end of the RKS Simulation's session time.[break][break][break][break]

UPDATE (12/11/2023)

AFTER THE EVENTS OF RESURFACED TREASURES, the League has acquired a SEAL STONE. The Seal Stone has allowed them to build an "RKS Simulation" of their own. The League has offered its citizens a chance to explore the simulation like a university asking for volunteers in psychological studies. The more data that is collected, the better.[break][break]

However, TEAM ROCKET has the upper-hand. Having run through the simulation many times, they encounter a glitch (or is it purposeful?) in the system. They encounter a scenario involving what seems to be the whereabouts of Arceus...[break][break]

Lastly, the SCARLET & VIOLET BOOKS are found to function similarly to Seal Stones. When inserted into the Simulation Machine like a game cartridge, they provide a new update of possible scenarios pulled from the universe...

HOW TO PLAY

IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE, please heed the following list of instructions. This event is meant to be largely self-directed without the need of waiting for moderator intervention.[break][break]

• At least TWO CHARACTERS must participate.

• Select ONE SCENARIO from STAGE ONE, click on the link below, and copypaste the code from the PASTEBIN.
[break]

• Create a thread in the RKS SYSTEM BOARD using the copied code.
[break]

• If participating in EXTRACTION, create a thread in the ULTRA DEEP SEA BOARD or THE DESERT, ROUTE 105, ROUTE 120, NEW MAUVILLE, OR METEOR FALLS, ETC. (as specified) using the copied code.

• The player who copypastes the code is allowed to DOUBLE POST with a subsequent IC post.
[break]

• Unanimously, players must decide on which narrative direction to take from the provided options before writing out the scenario. This can be done through multiple rounds of posting or one.

• After the posting round, one player must click on the chosen option's link to copy the code from the PASTEBIN.
[break]

• The player must paste the code into the thread.
[break]

• Another round of posting ensues.
[break]

• After the posting round, players must pick a scenario from STAGE TWO and repeat the process.
[break]

• STAGE THREE is the last scenario players and their characters will explore.
[break]

• After STAGE THREE'S POSTS are complete, you may submit the thread to MOD REQS.
[break]

• You may have multiple RKS threads ongoing; however, please be reasonable.

TEAM ROCKET HAS PROCURED THE FIRST SEAL STONE. In doing so, they've uncovered a SIMULATED UNIVERSE extracted from the stone's "data". This chapter explores a myriad of scenarios, including those that illuminate in part, the relationship between ARCEUS and the DRK TRIAD.[break][break]

THE LEAGUE REACHES THE DEEPEST EXTREMITIES OF ULTRA DEEP SEA. The realm is revealed to be the innards of a gargantuan ETERNATUS, but it is uncertain whether this creature is from this universe or another's...[break][break]

Knowledge gained from the events of GOODBYE GALAR have allowed researchers to begin developing ways to introduce DYNAMAXING into the Hoenn region. However, in order for this to happen, materials imbued with DYNAMAX ENERGY must first be harvested from the ETERNATUS itself.[break][break]

However, the operation is dangerous. Usable materials can only be harvested by the ETERNATUS' CORE in the deepest part of the realm. Here, paranoia and hallucinations caused by the space-distorting energies of DYNAMAX threaten your trainers' well-beings. To further complicate matters, POISON TERA CRYSTALS have begun forming within the ETERNATUS' BODY as well...[break][break]

UPDATE: Extraction has now expanded to include locations involving AUTHENTIC POWER SPOTS. Team Rocket characters may also participate in ULTRA DEEP SEA prompts by way of Terastal Caverns connecting to Granite Cave. However, do note that this operation would be risky or heavily hindered due to the League's stronghold on mining operations within ULTRA DEEP SEA.

CURIO COMPENDIUM

THROUGHOUT YOUR ADVENTURES IN THE SIMULATED UNIVERSE, your characters will be able to obtain simulated "curios", rare and unusual objects that are known or rumored to exist in the world. These are not physical items. However, your characters can peruse their data freely in or outside of the simulation.[break][break]

Curiously, the descriptions for each curio seem to be written by The DRK Triad.[break][break]

Throughout your adventures in The RKS Simulation, you may earn CURIOS depending on your choices. However, you can only earn 3 CURIOS PER THREAD. At the end of each RKS thread, you can select ONE CURIO, which is included in the total three curios you can receive.[break][break]
