Perhaps it is meant to be a pleasant vision. A mercy.[break][break]

All Cillian sees is a false promise of a future he knows he shouldn't chase. Hunger fills him, dangerous and desperate, as he takes in the details of the office and realizes the implications on display.[break][break]

He shakes his head, mute.[break][break]

"I want out," he says softly, to a Xatu that either isn't listening or doesn't care.[break][break]

His breath quickens with building panic. First the ever-watchful Unown, then Walsh, now this? Was he being tested?[break][break]

That such a future could be possible through loyalty, rather than treason, does not yet occur to his frantic mind. He reaches for Temp's hand as the simulation begins to shift, signifying the end of their journey.
