[attr="class","cianmain"]cian's relationship with his brothers has never been more strained than as of late. he never would have guessed that his departure from rocket would have resulted in the mahers being split apart. actually, no, he had guessed that. he had known for a fact that there would be repercussions he might not be able to come back from.

like how their father was killed. this, however, he has yet to find out.

today's visit is to make amends. he travels all the way to fallarbor, to the place he had spent last thanksgiving at. oh, how time flies.

retirement. farm work had been much more laborious than sitting in an office as he’d done so much before, but the tasks were pleasantly monotonous. he could think freely all day.[break][break]

and he did look well. healthier than before, in a number of ways. and cian looked like cian, however he was. he was there, part of a home that bo had missed.[break][break]

”good. it’s nice to have my family back.” he meant willow atkins and roman, of course, but also cian. his lack of smile made it ambiguous, however.[break][break]

this is a step in the right direction.

sincere praise, but the soberness of his tone was still tired of facing the repercussions of a past he had carefully covered up. his efforts were a pile of leaves, blown away by someone he could not stay mad at.[break][break]

his thoughts shifted to cian's twin ghost, and their father, then, whom he had been waiting out a silent grudge towards. he imagined it would never end, for surely rocket had ordered him to kill them both.[break][break]
