Amor had decided to come to the carnival to take his mind off things. So much had been going on from his recent promotion to Head Scientist, to trying to cheer up Elinor Anderson . So he found himself at the carnival today without his Pikachu, Adontis, he figured his little friend needed a break since he got sick from eating to much candy last time. So, instead Amor was accompanied by his Dragonite, it took two heads taller than the average Dragonite, and it made sure people didn't get to close. Which was nice, Amor was lost in thoughts, and he hadn't payed attention to where he was going, and the moment he snapped out of it, he realized....He was lost.

Amor frowned as he started looking around, the last time he had come had been at another location, this place was all rearranged, and everything wasn't where it should have been. At least in his mind. Frowning thoughtfully as he didn't recognized where he was. Of course he could just hop on the back of Draco, but that would probably freak people out if they saw some stranger descend from the sky on the back of an oversized dragon. So instead he tried to retrace his steps.

He's sure that he's been down this path before. Or well, as sure as he can be when considering that looking in any direction just gets him a bunch of reflections. Such is the wicked nature of mirror mazes, always managing to destroy one's sense of direction the moment they lose sight of a certain anchor point.[break][break]

Still, he'd be a fool to let this get him down. And so he does what he does best, camping out a decent corner hidden from direct view and plotting his next little trick. Should he make the mirrors shake? Or perhaps, he should mess around and create a trick of the light to warp their reflections. The last few times he'd done it, he had made some kids freak out thinking there was a proper ghost haunting these halls.[break][break]

Surely, at some point he must have felt bad seeing them cr-[break][break]

No. No, he did not. There was just something particularly funny about watching kids freak out and walk into mirrors as a result of their panic. Of course, he always made sure that they were okay after but other than that, he was simply a pop-up attraction unbeknownst to the carnies outside.[break][break]

Imagine his surprise when he spies his next target - Or well, he dismisses the man as a possible target pretty quickly, voting to focus on the kid heading in their direction instead. And with a signal, Mahina nudges the lights with a bit of gravity, creating the illusion of the mirrors being much further than they actually are.[break][break]

Thunk![break][break]

A loud plop follows right after, the kid falling onto their ass and staring at the mirror in stunned silence.[break][break]

He had continued to wander around until he found his way into the Hall of Mirrors, and this didn't help him out anymore than being outside, but at least here he had a sense of direction, sort of. As he funneled himself through the place he realized quickly that the mirrors seemed to be shifting more than normal, at least what he thougth should be normal. Frowning he looked around, and was slowly able to weave himself through the reflections, but that is when he saw a kid on the ground crying. Apparently he had walked into one of the mirrors not seeing it, and Amor just walked up to him with an easy smile.

"Hey there don't cry, it's gonna be okay...." He cooed the child who was slowly calming down. It was always crying after silence, it wasn't so much the pain that made children cry, such as it was the sudden difference. And so Amor offered the kid a piggyback ride until they could both find their way out of here. However he kept his gaze sharp, he realized that something was strange going on in this mirror land, and if someone was going to try, and play a prank on him they were going to have to try a lot harder. "Hold on kid, we'll be out of here in no time." he promised, but it was mostly an empty one as he had no idea when they would get out.

The main issue was to figure out why the mirrors were changing distances, or at least perceived distances the way they were. Was someone controlling the lights, or the mirrors directly? This was something that he was going to have to investigate while he was here, he didn't want someone actually breaking the glass, and getting hurt after all.

Another kid stunned bursts into tears, and he almost walks up to check on them if not for that man getting to it much faster than he did. So business carries on as usual, voices echoing through the maze various fairgoers attempt to conquer its depths.[break][break]

Now, he really has no interest in tormenting kids more than just making them experience their first time walking into a mirror. So he leaves that behind, continuing his attempt through the maze with Mahina keeping a lookout for new targets.

It took some time, but after several minutes Amor finally managed to escape the House of Mirrors with his newfound accessory, though not for long as the boy's mother came up to him, and thankfully retrieved her child. Amor just looked a bit confused as she shot him a dirty look, and he had the urge to tell her not to leave her kid alone. However he resisted the urge to question the parenting skills of another....Though he did wonder if that child would be better off as an orphan? Shaking his head of that thought, Amor couldn't just go around making new orphans in the world. That would reflect poorly on his character, and he just chuckled a little.

"Now I'm curious as to who was messing with the kids in the mirrors...." Amor just waited outside of the exit for someone to come out that looked like they would bully small children. Would he find them? Probably not, but he could respect instilling a little trauma into the young.

When he actually bothers putting a little effort into finding the exit, he realises that they'd been very close to the exit after all. And he'll step into the open, daylight breaking upon his skin as he takes in a deep breath and stretches.[break][break]

"Man, mazes really do take a lot of brain cells huh, Mahina?"[break][break]

She reaches to bat his shin, earning a quiet huff as he shakes his leg out.

Someone came out, it was a boy....? Looking them over to make sure, Amor confirmed that it was indeed a male, or at least he hoped so. Shaking his head he approached them looking behind them curiously.

"Excuse me....Did you see anyone else in there? I think someone was in there causing issues for some of the children." Amor pointed to the woman who had treated him rather poorly before looking back inside the exit. A gentle smile on his features as he hoped to garner some form of information. Or if that didn't work, then he would at least be able to tell the Carnie who ran this attraction. His teal eyes honed in on the face of the other easily.

At the very least he could say that he tried.
