It's a stern warning from someone so young. She sounds like a woman twice her age. In another life, in another world, perhaps that's true in some sense. But even so, the practical reality is she's still just a young girl forced to grow up much too soon. That much hasn't changed, and wouldn't have no matter how many years she spent in Galar.[break][break]

She takes one glance at the wound she's poured sap onto. It'll do for now. A field remedy, til she can get real medical treatment for this soldier. Til then...[break][break]

Out of the explosion of light emerges a giant Venusaur, twice its regular size. She was once the matriarch of a clan, though she has since abjugated that throne. Now she follows another. A young girl, forced to grow up too soon.[break][break]

"Dragon claw" a voice suddenly appearing amongst the tree line, yet hidden as if the trees themselves were speaking out loud. [break][break]

From out of nowhere a Kommo-o rushes towards the Venasaur as it's claws alight with power and it attempts to slash at the enemy's pokemon with draconic energy. The voice slowly makes it's appearance as it seems the trees on the shoreline begin to move unnaturally. A tree seems to stretch and melt as it extends into the form of a human and Bryan splits off from a tree with the ground thudding underneath his massive feet. [break][break]

He stretches his body and cracks his neck as he prepares to fight "You're in my new turf, kid." he warns her "Either leave or I'll kill you. Got it?"

The strike comes out of nowhere, slashing Ayame's side and whipping her up into a rage. She bellows angrily, snapping vines in the pokemon's direction, threatening it to keep its distance as bloodshot eyes stare down her new opponent.[break][break]

Tsubaki turns to face the direction of the voice, watching a man in a gilly suit clamber from the treeline, threatening her life. She grits her teeth in response, defiant look in her eyes as her blood boils. [break][break]

What a cheap shot.[break][break]

"If only you knew how many people have said the same thing! I ain't backing down!" [break][break]

She glares at him before she thrusts her finger to the sky overhead, shouting with all her might. [break][break]

"Ayame! Use Solar Beam!"[break][break]

There's no holding back. [break][break]

Sunlight pools off of the Venusaur's flower, dripping like dew as the sun soaks her blossom with solar energy. It takes a mere second before the energy is unleashed like a laser, burning the air itself to deliver a destructive beam point-blank at the intruder's pokemon in retaliation.[break][break]

Their combined hatred, resentment, their fighting spirit... all of it behind that single attack! [break][break]

The solar beam lands it's mark as Kommo-o throws it's arms up in defiance as it tanks the hit. The heavy attack dealing significant damage against the dragon however as the attack ends, the skin on the pokemon's skin singes and leaves a small cloud of smoke from it. In return the dragon type roars loudly, using Clangorous soul to sacrifice some of it's own health to boost it's stats temporarily. [break][break]

However something most unnatural occurs shadow wisps of smoke shed from it's body, accompanied by black vines coating it's body. This pokemon roars loudly again as it's obvious this is a SHADOW KOMMO-O "I'm sure you have. However none of them have been ME, bitch." he growls as he sends his next order. [break][break]

"For the glory of team rocket." he barks at her as his kommo-o rushes towards venusaur and unleashes a CLOSE COMBAT attack and Bryan moves over towards a massive tree trunk log and starts to lift it using his SUPER STRENGTH and lobs it right at

The sand beneath the Kommo-o's feet is turned to blackened glass. And yet, the dragon remains upright, ready for a counterattack. Typically anything that confronts her Venusaur's Solar Beam is vaporized instantly. Tsubaki can't believe it.[break][break]

She clenches her fist, glaring at the man with defiance as her nails sink deep into her hand, drawing blood. As the man approaches and lifts a tree from the ground, she feels more helpless than she's ever felt in her life.[break][break]

"Glory...?" She balks, letting her spirit fill the keystone in her glasses frame. "What glory!?"[break][break]

Her Venusaur is bathed in light, letting out a roar as she grows under the light of the sun. [break][break]

"Rocket's nothing but a cancer! FUCK Rocket!"[break][break]

Tsubaki's cry is lost in her Venusaur's simultaneous roar.[break][break]

Ayame transforms, her flower growing to twice its size while a rank pollen scent fills the air. She overflows with green energy, and the beach explodes seconds later with the might of Frenzy Plant. A wall of roots slam upward in all directions, jagged edges aiming to pierce, twisting, stabbing, coiling wildly. Nothing save Tsubaki is spared the wrath of that attack.[break][break]

They are a wall, a bastion meant to keep her safe. Even as the Kommo-o and its trainer pummel them with thrown fists and thrown logs, punching holes, their growth fills the gaps, til Tsubaki can't be seen. [break][break]

He grins, he got under her skin, that was all he needed to sow some mistakes in this battle. A frenzy plant ruptures the area as thick and dangerous vines sprout all over the beach and swallow the kommo-o in it's tendrils as it struggled to free itself. [break][break]

Bryan is obscured from her vision, surely looking like the attack took him out, but laughter echoed in the air as he was enjoying this. The vines she summoned begin to twist and turn as he moves through them. "Cancer huh? What you call a cancer I call a cure." he replies as Bryan outstretches a hand towards the Kommo-o and postures his fingers strangley. [break][break]

The vines start to move out of the way, the kommo-o was still hurt by the attack but now he was released. "Mega evolution huh? Mind if I join in on the fun then? Greninja, mega." he says as he drops a pokeball and a greninja emerges and glows with a brilliant light as it it syncs up to his mega stone on his ear-ring. "Water shuriken, close combat." he orders as the kommo-o rushes forward trying to unleash a flurry of blows onto the venusaur as greninja manifests a massive water shuriken and launches it directly at

[attr="class","star2tsu"]Tsubaki stops as the man walks fearlessly toward sharp, rippling roots and vines. He parts them effortlessly, were he one with the forest as her Venusaur itself. [break][break]

"Cure...? What could you possibly cure by... killing, stealing, razing everything in your path!?"[break][break]

She takes a step back, and grits her teeth. Something tells her she won't get through to him. That talk is cheap. But, rather than acknowledge that he's parted her Venusaur's strongest technique effortlessly, she distracts herself with meaningless banter. [break][break]

The man sends out another pokemon, and all at once, the roots beneath her Venusaur retreat, as if the forest itself were called to listen to a higher power than her. She growls menacingly, staring at the opponents in front of her. She is the last thing protecting Tsubaki.[break][break]

Close Combat is met with a flurry of vines that snag and attempt to drag down the dragon's limbs, though each punch manages to break through the thick fat Ayame wears like armor, wearing her down. Venusaur bellows in response, calling upon the sun overhead to unleash a second beam of light to evaporate everything in front of her, including the Kommo-o. [break][break]

Kommo-o's assault leaves Greninja free to flank, however. [break][break]

Tsubaki turns to glance at it, trying to leap out of the way of a water shuriken that might cut her in two, but it's much too fast for her. Unlike 's Hattori, who dotes on her at all costs, this Greninja is out to kill. [break][break]

The girl closes her eyes, awaiting the worst, but... it doesn't come.[break][break]

She blinks, and opens her eyes to see a shape emerge from the long shadow cast by her Venusaur's Solar Beam. A primordial ghost, uttering curses beneath her breath to cast Shadow Ball just in time. In the strong sunlight, she moves just fast enough to intercept the attack, to match the speed of a ninja. [break][break]

It tears through the vines as if they were mere leafs underneath it's foot, however it's met once again with a solar beam as it uses his shells to try and defend itself. However the close combat left it's defenses weakened.[break][break]

It falls to a knee in response unable to act momentarily but Greninja cuts in time to try and distract the team. Yet the shadow the girl created gave way for a new pokemon to enter the fray. A strange looking misdreavius took to the scene and used shadow ball to deflect the water shuriken strike. [break][break]

"Don't you cure an illness by killing the virus causing it? For the good of the whole body?" He asks as he gives out his new set of orders "Smoke screen, block out the sun giving her strength." Greninja's color scheme changes as it's PROTEAN activates and changes it to NORMAL type as a black smoke erupts onto the field in an attempt to obscure the artificial sun she created. [break][break]

"Kommo-o, leech seed the ghost." he says as Kommo-o vines starte dto bud and flower as it shakes some of the vines on it's body like whips towards the fluttermane plant the parasitic seeds.

A virus...? No, you inoculate against those, idiot... the body fights intruders with good versions of the virus, purging all the bad. That's what she is. She'll fix the League yet, give her a chance... but... but this is just a fucking distraction. What's it matter? He doesn't care what he's saying.[break][break]

"F-Fuck you!"[break][break]

She manages to cough out an insult, withering alongside her Mega Venusaur. The two of them are helpless among the smoke, but her Flutter Mane lacks the biology to suffer from it, watching the vines creep over her. [break][break]

A violent glare in response, and a surging brain wave shocks the Kommo-o with malevolent thought patterns. Even as her life is sapped away, she positions herself between her master and the Greninja leaping about. [break][break]

The psyshock was the final straw, the Kommo-o falls to the ground, not completely fainted but too tired to continue fighting. Bryan recalls it into it's pokeball and sucks his teeth in annoyance. He sends out his Audino "Sol. Encore that ghost, Greninja use shadow sneak." he orders as Greninja sneaks into the shadows to avoid being detected. [break][break]

He reappears underneath the fluttermane, coated in ghostly energy as PROTEAN activates again changing it to a dark type and kicks it from underneath in an attempt to launch it into the air and expose the pokemon above the smoke screen and use Encore to lock it into psyshock. "Cmon kid. Is that really the best you got?"

She flies upward with the ghostly ninja into the bright sun, staring at it with malice in her eyes. She's almost ready to fade, but she flickers back, pulling herself together with the curses that pour from her master.[break][break]

The sound of an encore forces her to retread the past, though the past is her own domain. Before the frog can use another move to switch its type, while it remains a ghost, her malignant brainwaves rip stones from the earth and crush them together in the frog's place.[break][break]

Tsubaki struggles to breathe. It isn't pollutants she specializes in. The most she's dabbled in is a batch of her typical perfume, made of salazze pheromones, a touch too strong - leading to hallucinations and a suggestive state. [break][break]

She can hear him though, and his words cause her to shout back through the cloud of smoke.[break][break]

"A-Aya, sh-show hi... *cough* ...m what we're made o-of...!"[break][break]

A psychic erupts from the Audino's mind as it tries to redirect the frenzy plant. It doesn't fully work, the pokemon's power is much more than her own however she does manage to make it so he hits a less vital spot from her and it creates a deep gash in her arm. she cries out in pain as the frenzy plant continues to rip through further as it pins and pushes him back. [break][break]

The life bringer grips onto the plant, using his strength to try and pry himself free of the roots, even using his own ability to push back against it. "Greninja!" he orders as the pokemon's water shuriken slices the vines into pieces. It then switches angles and uses SMACK DOWN on the venusaur again. Bryan watches as his team starts to grow weary and tired, their injuries severe. He starts to gather energy.

Tsubaki directs them behind the wall of roots spilling from the white sand, but it's clear the battle is turning. Not only do his pokemon keep coming, but so does he. As if he doesn't fear the tremendous power of a Venusaur in bloom, brimming with visible life-energy, he approaches the roots and moves them with his hands.[break][break]

Aya flinches from the exertion of her attack and the power of Greninja's own. She winces and stares up at the sun with anger in her eyes, while Higa's sinister eyes congeal masses of curses uttered under her breath, sending a last-ditch shadow ball directly at the trainer that dares get involved himself.[break][break]

He smirks at her. "I'm a symbol of strength." as he pushes the ball of infinity energy into the air and it erupts outwards towards his side of the field. [break][break]

"I am the life bringer, partner to xerneas." he answers as if speaking him into existence, the vines move again, unnaturally as they start to bundle up together as if creating room and a new figure emerges from it. Xerneas splits off from the tree roots, it's fairy aura activating just as greninja's mega evolution times out. [break][break]

The injured pokemon he left on the field start to heal up, their wounds vanishing right before 's eyes. "And you're getting out my way. Water shuriken, power whip, moon blast." he orders as they focus their attacks onto the venasaur

She shouts her trusted partner's name, but the Venusaur shunts her backwards, planting a forest of trees and vines and roots into white sand. Tsubaki's carried away as the wall of brush grows taller, watching helplessly with her arm outstretched. She witnesses a burst of fae light, watches the raw cutting power of water against flesh, before the trees block her view entirely.[break][break]

"AYA!!" [break][break]

Higa grasps Tsubaki tightly, ripping her free from the vines that threaten to overtake her. The ghost's tendrils ensnare her completely, preventing any movement at all. She can't even cry out. She can only watch helplessly as the forest falls away beneath them.[break][break]

Cast upon the rays of the sun that Ayame summoned, Higa drags Tsubaki far away into the skies. Further than she's ever flown before, even when she once had wings in an ancient world, as far as she can until even her incorporeal body gives out. Only then does she set her Master down and tend to her wounds. [break][break]

The speed of her flight, given by Ayame's Sunny Day, is all that spares Tsubaki from the same fate as her treasured Venusaur.[break][break]
