A case in which researcher Josef Gordienko was tasked with exploring and examining Hoenn's strange phenomenon of space-time distortions, but ended up going missing. After loss of contact with Gordienko for an indiscriminate amount of time, officials had put a pause on search and rescue efforts until a better understanding of space-time distortions were developed. [break][break] After a month, static was detected on Gordienko's equipment even though they didn't receive an official statement from Gordienko. Officials arrived at the scene and retrieved Gordienko, who was clearly disturbed, and checked him into Petalburg City's Psychiatric Hospital. There Dr. Fleming treated Gordienko for a month before tragedy struck the hospital. Officials were alerted of a massive fire outbreak at the hospital where there were only a few casualties. [break][break] Failure to locate the bodies of Gordienko and Dr. Fleming, officials have concluded that the pair were trapped in the fire and perished. Dr. Fleming was given a posthumous medal of honor for her assistance in helping patients escape the fire. Condolences go out to the families of those that were lost. But you didn't perish in that fire like they all believed. Instead the fire that was believed to be your demise was the cause of your rebirth. For your eyes were now open to the truth.
