He’d gone through a hot streak at the ring-a-diglett game when luck, his favorite fickle mistress, abandoned him.

Now he was stomping grumpily across the carnival grounds to the ATM to get more cash. Because he was a slave to the game, you understand.

His pout was so strong he almost ran face-first into someone.

So a carnival was in town. His sister had been the one to tell him. Figured he could attend. Something about him needing some time to be the kid he actually was. Or something like that. It also ran along the lines of him trying something new. Since he had never attended a carnival before.

His sister had managed to come along as well but while she was distracted he had slipped away. He didn’t need his sister looking out for him. As cruel as that might sound. He could check out the carnival himself. See what it had to offer. So he walked around aimlessly for a bit.

He was studying a few of the stalls he moved passed when movement from his peripheral vision caught his attention. On instinct he moved back a step before turning to see what had caught his attention. It seemed he had just avoided running into someone.

After focusing he realized he knew the person. ”Ultra Plant,” he said absently as he wondered why the older male was here. This wasn’t the kind of place he expected to run into him again. Then again he wasn’t really sure where he would expect to run into him again.
